3 Friend or Foe

Its been a while since i been here. The place where it all begins. Seeing the moon shines so bright reminds me of the event that took away everything from me. Even the sounds of the crickets become so familiar.

This new house is a bit modern for my taste. Flatscreen tv, Airconditioners, and a 24/7 cameras all around the perimeter, butI'm pretty sure they are fake, knowing who installed them. I explored the house carefully and silently to not disturb the sleeping people. I undid a series of door lock to get outside to reach the patio.

"I dont think its a good idea to get out yet"

A friendly small squeaky voice came out of my head. Right in front of my eyes, a glimmer of light shines the surrounding area.

"Took you a while to wake up Alab"

Alab is my companion since the event. We been hiding for countless of years and shes the only one i can talk to most of the times.

"So is it true Malak?, are they gone? Alab is finally safe?"

Alab hover from left to right out of excitement.

"I only know what you know Alab, and right now I need to talk to Kulas"

Alab light shines brighter as she flew right in front of me.

"you know it's dangerous untill we have proof that they are gone, Alab wont allow this! Besides, we dont know where Kulas is"

Alab light dims whenever she's scared or thinking too hard. All this years and she still think of my safety. I know she is right, but years of waiting makes all my muscle shouts in excitement.

"Kulas said he lives near the bridge, I guess youre not paying attention?"

Alab light turns red.

"Alab has no time to eavesdrop.. and if you leave, you left me no choice but to wake him up"
