19 19. Goodbye and I am sorry

Chao Shen froze on the spot. So she knew who the blood princess is?

"Go and take her away, I will go after her," he ordered. He turned around and go the direction where Lihua went. It took him a few minutes to find what he was looking for. Near the edge of a cliff stood the person he wanted to see in the whole world. He saw a few monks advancing towards her.

"Where did you bring our little brother?"

Lihua did not answer them. She remained standing there looking at them with cold eyes. Then, she saw him approached. She saw his shocked face when he saw her. The monks present noticed that she is looking somewhere else so they turned around and saw the young master who visited them.

"Young master, please go back to the manor. We will take care of this situation. Don't worry, you will be safe." said the monk nearest to Chao Shen. Chao Shen ignored him, he just looked at the person in front of them. As he moved closer, their eyes never losing each other's gaze.

Why? Chao Shen silently asked her through his eyes.

I am sorry... Lihua wanted to say these words to him. But speaking right now can endanger his cover.

The monks started to move closer to her. Even though they don't have any weapon at hand, Chao Shen sensed that they are good in martial arts.

When Lihua remained quiet, one of the monks suddenly moved forward and attacked her. She was quick to dodge the attack. But then, all of the monks present started attacking her. Chao Shen panicked. He did not know what to do. He never expected this to happen. He moved forward to act as if he is helping the monks. This way, he can get closer to her. The fight between them is astonishing. If someone is watching, it is sure that he will be amazed by how good the kidnapper was. And then, it happened, Chao Shen finally closed in and started giving him strong punches. As the two battled, the monks remained where they are. They are watching as the two exchange punches and kicks.

The two of them felt like they returned back in time when they had their first fight. Both of them are giving their best. Even Chao Shen is surprised by Lihua's strength.

And because both of them are into the fight, they did not notice that they are near the edge of the cliff now. Chao Shen looked at his back and how high they are right now. He looked at Lihua again. He is trying to figure out her plans on how they can get out of this situation. He is sure now that the monks present are not just ordinary monks. He is sure that they cannot go out of this mess that easy.

Chao Shen was taken aback when Lihua suddenly charged towards him. He moved back and felt his left foot did not touch the ground. He suddenly lost his balance and about to fall back when a hand grabbed his arms. He looked at her, feeling as if time is in slow motion. He smiled when he saw that she is saving him but it turned into horror when she suddenly switched their body position. Since it is Lihua who is holding his arm, he was not quick enough to grab her hand when they switched places and she let go of his arm. He saw her body as it falls down the cliff. He was about to jump after her when the monks stopped him. He could not believe what just happened. He let out a loud cry as he tried to let himself free from the monks hold on him. No matter what the monks are telling him he could not hear them. All he wanted to do is go after her. To save her. Chao Shen was only restrained when a monk hit him on his back.

Chao Shen woke up inside his bedchamber. He was confused for some time. He felt there is something is forgetting. He felt a great pain in his body. He looked around his bedchamber. He slowly stood up. The moment he was about to stand, the door to his bedchamber opened and a maidservant entered.

"Lihua, what happened to me?" he asked holding on his head.

The maidservant froze on the spot. Chao Shen looked at her confused.

"What's wrong?"

The maidservant remained quiet. Then, Hui entered the bedchamber. His face is filled with worry.

"Young master, you are awake."

Chao Shen looked at him confused.

"What happened to me? And why Lihua is just standing there?" he said angrily. His head is hurting so badly.

Hui stood there quietly. He is afraid to answer his young master's question. When Chao Shen noticed this, he raised his voice so loud everyone who hears it knows that the first young master is furious.

"Answering to young master..." he looked at the maidservant and motioned her to go outside.

"Why are you asking Lihua to go out?"

Hui looked at his young master with worry and pity.

"Young master, she is not Lihua"

"What? Why? Did she went out again without informing me?"

Hui bit his lower lip before answering him.

"Young master, Lihua is no longer here..."

"What do you mean no longer here?" Chao Shen looked at Hui nervously. He felt something happening inside of him. He knew that he is forgetting something. And Hui is not helping him at all.

"Tell me, what do you mean?!!!"

Hui suddenly kneeled down in front of him, "Please forgive me, young master, I failed to protect Lihua."

Chao Shen suddenly fell down on his bed. His head is so painful he is holding it with both his hands. Hui, seeing his master in great pain, stood up immediately and look for the doctor. Alone in his room, the event in the Holy Mountain that night came flooding his head. Then, a loud cry of agony and despair was heard in the whole Prime Minister Mansion.
