7 Orphanage Raid

A week had passed since the "Ghoul Attack" and no more incidents occurred However the unrest was still present. The Mistress' lie was soon seen through as reporters were still discussing the "One Hand Killer" the older children felt disturbed and scared luckily they didn't share the news with the younger children otherwise things would get really bad.

In his room Ren sat staring out the window onto the large field outside. He had calculated everything to the most minute detail, well as much as he could with his intelligence obviously he couldn't control every variable but he believes that his plan should succeed setting him free from his constraints.

A few hours past and several white figures soon encircled the building, with briefcases in hand they stationed themselves just outside it's perimeter.

The Orphanage was built so that a mountain was situated behind It, on the outskirts of town it was the perfect place to throw away human trash. Two figures suddenly paced forward and entered the Orphanage, the others set down their suitcase and prepared.

Ren was currently meditating when he sent out his usual radar ping with his Geass, with its information he suddenly felt a chill down his spine. Apart from the obvious children and carers in his range he saw two grown men walking towards the Mistress' office. Ren had sent an anonymous tip to the CCG he found it was particularly difficult to remain in the shadows when they asked so many question. Ren had simply reported that the Mistress of the orphanage was seen leaving late at night on the night of Hana's murder. As well as the disappearance of children without explanation, Ren thought that this would at most get the attention of some lazy investigator who would snoop around and scare the Mistress into hiding. Yet here there stood two well built men with large briefcases right outside the Mistress' office which she was currently in. This had long past the stage of reconnaissance and was now a full blown confrontation which meant these were definitely not the only Investigators on the property.

'Well I can now definitely boast the fact that I have average intelligence at best. However the plan should work out fine, the problem is if they detect me I could only hope that I get out with most of my limbs.' Ren stood up and constantly sent out his Geass, he had to know where everyone was at all times.

Inside the Mistress' office he now saw that the Men had entered and were conversing with her. He couldn't hear them so he decided to get closer, the Mistress' office was close to Ren's room so he didn't need to move much.

Suddenly the fire alarm went off and Ren held his ears in pain, ghoul senses weren't always helpful It seemed. Ren backed up and saw children leaving their rooms one by one heading toward the field out front, the Mistress was still sat talking to the Doves whilst Ren hid in one of the rooms nearby.

After a few minutes all personal had left the building slowly gathering on the field, when it looked like no one else was coming the hidden Doves suddenly walked on to the grounds. Flashing their badges everyone was getting anxious but with their instructions began leaving the premises.

Now Ren noticed the back up that these two men brought. Outside of this rooms window he counted at least ten more investigators, he couldn't be noticed by them even if they had no way of distinguishing ghouls from human's he couldn't risk it. Then when Ren was observing out the window the room a few meters away crumbled and burst apart as a woman jumped from the second floor to the field, what she saw in front of her made her smile stiffly.

A few minutes ago when the Investigators had just entered the Mistress' office...

"Miss Takahashi we have some questions for you, do you mind?" A tall man a gaunt face with a long silver briefcase draped in a pure white overcoat sat down facing the Mistress.

"Please just call me Yuri. Now I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have Mr..." The Mistress smiled politely at the gaunt man and gave a side eye towards the other who stood behind him; his spiky bright red hair and youthful features made him look extremely troublesome as a person.

"How rude of me I'm Kureo Mado and this is my partner Kasai Himura, now Miss Yuri on to the investigation." Mado looked around the office and then at the Mistress with serious eyes.

"Miss Yuri it has come to our attention that there may be a Ghoul hiding amongst your staff or perhaps even children. Now we have checked the records of each person in this orphanage and there seem to be quite a few anomalies."

"Children that have been adopted usually have parental records of their progress in their new family, yet what I am having trouble with is that half of them don't have these records. But if we look back several years ago they did so....." Mado put several documents on to the desk with the Mistress' signature on them next to them though were documents of families that did not have any children.

The fire alarm then went off which startled the Mistress, However she had to finish talking with the Doves before she could leave, the silence was only overshadowed by the alarm whilst the Investigators and the Mistress stared at each other.

"What my partner is trying to say is that none of the families that have 'adopted' from this orphanage have ever visited this place." The blazing red hair spoke with a grin, they knew full well what this woman was up to.

"This is very strange indeed, the government is severally lacking when it comes to the care of abandoned children. I alone look after their well being and you accuse me of something so heinous?" The Mistress stood up and prepared to leave, they didn't seem to have a warrant so maybe she could get away.

