Putting the last pin on her head, and stepping back to admire her handwork.

"You look so beautiful..!"

Maria gushed.

"Of course, I would look beautiful, it's my wedding day "

Penny replied proudly, with her red fluffy fox ears standing proudly,

She had a little red fur coming from the center of her head and receding into her hair, which was a massive curl of red soft mane.

She had always had people licking her foot since she was very little, but she loved the feeling.

Her parents had both passed away very recently at an explosion in a laboratory they had visited that very day for a presentation, which had gone wrong, killing fifty-seven people in it including her parents.

Penny didn't even miss them, the only thing they had been good for to her was providing her with money.. lots and lots of money.

When she heard the news she rushed to the hospital, as that is what a filial daughter is supposed to do. But they had been dead, she didn't see any close relations or family members coming in, the only person who had come was a fifty-year-old Serpanide, she was a human with a few snake features mixed in,

She had introduced herself as her deceased parents' secretary.

She had just kept trying to console Penny that day, and it had become very annoying to her.

She still remembered that day like it was yesterday, she had been riled up by the woman's chants of how good her parents had been when they had been alive.

I had even stopped trying to squeeze non-existent tears from my eyes, I just wonder how my parents were able to fool her that there was anything but good, that was just so ridiculous.

At that moment the door opened and some nurses moved toward the bed and properly covered the bodies.

Before pushing them out of the ward, Penny could care less, she didn't even mind what they did with the bodies.

She couldn't wait to enjoy the wealth they had left behind.

But her whole plans had been brought to a halt when her parent's lawyer had reached out to her,

Her whole world was thrown into disarray when she found out that her parents had willed their whole wealth to a stinky orphanage, and had left just a ten thousand dollars worth of cottage to her.

She had cursed them with all the curse words she had known, and those which had no meaning in human terms.

Penny had wanted to go and dig up their graves and strangle them just to kill them one more time…

"How could they do this to their only child….."

Penny had been a shadow of herself until a scientist who she had seen at some functions she had attended with her parents, had approached her some few months back.

He had professed his undying love to her, she had been unmoved, and she would not have even wasted her time listening to a man like him talk.

But she was desperate, she didn't want to know poverty, God knew she was too good for the man.

But on getting home and doing her research, she found out the scientist man had some really cool money to his name, and now that she thought about it, he didn't look so bad.

It also stated that he would be opening his own company in a few weeks.

Well, after weighing the pros and cons, she had decided to give in to his love talk and started showing interest in him too.

He had been really sweet to her, buying her things, and showering her with expensive accessories. All in all, he had been so loving, and always tried his best to do what she asked so she could give him a pat on the head.

Just last week he had sent her a package,

And on opening it she had found in it the latest emerald gem that had just been out in the market by Jewels & Co.

, which she had only heard about from her close friend just that day, and so many noble ladies had been gushing about, and wanting to have it but it was just so expensive to buy on a whim.

So she had been so excited to get it, 'she must not let this man go'

She had told herself that day.

Carefully packing the emerald gem back in its casing for safekeeping, she found a small red card with a message on it.

Picking it up and reading it.

Dear penny,

Hope you love your gift,

It symbolizes just how expensive and precious you are to me.

Join me for dinner at my villa tonight by eight, a car would be waiting for you, till then...

Tossing the letter to the side,

"What a pathetic letter to write to someone you want to woo.."

Penny had laughed to the extent that tears were seeping out from the corners of her eyes.

"If not for my predicament right now…people like you are only good to kiss my shoes, but …those good-for-nothing parents of mine..just…just ..Arhh..!"

Penny screamed out in frustration, then schooling her features back, she picked up her pink handkerchief, which had been lying on the table,

And dabbed underneath her eyes the escaped tears.

She had done her best to look good that evening, adorning the best clothes she had, a teardrop pure white crystal on her fair neck, and her gown,

which was a sunflower yellow fitted knee-length gown, with a slit running up and above her mid-thighs, and the back of the dress was bare, leaving her whole milky white skin bare.

The front of the dress had small diamonds scattered all over the front which glittered when kissed by sunlight.

The bodice was cut so low that half her breasts was in full view, and the gown was so tight that it looked like one would not be able to breathe in it.

She finished her look with crystal six-inches heels.
