Weak

The room was cold, I awoke from my sleep with goosebumps all over my body. It is fall so it's expected to be cold, though I was still caught off guard by it. I got out of bed and headed over to my dresser so I could change clothes, I ended up picking a blue hoodie and black shorts.

"It's freezing today, why was last time so much warmer?" I said putting a blanket over my body. I walked over to my fridge so I could make myself breakfast, right before I opened it my phone buzzed. I stopped what I was doing and walked over to my phone to see what the notification was. It wasn't anything special, just a notification about some gacha game I play in my free time.

"Dang it, I was hoping it was the grocery store accepting me as an employee. This sucks, I'm eighteen and unemployed. Sooner or later I won't be able to pay rent, I was lucky enough I had my last job for as long as I did." I didn't know what to do next, I wish my life didn't end up like this. I wish my parents didn't die that day, I blamed myself for their death. Because of that I believed I didn't deserve the family name.

"I need some fresh air." I said with a sad expression. I put my phone back on my table and put my blanket back on my bed. I thought about what I should do today, I figured going out on a run wouldn't be to bad. I also was running low on food so I could make a trip to the market, I opened my front door and left my room. I made sure to lock behind me when I heard someone behind me clearing their throat.

"Why so sad? Today looks amazing, nobody should be sad on a day like this." I knew who this was, it was my next door neighbor. She always had that smile on her face, but to me that smile never reached her eyes. I believed her being nice is just a facade and she's hiding something, but it's not really my business so I don't worry about it to much.

"Sorry, I'm not really in the mood right now. I just want to have a quiet day and I feel like I might snap at you on complete accident." I walked past her and headed down the stairs, her eyes felt like daggers in my back. I guess I said something I shouldn't have, I'm never really good with social interactions.

While walking down the road I felt as if I were being watched, it felt the same as when my neighbor was looking at me. I didn't know how to act in a situation like this, I was pretty sure I was being followed and I didn't know if who ever was following me had a weapon or not. My best bet was to just stay calm and head to the market that was only a couple of minutes away.

Thankfully before anything bad happened I made it to the store, I blew a sigh of relief believing I was safe. But what I saw when I looked out the window terrified me, there stood someone who looked almost exactly like me. But their eyes were pitch black, they slowly twisted their head and gave me a smile. I turned around to see if I could ask someone for help but when I did I was met with the same person, I tried to scream for help but nothing came out. Before I knew it I was surrounded by multiple of them, all calling me the one thing I hate the most about myself. Weak.
