Rose held her throat as she kicked her feet about, with her breathing constricted, she felt as though she was being strangled. Tears flowed freely from her eyes as she pleaded with heavy breaths, "Please, Officer James, make it stop. Please make it stop!"

She slid down the tree as she started squirming about, "It hurts! Oh god, it hurts!"

"Where does it hurt?" Officer James knelt beside her. "Tell me where it hurts, so I can help you."

"Everywhere!" Rose cried. "Everywhere hurts so bad!"

Shortly after saying those words, she started to choke; her neck and swollen face became red and her eyes bulged as her bleeding nostrils flared. She was dying right in front of him.

Rose made gurgling noises as her eyes rolled back in her head and that was when he realized...that she was somehow drowning in her own blood.

With one hand, he placed pressure on her chest, applying as much force as he could to his pumps.
