The Arrival of Another Malediction

Winter Solstice

The most miserable girl in the whole universe is being born.

A lady, clenching her fist, pushing as the child goes out of her womb. The people feeling anxious outside the room now finally sighs as relief gets into them.

"Another one has come to suffer the world with us." Says the old lady in a wheel chair.

Everyone expresses sorrow as some of them cries and prays that the child will not have the curse.

Everyone goes inside to look at the pitiful baby.

The baby looks like her mother, she is very beautiful, she has natural black hair that has a tint of red, her golden brown eyes can capture your soul, her nose is also in good shape as well as her body. In other words, she is very healthy.

As everyone stares at the baby then came the knights and town folks approaching their mansion.

"They're already at the gates madame." The loyal butler informs them.

"Let us go to the tunnels." They quickly move as the newborn's father orders them to escape the dying mansion.

The madame seeing her beloved mansion dying while shedding tears says, "Adios, mi amada casa."

Goodbye, my beloved home.

There are 15 of them, each has a curse or a malediction.

One can never touch anyone even in the slightest touch because she can kill them in a split second.

Some has disfigured body, some has spikey hair that has poison.

The newly birthed mother, Camille Mordegral has eyes that can hypnotize anyone.

The newborn's father, Alec Mordegral when in rage, it can last for days or weeks. He'll destroy anything or anyone around him.

"So... What will we do next? Where will we live in a world where no one accepts us? Just how?" Asks the sister of Alec, Mordred Mordegral who has hands as her feet and feet as her hands.

"If no one accepts us don't worry, we will accept ourselves since we're all we have." Emilio Mordegral, Mordred's husband says while also watching his grounds burning, but he's not crying because he knows he must be strong for everyone around him.

They leave the heartbreaking scene and goes to a tunnel leading to the forest near the town.

Whilst thinking where they'll go, they see a cave or more like a tunnel for them to spend the night.

"Where will we mark our destination?" Mordred's eldest daughter, Exena mentions as she cannot think of any other place.

"We don't know, maybe we'll live in a secluded area like a mountain perhaps." The madame says with a sad face.

Everyone fell asleep except for Calvin, Mordred's second child. His curse is eyes that can see through anything, even your lies and also your future. This is a curse because everyone that he told they'll die, died and their families held a grudge on him saying that he killed them. Everyone also don't like his eyes since these are scary to look at.

He's still awake because he saw through the cave, there's an enormous gate inside and it makes him curious what's inside of it since he cannot see through.

He is ready to go silently but someone sees him, Creed, Exena and Stephanya who also can't sleep.

"Where are you going?" Stephanya, Mordred's youngest daughter asks with a curious look.

Because of their noise the other five kids, Exena's siblings also wakes up.

"What's going on?" Fredrick says while rubbing his eyes.

"We also don't know. Calvin almost went deeper into the cave without telling us." Creed says lowly, trying not to wake up the elderlies.

"I think there's something deeper inside the cave.", Calvin says with an anxious face.

"What's there?", they ask.

"I still don't know but there's really something in there." Calvin insisted.

"Let's go, bring the torches." The older ones says.

The young Mordegrals go deeper inside the cave with the torches brought from the mansion.

It has been an hour until they reach an enormous gate. A gate made of metal and is very hard to open.

"Where's Creed?" Stephanya says, knowing that Creed's curse is uncontrollable strength. This is not a superpower but a curse, he can't live a normal life since everything he holds suddenly breaks. He can also injure a lot of people.

"I'm... Scared. What if it will break?" Creed says with an anxious face as always.

"No, it will not since it is too enormous and it is very strong I think." Exena says while touching the gate with her gloved hands.

"Ok, I'll try but don't blame me if it will break." Creed says and places his hands on the also enormous door handle, it does not break unlike any other material he has hold on before.

He slowly opens it and daylight suddenly flash from the inside leaving all of them in confusion.

They gasp as the view in front of them was already clearly seen.

Heaven.

Is the only word they can describe it.

A mountain with a waterfall creating a relieving sound calms them down.

They slowly step on the land and as their feet touches the ground they feel safe once in a very long time.

They yearn for a place like this.

A place wherein they can live peacefully.

The smiles on their faces cannot be rub out anymore.

"What's this place and why is it morning in here?" Says the happy Creed as he lay down on the ground.

"I don't know but it is like paradise." Stephanya says as she looks at the surroundings.

"Let's go back and tell elderlies." Says the eldest, Exena.

"We'll wait here." The three suggests.

The others now leaves the paradise to fetch the others.

While happily approaching the others, halfway the tunnel they see the madame with the child running and bleeding from an injury.

"They found us, the others were taken. Now I want you to take care of them as well as her." She gives the newly born to Exena.

"Take them somewhere safe, I'll lead the knights away. and also take this.", A book is given to her.

"Carmilla, that's her name.", the madame says halfway through.

After saying everything and giving Exena a book, the madame runs and distracts the guards while the others runs as fast as they can without knowing a knight seeing and following them to the insides of the cave.