"I'm going to have to stop you right there Miss Yuri, unfortunately an anonymous tip was sent to us saying that you have been acting strangely the past few weeks, although it isn't much with our current leads in the investigation it's enough to put you under arrest for the suspicion of being a Ghoul." Mado stood up and blocked her path his case was already unclipped and was ready to fight at any time.

The Mistress held her hands up and smiled, co operating could let her escape later.

A Kagune of black and purple brilliance was then stabbed into the roof and wall of the office bringing down rubble and creating a small hole in the wall for her to escape. She would be caught dead complying with the orders of doves.

Mado and Himura fell back avoiding the rain of concrete and stone, bursting out the door behind them, the Kagune they witnessed was like a black spear that wrapped around the ghouls arm.

"The A rated ghoul 'Widow', she has been practically unseen since her first appearance a few years ago, well with the forces we have it won't take long to take her down." Mado saw that they couldn't follow her through the rubble so began to run down towards the stairs however he noticed his partner Himura limping so told him to stay behind, he would only get in the way.

Back to the present Ren looked on at the Mistress surrounded by several doves. She had a black and purple Koukaku Kagune and despite its robustness she was utilising it more for attack than for defence.

The door behind Ren was abruptly opened, he had stopped his Geass because it was to much information at once and was to busy looking at Mistress to use it like a radar thus why someone surprised him.

Ren looked into the eyes of the red haired man, he was rather young being in his early twenties but looked powerful in his own right. Ren reflexively took a step back and looked at the bleeding leg the man had.

Himura was surprised as well to find a child still in their room and was about to dismiss it when he saw Ren's eyes. Ren had technically fed enough to last him a month but that didn't mean he wasn't hungry no in fact he was starving and although he didn't lose much strength he felt like he had to eat so when seeing the crimson blood gushing down this man's leg he couldn't help get excited, his own heart and greed betrayed him.

"Another Ghoul!" Himura turned back around the corner and prepared to withdraw his Quinque. Quinque were weapons manufactured from the Kagune of Ghouls and were the only weapons capable of countering them.

Ren was annoyed that he couldn't control his desires but had to act fast before his secret was revealed. He still needed the orphanage as a place to stay incognito, it would be a bit harder to get food but it was better than dying to the bitch Mistress. Then again with the current situation playing out like so there was probably a low chance he could stay.

Ren with a powerful step sped through the door activating his Kagune. Black and Red swords congealed together to make a thin tail that could cut through anything. Whilst blasting through the door he called forth his Asauchi, It would be harder to wield with his small body but it was still an extra piece of weaponry to use.

Himura had withdrawn his Quinque when Ren arrived, it was a diamond shaped shield with a blade sticking out the top of it. Ren knew his first attack would be countered so he pushed off the wall with his Kagune making him fly backwards, utilising this time to study his opponent.

Himura pursued the ghoul as he couldn't let it escape, although they had brought a sizable force with them who knew how many ghouls were hiding in this orphanage, removing at least one from the equation gives the Investigators better odds. What he completely neglected was his injured leg so when he ran after the ghoul he felt terrible pain coursing through his body towards his mind.

Ren now had to press this advantage, perhaps he wouldn't be able to counter this dove normally but with a severe injury to the leg anything was possible. The black and red swords stabbed into the ground with Ren acting as a catapult he launched himself with frightening speed at Himura, with his body twisting in the air he gained immense propulsion drawing his Asauchi he looked like a helicopter about to crash into the dove.

Himura saw this and hoisted his shield up to block this bullet of a ghoul, the blade on the top was even slightly angled to cut the child in half if his aim was off.

Ren smiled as his lips bled, he was almost overwhelmed by the sweet scent of blood and had to inflict some pain on to himself to keep him sane, but this plan to act as a humanoid bullet was definitely not a sane one.

Ren's sword then collided with the Quinque shield, Himura wasn't aware that this child was wielding a Kitana and thought his blocking power was enough to hold the ghoul off. However using the momentum from earlier Ren pushed down on the Katanas handle, breaking his fingers in the process, launching himself over the shield.

Flying at Mach speed Ren's tailing Kagune stiffened and cut horizontally piercing the wall to the left of him, with it as an anchor Ren began to slow down tumbling across the floor as well as leaving several ravines in the wall.

Ren had a large laceration down his left leg, although he managed to get over the shield the blade on top still caught him. With increased healing Ren's wound began closing despite the daunting pain that it brought. Catching his breath he quickly looked back at the dove he just fought, Ren felt blessed encountering some one with little to no mobility so he could use his explosive speed easily. He could only wonder if his attack was successful and if not he wasn't sure he could hold on any longer.
