7 THE WALKING CORPSES

Rumors started to spread around town about sightings of mysterious creatures and supernatural occurrences. Due to the previous cases of missing, killed, and frozen people. Followed by stolen corpses and animals being slaughtered. Some local villagers started to hang garlic on their windows while some even sprinkled rock salt around their houses. People do these to somehow protect themselves from the supernatural, but they don't have a single Idea on what's about to happen on the 3rd full moon. As a result lesser people goes out during night time which played well on Kai's advantage since its going to be easier for him to move around town to gather more information about the other candidates.

Meanwhile Kai started to do some workout during the day to increase his physical strength since his ability focuses on physical strength, stealth and agility. He noticed that the stronger and the more accustomed he becomes with his power, the bigger the wolf symbol on his wrist gets. He doesn't know if this observation is accurate yet this somehow gives him an idea that he's improving in terms of controlling his abilities. Aside from strengthening his muscles he also tries to expand his sense of smell and aura detection by monitoring the movements of the creatures outside his territory. He rested for a few hours after he is done working out, and decided to continue the search for the other contenders of the blood war.

He decided to be on his human form this evening, and also made sure that his symbol is well hidden by the jacket he's wearing. He also decided to steal a pair of shoes before blending in with the town people. Due to his training He can now run at the speed of 60 Kilometers per hour on his human form which made traveling to town a lot easier. He arrived at Tartarus's welcome sign after running for a few minutes and. He took a deep breath while silently hoping that He doesn't mess up and transform accidentally since the moon is shining bright.

Kai jumped on top of a tree to find a place where he can get a pair of shoes. As he looked around, he saw two small white things beside a bush near his location. He took a closer look and saw that its a pair of feet! He hurried to its location thinking that it may be another victim of one of his opponents. As he slowly approaches, he smelled that the man reeks of alcohol and he's its still alive. He found the man's ID and picked it up to find where he can drop him off. He found out that the man is a medical intern in a nearby hospital. He picked up the man's pair of shoes and luckily it fit. He picked the guy up and placed him on his right shoulder like a sack of rice. "I know your drunk and all but I just want to say that I'm sorry dude because I'm gonna take your shoes, consider it a payment for what I'm about to do" he said on a lowly tone. The man moved and shouted loudly "Oh!" Kai was startled but then all of a sudden the man added "Sweet child of mine" then he slept again. Kai laughed then he said "do you wanna kill me via heart attack? Do that again and I'm gonna dissect you" he said with a smile.

They arrived quickly to the hospital by jumping through the roof of different establishments. He lay the man down in the hospital's parking lot and left quietly to begin his search. After taking a few steps outside the hospital gate he smelled something foul, more like rotten. He looked back and saw an army of corpses marching out of the hospital! It looked like something you can only see on a walking dead episode or something of that sort. He hid himself inside a nearby guard house, and peaked slowly to check what's happening outside. He thought about the drunk guy he picked up so he turned to his direction. The corpses didn't do anything to the man and it appears that they are only marching outside the hospital on someone's command. Kai decided to follow the walking corpses since the only person who could have done it has to be another candidate.
