2 CHAPTER 2

"Jeez what in the world happened here? Boys if this is one of your pranks, I swear you're gonna get it!" Bree yelled out with a frightened tone. She began to walk around to find the boys. She looked all over but they were just nowhere to be found. Bree finally realised that the boys have been abducted and she had a clear idea of who might have done it. It had to be the unknown caller from before. Who else could have known Bree was next? It was him!

As Bree was about to head to the phone to call the cops, she received a call from the same unknown caller. She hesitated to answer at first but soon enough the realization that her brothers' life might be in danger hit her.

"Hello? Who is this? How do you know my name? What have you done with my brothers? Is anyone there?!!!!" Bree grew impatient waiting for an answer.

"Patience kid. Honestly, did your parents teach you anything good? From what I see, they couldn't even stick long enough for you to figure out that patience is the key of getting what you desire. No wonder they had to leave you behind with them!" the man exclaimed with a menacing voice.

"That's it! I am calling the cops!" she almost ended the call when the man started laughing sinisterly.

"You really don't get it, do you? You want your brothers to be safe? You might want to reconsider that silly thought of yours, kid! Now, you do as I say and the kids live. I'll bring them back without laying a single finger on them. If you proceed with calling the cops, then you leave me no choice but to feed them to the hounds! You in or out?" the man sounded serious.

"How do I know this isn't a hoax call? I want to hear it from the boys. At least let them tell me they are fine with their own voices, please!" Bree started letting waterfalls out of her eyes. She feared something like this might happen.

"Bree!!!!!!!!!" she heard the sweet voices she missed in chorus, calling out her name. "Bree, don't worry about us. We're fine. This man seems nice. He even bought us candy and took us to the arcade. We had loads of fun!"

"What have I told you boys about strangers? Have I not told you to stay away from them? When are you boys going to learn to listen" cried Bree.

"Was that enough proof for you, kid? Now, listen up! I will call you every day and tell you what to do. Another day, another task. It's very simple actually. All you have to do is have your black leather jacket and those new boots you bought that day on you all the time. You might never know when I might call. However, you must remember to never tell anyone about this conversation. Ever!" the man listed assuming she accepted.

"A-alright-t I guess. Quick question. How do know I bought those boots? How long have you been stalking me anyway?" Bree shot a few questions to narrow out who might be behind the abduction. She thought if she knew the exact time period that he started following her, she could rephrase her steps and figure it out herself. She was stunned that he disconnected the call right away. He might have figured out that she was on to him.

*time skip- Next morning*

Bree woke up earlier than usual. She had totally forgotten about the boys being abducted the night before. She even prepared breakfast for the three of them as she always does. She has never been away from them for longer than her working hours.

"Boys! Come get your breakfast before it becomes cold! It's pancake da-" Bree stopped. She shed a few tears recalling what had happened the night before. She still couldn't sink in the fact that the boys were not at home. She ended up eating all those pancakes all by herself.

It was a beautiful Sunday morning. Bree thought of visiting the Art Gallery since it was her day off. She was making a reservation at a restaurant nearby the galley when she heard her phone buzzing. She ran all the way to her room to grab her "outfit" that the man asked her to prepare. She assumed he was the one calling. As soon as she got back to her phone, she realised it was not who she expected. It was her best friend. She tried calling back but she didn't pick up. Bree didn't think much of it and just let it slide.

It was around two in the evening. Bree was heading to the gallery when her phone rang. Lucky for her she brought the clothes with her. She thought he was going to make her rob a bank. Different day, different bank. Unfortunately, what he had in mind was far worse. Bree walked into an empty alley to make sure no one overhears her conversation. She didn't have a clue on what he's up to so she had to keep it confidential. She feared someone might eavesdrop it and think of her as an assassin of some sort.

"It's Bree. What do you have planned for the day, Mr. K?" she said in a very bold and relaxed manner.

"Someone seems happy! So, you're not at all frightened of your first task? Maybe I should tell you what I had in mind for your probation task? Do you want to know kid? Well, like it or not I'll let you to it. See, all I need you to do for today is take out the Art Gallery owner. Simple, right?" the man let out a little chuckle. "What is the Mr. K for anyway?" he sounded serious.

"Well I didn't really get your name, so I gave you one. K for kidnapper. Ring a bell? By the way, take out is short for date, right?" Bree was laughing nervously.
