She had promised him that the night would be an unforgettable one. He had just nodded, not so sure of what was to transpire to justify her soliciting pledge. At the back of his head was the intention of winning her heart. It remained to be seen whether the envisaged mood was going to live to its billing. Upon her subtle farewell at the road construction site where they had both exhausted their busy day, she had made it crystal clear that their scheduled game was on, but the new message in her gesture was only known between the two of them.

"Jason! please don't forget that we have a pending survey report to work on" she deceptively uttered as she jumped into her Toyota bakkie.

What most of the road construction crew had on their minds was the arrival of the minibus that took them to their residential site, which was situated about 3 km from their current progress spot. It had been a very challenging day owing to the scorching weather. Jilian, who studied civil engineering at Greylands University of Science and Technology and graduated with honors, was lucky to get instant employment as a Deputy Director in the department of roads and transport services. For a lady equipped with goal-getting prowess, it was a matter of time before she became her own boss. After spending just two years in the department and proving her worth as top project administrator, she was summoned to team up with Alex, a more experienced construction artisan, to bid for the construction of a 120 km highway from Manburg to Zonex, under the banner of Alex Road works, a job they executed with the artistry of professionals to warrant recognition and ululations from the generality of observers. That stood as a formidable stepping stone for her career as a construction boss. Given her administrative expertise coupled with conspicuous annexures, success was written all over her upcoming solo projects.

It so happened that after completion of her second joint project with Alex, she decided to register JCC. Her candid merging of construction and consultancy saw her company outwit Alex Road works' bid to land the more lucrative Greylands/Redbury road project. Her company's two-in-one structure was the defining difference of preference in most tenders that she was to be awarded. Through her enterprising entrepreneurship, the government tender board acknowledged her logical vision for convenience to place projects under a single company on the pretext of coherence and coordination of activities. That also augured well for planning and austerity. However, her roller coaster ride as a construction guru was leveled against seductive exploits by the likes of Alex, who felt that she used her sexy body and sugar voice to influence hometown tender decisions. Her dressed-to-kill posture was also looped in, let alone her limitless exuberance.

In all honesty, Jilian was a sexually attractive woman. Having been a cautious sexual player who used contraceptives all along, thoughts of a baby of her own gradually crept into her skull, hence she decided to look at her sex needs not only from a needy perspective but also at maternity levels, so as to make her newly lingering wish for someone to eventually inherit or take her hugely growing business and personal estate in future, should she kick the bucket or resign, a reality. That, therefore, meant that whoever was going to be the candidate for sexual quenching and fatherhood ought to possess the required qualities. It was never easy to satisfy her wild sexual criteria. She never believed in those men with a knack for flaunting, but those who are very effective when given the chance to hit it behind doors. For her, everything ended in the bedroom, but didn't those high-sounding and irresistible pledges she made to them in her quest for sexual intercourse make it all sophisticated? It also remains to be seen if Jason got to manage to stamp his authority as a chosen erotic candidate, or he fell by the wayside as his boss-come secret lover shuffled her cards of romance along the way.
