CHAPTER ONE

Abby! Please report to the I.tech lab immediately ", Abby's Ivc watch boomed aloud, speedily she got up repacking her shiny brown hair into a tight bun as she exited her dorm room impressed with her handwork, she tried contacting her bestie, Victoria on her way but unsuccessfully landed on voicemail, letting out a sigh she withdrew her phone back to her pocket then reached out opening the lab door, in stood her pal Beanie engaged in a conversation with Senior Agent Mike.

"Hey Beanie, Mike", she smiled as she walked in.

"Where's Victoria?", Mike enquired gawking at the young 16 year old agent- in- training.

"Couldn't reach her", she replied taking a seat plundering on what cause of the meeting was.

"What's on?", she questioned.

"This!", Beanie stated tossing her some papers.

"ANOTHER STRIKING MURDER AT GREAT VINICK HOTEL, both victims were found dead with a single shot through their chest, our sources say that it requires a special weapon to do such task and this weapon is no other than the stolen gun from Zinc museum a year ago..."

slowly she dropped the papers,

"serial killing?", she questioned eye brows shot up.

"Possible", Mike replied "Right now no footage has been granted to the agency only pictures were granted."

swirling around, Mike popped up the folder handing them to Abby whose eager hands swept through the pages.

"Nasty! through the chest most have came in contact with his heart", a horrified Abby stated.

"We don't have the opportunity to be at the crime scene and since we are in the shadows our best shot are you guys, we can't afford another murder.", Mike explained.

"What do we do know?", Abby asked.

"We move to L.A", Beanie replied.

"Joke right! LOL!", Abby laughed, stopping as she noticed Beanie's serious look.

"You're serious", she panicked "Isn't this not my break period, I have well...had plans Mike!"

"Apologies Abbygirl but no one has a break knowing lives are at risk", Mike replied with a sympathy that their seven weeks break would be cut short for a while.

"Come on Mike, I mean the rest can handle the case plus I'm kinda new to these things", she pleaded.

"You're ditching us!", Beanie cried alarmed.

" Save your own ass bro", she snarled at him then quickly switched back to her pleading eyes at Mike".

"Unfortunately as a team you all are assigned this case, I'm countingon you guys", Mike started.

"Fine! three weeks that's all", Abby half heartedly agreed.

"Ooh! yes one more thing you leave tomorrow", Mike stated quickly walking out the door.

"Shit!", Abby cursed under her breath then hurried away to get packing, she had just arrived from their last case and boy! now she's off to another one; what a long ride...halfway through her luggage an excited Victoria barged in clearly unaware of the predicament.

"Girly, he asked me out!", she shrieked bouncing around as her golden locks dangled around.

"Vicky like seriously at age seventeen, you snuck out with Dammy, didn't pick your calls and now barge in giggling about", Abby snapped in a harsh tone she didn't mean to use.

"Gracious me, you're not the Abbygirl i know, you alien what have you done to the real bubbly Abby", she snarled almost convinced about the alien consumption.

"Trust me, I'm fine Vicky just disappointed", Abby smiled a little

"I don't know going out with Dammy disappoints you, trust me his a great guy", Vicky sadly replied.

"Ooh no!", Abby repliedastonished"I'm not mad at you, it's just we are leaving for L.A tomorrow"

"Shit!", she exclaimed "What about my date! Where's Beanie, I'm sure this is all a prank that silly boy made up"

An angry Vicky stormed off before Abby could fully explain, Victoria desperately wanted a "surprise, got ya!", look from Beanie but alas! not all wishes come true.

"my d-a-t-e", she stammered.

"Trust me, there's nothing wrong with a face time date", he replied holding back a grin.

"You ass!", she snarled grabbing the file in his outstretched arm and walked away with a loud huff! rolling his eyes, Beanie shut his door and went back to lay on his bed staring at a picture of Abby all day.

Meanwhile, the two girls had gathered their stuff both were analysing their case in a haste to finish their case mission if possible in a day or two but oh no! fate had this case in a long roll hard to unfold and these two did not have a slight idea of how mixed up their adventure will be.....

" Finally! L.A", an excited Vicky exclaimed staring at the breath taking views.

"Luckily, Mike booked us rooms at the same hotel, an all expense paid trip", Beanie stated.

" Isn't Paul on this case too, his our analyst", a worried Abby questioned.

"Mike would send for him, cupcake", Beanie replied with a wink making Abby blush deeply in embarrasment.

" Come on Beanie leave the girl", Vicky grinned looking at her bestie in ewe.

"As you wish", he chuckled deeply as they arrived at their destination , there stood the tower with the golden name shining magnificently, taking one more glance at each other they walked into the hotel just as two couples barged out in a heated conversation dragging along their excessive suitcase.

"This place is haunted! killings! gosh make sure we sue this place", the wife of the first couple cried out tugging her weapon ,her jewelleries dangling.

"Yes honey!", her timid husband replied.

"Edward!", the second couple's wife ranged out "Book a VIP room at a better lounge these people don't know about precautions.

"Already done", her husband stated firmly.

"Okay, what just happened", Abby stated.

The three stood frozen as the watched the scene play out.

"Let's get moving", Beanie reminded.

Woken up from their trance they three continued their journey, it didn't take a while for everyone to settle in, the anxious Beanie had started clue searching while Vicky and Abby were living the life of relaxation.

"Gosh! I could do this everyday", Vicky sighed coming out of the bathroom drying her locks "You should really try this out".

"Maybe later", Abby said her eyes fixed on her laptop.

"Already chatting Paul", Vicky grinned wiggling her brows.

"No!", cried out a red faced Abby "Just composing a note to my parents to make up for not making it for the vacation"

"Have you told them about..."

"Being a detective, gezz..no!", Abby answered cutting short Vicky's question.

"Do you plan on telling them?", Vicky asked putting on her clothes.

"Maybe after this case", Abby replied with uncertainty in her voice.

"Well the quicker we solve this case, the better for us", Vicky stated as she struggled blowdrying her tangled hair, with a loud puff Abby focused back to the work at hand scanning through her emails, just then her cellphone rang she picked up discovering it was Beanie on the line.

"Hey, B.J"

"Abby! I think I found a hint come to the third floor", he stated in a rush before discounting the line.

"What happened?", questioned Vicky coming out of the dressing room.

"Beanie called, we're needed on the third floor"
