2 Chapter two

So,uh, well, does that mean we can, like, I don't know... go inside?"I awkwardly pointed behind me at the house. The man, that had now put his long brown hair into a small bun, puffed his cheeks letting outsome air in annoyance as he hang up his phone. Turns out his fellow warriors got lost on their way to my house and they doubted they could avoid the sun.

The man gave me a look, I gave him an awkward tight lipped smile.

"I'm tired, and cold and very sweaty. So..." I pointed at the housebehind me before wrapping my hands around me to emphasize. I wasn't lying but I was being a bit exagerating, well, serves him right.

Slowly the man gave in and I smiled, making my way to the door

"I'm Cheryl, by the way" I informed him while opening the door.

"I know" he cleared his throat, and added "I'm Mason"

I closed the door behind me before turning around to look at Mason who was standing awkwardly in the hallway, looking around. He was tapping his right foot and hitting the back of his left hand with his middle left finger. Even I was getting anxious by his stance.

I cleared my throat getting his attention.

"Want some blood?"

I extended my arm causing his eyes to fall on my wrist in shock. I gestured at the kitchen "There is some in the fridge. Help yourself, I'm going to take a bath "

"You are going to take a bath, now?"

"What? Just because I'm about to be kidnapped and taken away from my family which you hid and won't reveal their location, that's a good excuse to ignore my personal hygiene? "

He looked at the side in thought "Yeah...."

"Well, its not" I insisted disappearing in my room before reappearing with a towel and some clothes and making my way to the bathroom. I paused at the door, turning around and giving him a warning look "You better not break anything "

After he nodded, in his face a clear look of confusion as he tried to process my desire to have a bath at this particular moment, I closed the door.

Letting the water run and murmuring WAP, I gently let my clothes down. Looking myself in the mirror I brought my white hair in a high ponytail. I gave my reflection a smile before dashing towards the bathroom window and soundlessly opening it up, silently praying to our lord and savior Jesus.

Thankfully, no sounds were made. Climbing out of the bathroom window I remembered my mom, who had taken the safety off of it a couple of days back.

"Going somewhere? "

I screamed at the sudden voice that almost gave me a heart attack as I was hanging from the window. Looking down I found a dark skinned guy that I hadn't formally met, yet the voice belonged to the asshole that spoke to me through the closed door.

ABORT MISSION, ABORT MISSION!!

"I was just checking if you learned from your mistakes?" I tried pulling myself up with a grunt.

"Hear that, Elijah? She is such a sweetheart helping us be better guards" he said to the other dark skinned guy with the piercing green eyes who just smiled

I had to refrain from jumping off the window and land on their faces with my feet.

"Yes, I'm quite amazing. Thank you "

Lots of mistakes were made that day. Not entirely my own, but some of them my own, yeah. These mistakes were why I was now sitting in my mom's s armchair trying to focus on FRIENDS while trying to ignore the four glaring men who had crossed their arms in my direction.

I patted my wet hair with a towel (yes, I took a bath) awkwardly. I usually loved attention, but not this kind.

"Okay, fine." I groaned throwing my head at the back of the arm chair.

"Sorry, what?" Asked the man that I had now learned was Elijah, who was giving me the mom eyes.

"I'm sorry I lied, Mason. I told you I wouldn't escape when I knew I would"

Elijah smiled, unfolding his arms "Now that wasn't so hard, was it?"

"I died on the inside" I pouted.

"Well.." Said the asshole unfolding his hands "Now that we solved that, which for some reason you thought was necassary-"

"It was rude and she needed to apologize" insisted Elijah calmly

"Mason shouldn't have believed her in the first place" he added with a scowl

"This is gonna be fun" whispered a guy with short blonde hair looking at me and Mason. As the other two continued to argue we followed their back and forth intensely till it became tiring but they continued as the rest of us - me, Mason and the blonde whose name turned out to be Oliver- decided to seat down and enjoy a movie.

I decided that through the movie I would practice psychological warfare, so I strategically chose Twilight ,New Moon, to make matters worse.

"How did she cut her finger trying to open a present?" Mason asked the real question. Oliver and I just shrugged as we continued stuffing out mouths with popcorn, shamelessly hooked on the movie. By the end of the movie Elijah and James -yes, the asshole had an asshole name, woah-, were still arguing but by now no one was sure about what

"And let me tell you, that thing-"

James gasped "We never talk about the thing"

"What's the thing?"

"Your guess is as good as ours"

"I bet they did the nasty and act innocent now"

Mason I looked at Oliver for a few seconds before nodding "Makes sense"

"We didn't" James paused, taking a deep breath "This is stupid. We have to take the brat-"

"Hey!"

"- back. We are already late, since she decided to escape instead of acting like a good protagonist and staying where she was. And not to mention you killed Adam"

"Was he your boyfriend?"

"No, but it was a lot of trouble cleaning up your mess."

"Oopsie" I couldn't bite back the huge smile
