How Come They're Different?

Vampire babies had certain fundamental differences from earth fairy babies. Ruby's experience living in the same house as infant Flora was leagues apart from the one she had with her son.

She and Ash had come up with appropriate names for both genders and races during the pregnancy. Because she gave birth to a male vampire, they ended up going with the name Vesper, which meant 'evening star' in Latin.

Vesper didn't require any diaper changes because vampires didn't use the bathroom. Their food source was absorbed directly by their bodies with no waste. That was nice but it was also strange feeding him bottles full of imitation blood.
