1 1: A Parting

As dawn breaks upon the day, a couple can be seen rising from their beds. Sorrowful yet grateful for being capable of seeing another break of dawn. Seeing their child lying in a cradle next to them, they somehow could not resist the urge to cry. they soon immersed themselves in the warmth of each other as if shielding from the cruelty of the world.

Today, they would see the sun shining on them for the very last time. not wanting to waste any time, they dressed themselves before setting their sights on their child, their beloved child.

While many were still stirring in their slumber, two figures can be seen walking over to a stream, carrying a basket capable of containing a child. Walking briskly along the stream, their steps were somewhat refined if examined carefully. carefully opening the box an unfurling their hoods, they each kissed the child at his cheeks. warm tears fell on the child.

What would have had touched their hearts as parents only brought them more sorrow. Closing the lid back again, the two wiped their tears and finally let the box flow on the stream.

After the male chanted a few incomprehensible words, the box flowed peacefully on the serene stream as if bringing their sorrows as well. The child, not willing to part ways with his parent began to cry, but only to no avail, the basket did not let any sound wave exit.

Just at that moment, an eye carrying euphoria appeared, seemingly pleased to have had seen its target it had been painstakingly searching for innumerable amount of times. In the hands of the father, a giant bastard sword appeared, while on the mother's hand an elegant rapier appeared. The man with euphoric eyes dashed towards them, and the couple did not idle either. A fight broke out while the child was carried by the ever-flowing stream...
