10 She'll be my wife

Lin Rehan did not hear an answer. Instead Lee Shira only nodded in response that made her chuckle. "I can't blame your grandfather. You never had a woman."

"I do not need some useless woman" Lee Shira immediately answered in a cold voice. He had no plans of touching just any woman, but his grandfather kept on pestering him to get married.

"You are now thirty-two and you should have a family by now. Unless you like men." Lin Rehan said jokingly while she studied her son's face which immediately turned dark.

There was a sudden drop of temperature that immediately covered the whole room. Before Lin Rehan can say anything, there was a knock at the door. "Come in."

Aryen who brought a tray of tea, opened the door after being granted permission to step in. Upon entering, she suddenly felt a terrible chill that made her body shiver.

Wearing an off-shouldered red dress that showcase her perfect curves and exquisite legs, Aryen suddenly felt nervous for unknown reason. She is not used to wearing such clothes before a man.

Nonetheless, she tried to ignore the unpleasant atmosphere and started to approach the sofa and silently placed the tea cups on the mini table.

Aryen didn't expect to feel a pair of fierce eyes scan her carefully but she tried to ignore it and bowed down as a sign of respect before she turned to leave.

Surprisingly, when Aryen turned around to leave, a strong arm suddenly hooked her thin waist and pulled her towards him. Making her sit on his lap.

Lin Rehan: "..."

"Ahh!" Aryen screamed in shock. Her heart began pounding when her cheek bumped into a solid chest. She could tell that his chest was firm toned despite the clothes on his body.

Aryen eyes widened and immediately tries to struggle from his arms which only tightened. She raised her head and the first thing she saw was a pair of fierce looking eyes behind a pair of clear eye glasses.

Aryen: "..."

Her body suddenly stiffened, their faces were a mere inch away from each other and she can feel his sweet, warm breath on her face. He only needed to lower his head a fraction and their lips would touch.

Before Aryen can speak, Lee Shira looked back at his mother who had a stunned expression on her face. He coldly declared, "She'll be my wife." His demeanor saying: he won't take 'no' for an answer.

Lin Rehan: "!!!"

Aryen: "!!!" What?!

She felt like a lightning bolt hit her heart. Her body instantly froze upon hearing Lee Shira's claim. Her heart almost stopped beating while feeling his arms around her waist.

As for Lin Rehan, her feelings are no different from that of Aryen's after she had heard her son's words. She looked at Lee Shira who still had on a blank face.

There was a sudden silence in the room until Lin Rehan recovered from her shock and coughed slightly to clear her throat to speak.

"That's good, she needs resources for her revenge while you need someone to pretend to be your wife. You two can help each other." Lin Rehan said after calming her heart. Her words made Aryen return to her senses.

Aryen: "!!!" Hold on! Not with him!

Trepidation began to spread on Aryen's heart. She was well-aware about what people were saying about Lee Shira being a fierce and dangerous man in the business industry.

However, before she can speak, Lee Shira claimed without giving Aryen any chance to object, "She can use all my wealth, but she will be my real wife"

Lin Rehan: "..."

Aryen: "..."

After he said those his words, Lee Shira swiftly gathered Aryen in his arms, stood up, and took her away out of his mother's office. All these happened so fast that Aryen did not have a chance to struggle. Also leaving Lin Rehan dumbfounded.

As for Aryen, she was completely stunned that she can't struggle on Lee Shira's arms. 'I thought I can fight, why can't I move!' She thought.

Aryen tried to struggle but Lee Shira stopped his steps and his fierce eyes moved to looked down at Aryen who was trying to get down from his arms.

Aryen: "..."

Feeling his warning glare looking down at her, Aryen's body stiffened. She still wanted to struggle, but she can feel a dangerous aura coming from Lee Shira. She tried to reason in a trembling voice. "I.. I can.. Walk.."
