Monday. A man sipped his coffee confidently and stroked his hair. He heard a powerful knock on the door. As soon as he opened it, the first thing he noticed about the person who was at the door was their height. The figure was at least seven feet tall. The men shook hands and the man at the door began to speak. "I'm here to see the files, sir. I'm here to tell you about him." The man said. The man walked into the house slowly. He looked at a file on his desk. "Manuro Elvis." It read on the front. The man smiled and opened it. Elvis clenched his fist. He slammed his hand on the table and began to shout. "Who do you think you are coming into my house without permission?" The man shushed him. He read through the file and spoke. "I have the powers to defeat him, the man on your book." Elvis watched as the man lifted his arm into the air and lit it up. He spread out the thunder around there room and dragged the other files to him. Elvis' jaw dropped. "My name is Kulas Kurazaki, and I'm here to stop that madman from terrorizing my city." Elvis backed up slowly. He was confused. His mind couldn't comprehend what he was seeing. "My light comes in such a pure form that humans can't possibly understand it…I am the light. Truth is, I am from the Kurazaki bloodline. We are all creatures called Bloodbornes, and we are all equipped with special powers. Our prophecy says that each one of us is a reincarnation of the last, and we are always put into different groups. Force, which are powers that enhance your already humanly abilities, Emission, which allows you to emit a certain substance, control it, and manipulate it in any way, and Bending, which allows you to negate, take, and destroy another's energy. We haven't had a Bender for hundreds of years though, and it is believed that there are many more types of energy usage." Elvis took a seat. He couldn't understand what was happening, but he set his hat and the table and clenched his fist confidently. "This is Doran we're talking about. Lord Doran. He's taken over the city and most of Isreal County as well!" Kulas chuckled. His long brown hair flowed in the wind as he spoke. "Was that door always…open?" Kulas walked toward the door and shut it quietly. "This is the darkest time of night. Doran's guards will be lurking around this forest. He has powers as well, and he has a strong team along with the fact that he is friends with many other clans. Although he may look difficult to beat, his powers come from a different source. His blood. Demon blood." Kulas stretched out his arm and put his hand in Elvis'. He forced energy though Elvis' veins and recoiled. "With this energy I have given to you, you will help me defeat Doran. Now. We must leave." Elvis was confused, just like the moment Kulas walked in, but he didn't care. Kulas marched out of the house and faded into the darkness. Elvis slowly walked toward the door and stepped out. He leaped back into the house when he heard a loud noise on the roof. "One cannot call himself a man until he faces fear with stoicism…" Kulas said from the roof. "Those are the words of Plutarch. He jumped onto the ground gracefully. "If you ever hope to accompany me on my journey, you'll have to become a new man." Elvis shivered violently. He walked out of the house once more and began to walk with Kulas. "The first thing you need to know is that Doran has a very loyal army," Kulas said as they walked through the forest. "They will tear us apart at his word, and he'll make sure to train them for battle. The good thing is, Doran is extremely overconfident, he has never trained a day in his life, and all his moves come from talent. Anyways, the force of his energy is capable of shaking a city itself." They began to talk until the sun rose. They were now in a town ruled by Doran. They stopped at an abandoned home. "Elvis, we will be training here." Kulas said proudly. Elvis kicked a stone and replied. "Why did you pick me, Kulas. Your bloodline is clearly filled with people born with powers, and I am just an ordinary human being. What do I have that may help you in your journey?" Kulas only laughed at this comment. He took Elvis' hat and placed it on the floor. A bright and shining head of hair, all yellow in color. He put on a large smile and flicked Elvis' head. "I've seen how many cases you've solved, Elvis, and I'm impressed. We are different in many ways, but you're intelligence is the most notable difference. You are much smarter than I am, and you're strategizing is much better than mine has ever been. If we want to beat Doran, then we'll have to work together." Kulas shook Elvis' hand and stood up proudly. He got in position and clenched his fists. Elvis felt a rush of joy flow through his body. His life. His meaning. It had all circled into one moment. He couldn't believe what was happening. He punched a large hole in the wall and laughed. He got into stance and finally was prepared to face his fears.
