12 Chapter Twelve

Banging noises could be heard inside the pink room, echoing through the pastel pink walls. Cheryl was thankful for the fact that her room was sound proof as she took the pop corn off the microwave (yes, her room had a microwave along with some other weird stuff, get over it). Pouring it into a blue bowl, she grabbed her hot cocoa and made her way to seat on her bed.

With her laptop, her popcorn and hot cocoa she was ready to go.

Seatting around a table in the library three of the four guards where trying to concentrate on the matter at hand but James tapping the dark wood of the table was making it very difficult and it had honestly starting to get on their nerves.

"What if she is preparing to blow the castle down?"

"With what could she do that?"

"Bombs?" he suggested calmly before his eyes grew wide and he jumped up, his hand inf front of his mouth with a gasp. His companions looked at him wide eyed with shock "She has killed the king."

The three of them rolled their eyes but the man continued "I'm telling you. That kid is evil and twisted and the worst kind of-"

Cheryl's purple eyes where stuck on the screen, not wanting to miss the murder of the character, clearly taking in by the blood and gore. She struggled a bit before finding the cocoa she had on her night stand and took a sip making a happy sound.

"-And that's why she is a demon in the form of a kid"

James finally finished his presentation, by the end of it both Oliver and Mason where sucked in by his words while Elijah was just regretting every desicion he has ever taken concering the man, but he had to give it to him , he had a way with his words.

Ali on the other hand was always agreeing on the albino's evilness, from their spot behind the projector James had ordered them to take out so he can amplify his point through the presantation.

Oliver and Mason clapped encouragingly, the blonde even standing up for the morale of things "Bravo. Amazing."

"Fantastic" Mason added clapping even faster.

"But," Oliver smiled "don't you think that was a bit much?"

"Yeah, I mean, she is barely five feet how could she do all that?"

"James give it a rest already"

The three shot at him with no guilt not paying attention at the fact that James had a betrayed expression on his face. Suprisingly it was Ali who came in for the rescue. Running next to James who was at a loss of words, they were quick to defend him and the girls evilness

"The idiot is right-"

"Oi"

"- the girl is evil. Haven't you seen that darkness bubling under neath the surface?" Oliver and Mason leaned forward, once again very interested on the matter and Ali's story telling skills where famed so they were quite excited about what was to follow.

Elijah, however, having had enough decided to put an end to this nuisance so they can get back to work, they still needed to solve their bussiness and it wouldn't be long till Cheryl had to be fed. Making something for her while also having in mind ways to keep her healthy and well fed had been taking quite a bit of his time lately.

"Enough"

Ali, who had opened their arms ready for a great performance, glared at him "How dare you? Do you have any idea how many people paid to see one of my perfomances when I was human?"

Elijah returned the glare "Yeah, I know. You basically robbed the people, you weren't even that good"

Now that was a hit below the waist and the pinkenete was both offended and angry, and they did not bother hiding it. "Wanna fucking die? I was the best there was. My performances where great! Nobody ever had anything bad to say about them."

"Wasn't there that one critic..." Mason mumbled, trailigh off as he tried to remember the name. Oliver jumped realizing what his friend was talking about.

"Yeah, what was his name?"

"Didn't it start with a K?" James added, tapping his chin also in thought.

"Enough!" Ali's voice echoed through the hallways, making the three jump out of their thoughts in fear of the angry voice. The short vampire opened their mouth to say something yet it appeared they decided against it and instead stormed off dissapearing somwhere inside the library.

Feeling kinda guilty Mason said "Should we go after them?"

"Nah, this library is literally a maze, the only who knows their way around are the librarians"

"Cheryl did too" Oliver pointed out furrowing his eyebrows in confusion making the rest also look confused as they thought about how easily Cheryl had appeared to have found her way around the library. After a couple of seconds they all shaked their heads and Mason even said

"She got lucky"

Elijah walked inside the girls room with a tray and a blood bag in his hand only to make an "Ah" sound when his eyes trailed the room to find no sign of the girls white hair.

Rubbing his forhead he cursed "Does she ever take a day off?". Setting the tray and the blood bag on the bed he took in the state of her bed. Her laptop was still open, an empty cup on the nighstand and a bowl on her pillow. Leaning over he turned the laptop so he can check the screen. While his sea blue eyes scanned the screen he failed to notice the deadly pale hand sneaking out of the bed, getting closer to his ankle.

Yet when his own hand shot out to grab the pale wrist a high pitched scream came out of the girl hiding under the bed. Soon the now giggling girl came out of under the bed, her purple eyes finding the dark skinned man's. "How did you do that?" she giggled as he helped her up

"You are not very good at not leaving traces behind"

"Yeah, I guess" she said taking a seat on the bed, finally noticing the food. At the sight of the salmon next to the asparagus she squeeled in delight, digging in.

"You like asparagus?" Elijah asked, and even if the hybrid did not notice, there was a hint of dissapointment. She just nodded in response, ignoring Elijah's confused gaze which followed her while he was making his way out of the room.

"I'll be back to check on you later, yeah?"

"Mhm"

Lasting a last confused gaze at her before shaking his head he closed the door behind him.

Later that night he was on his way to check on the girl with James hot in his trail. Opening the door the two looked at the girl who was fast asleep under the covers with the lights turned off.

"That's new" the long haired man mumbled but thought nothing of it and closed the door.

"By the way, did you notice that the attacks started when the spawn got here?" James asked.

Elijah, who had of course noticed like just like the other two, nodded before they resumed walking and continued their conversation.

Cheryl's eyes snapped open, and she quickly sat up her eyes fixed on the door with a glare and a scowl. Clicking her tongue she shook her head, ruffling her hair as she looked forward.

"So, that's how it's gonna be, " she titled her head to the right her teeth pulling on her tongue pierching lightly "huh?"
