CHAPTER:2 Under Cover
I waked into my bedroom and went to the washroom. As I showered I decided that it has been sometime I have gone out in the public undercover. Being the CEO might provide the luxury but it definitely stole the peace of your mind and privacy. I walked out of the shower and went towards the mirror .I changed in casual clothes and grabbed a blonde wig. I wore a pair of black rimmed glasses and put them on. I opened my makeup kit and grimaced. I barely used that stuff. I darkened my complexion a bit, and grabbed a beanie to cover my head.. I switched off my phone to avoid any disturbances. And got out from the back door .After walking for a couple of minutes I came across the coffee shop I usually went to. I ordered a black coffee with one shot of sugar. The place wasn't crowded and the surroundings gave a homey feel, something that I craved. I looked around and saw a family of four laughing at a joke their son cracked, and at the side two lovebirds bickering about something. To say the least it felt good to be normal, away from those flashy objects and reporters screaming for a lick of something about your private life.. The smell of baked goodies and coffee hit my nose and I sighed, damn the morning was going great .The waitress walked up to me and gave me a polite smile after keeping the cup of coffee on my table. I gave her the money and took a gulp from my cup. I switched on my phone to listen to songs and that was when I saw the time. Damn it has been two hours since I've been here .And to top it off I had 78 missed calls from my secretary Eleanor and 20 missed calls from the company number. There were also 10 voice messages. Damn I've been gone for 2 hours and god knows in what shit I have fallen. I played her voice message. "Ms. Black, please pick up the phone it is urgent."
I played the second one." Ms. Black" the board members had scheduled a meeting please pick up the call its really urgent".
I furrowed my brows …Which meeting had been scheduled on such a short notice and that too without my saying." I played another one.. "Amelia damn it please pick up the damn phone its really urgent" .Now she was really serious, coz she rarely used my name when she talked.
"Amelia the board members had scheduled a meeting regarding some complaints against our company .That wench Richard is again plotting something against us. The meeting starts at 9. God knows where the hell are you? but please as the CEO OF THE COMPANY YOUR PRESENCE IS DEMANDED .According to what I have heard, Richard is bringing some CEO Of the Williams corporation. Shit I have to get going please call me ASAP.I have texted u the other details regarding the meeting".
Damn! I am away for two hours and something has to happen. I checked the time and it was 8:30 already! Damn it!!! I am late. I grabbed my cup of coffee and walked out of the the café .I checked the details Eleanor had sent me until I crashed into something hard. I muttered a sorry and just as I was about to walk away, a strong hand coiled around my arm and I was pulled back. Damn it I was already late, So I looked up to glare at the stranger who already was fixing a glare of his own on me. But damn his eyes were like dark blue pools with specks of green and they looked so damn familiar like I have seen them before somewhere. A gruff voice pulled me out of my trance.
"You spilt coffee on me" he said.
"I already apologized for that didn't I?
"Your sorry will not fix the mess you have created "he said gesturing to his shoes
"So what do you want me to do? Beg for your forgiveness" I scoffed
He glared at me and demanded "clean it".
"Excuse me mister I don't know who the hell you think you are but listen to carefully .I am not going to clean your shoes" if you would have been paying some attention we would not have crashed into each other.."
"Let the poor girl go Dan." a man who had been alongside him said.
The jerk didn't seem phased by his opinion and said "Listen woman mind your tongue or it wouldn't take me a second to snap your life in two halves. I can ruin you in a flick of a second, so u better clean up the mess you have created. Now I was officially pissed …how dare he!! before I could say anything the man standing behind the jerk said after looking at me "hey sweetie maybe you could repay us in another way. Wanna come back to my apartment" he gave me a smirk ugh! it was enough! I looked up at the man with the blue eyes and said
"listen to this you asshole, your dick is supposed to be a part of your body not your personality and I don't give a rats ass about your so called status for all I care u could go fuck yourself! saying that I turned to the other man.. " What u were talking about mister? services right? ..you see I did take a lot of self-defence classes and I am a black belt so I can definitely give your face and body a wonderful makeover" .The man's face had turned pale ..I looked at the blue eyed stranger and said "Just for a reminder, coffee stains are a little hard to wash away at a short notice" he looked at me confused ..Before he could comprehend anything I dumped the glass of coffee on his head and walked away…I reached my mansion and opened the door and sighed.. Here goes nothing!!
