Episode 2

Zohar watched with sleepy lilac eyes as the children played in the snow. His tanned skin illuminated by the street lamp. He felt a palm gently stroke his hair, causing to feel even more sleepy. He looked up and mustered a tired grin at the sight of his older brother. "Cilio." He didn't get to finish greeting when a steaming pork loaf was stuffed in his mouth. Cilio took his place next to his brother. He pushed back his longer white hair and rubbed his freckled cheeks. Zohar looked at his brother's blue highlights, and wondered when he was going to get his.

He finished his pork loaf and accepted the cup of tear that was given to him. The brothers sat there in comfortable silence. Zohar finished his tea and laid his head down on his brother's lap. A small relaxed smile appeared on his youthful face. The weretribe had just finished celebrating his 20th birthday, celebrating the fact that he had become a full fledged man.

Cilio started stroking his brother's hair, lulling him to sleep. Their large white fur coats and boots keep them warm in the winter nights. Spring was almost among them. A time of difficulty. Cilio looked down at his brother's gentle sleeping face and placed a loving kiss on his forehead before lifting him up, and carrying him back to the village.

He entered their large family tent and placed Zohar gently down. He took off his brother's boots and placed them at the entrance. It was a particularly cold night, so he left his brother's jacket on and placed a blanket over him. Zohar stirred but went back to sleep. Cilio smiled and got up, blowing out all the candles in the tent and making himself comfortable to sleep.

With one final hushed goodnight, Zohar closed his eyes, unaware of the dangers that lurked in the village's shadows.
