Chapter-3<Strangers-3>

As the vampire got out of the window, he directly jumped down. The vampire landed in a secluded alley behind the inn. He then conjured a hoddie and to hide his features. Then the vampire fetched a red color ball from his pocket. He then crushed the ball and spread the remains of the ball in the alley.

Then he started walking in the secluded alley. His main aim was to get out of here without getting noticed by anyone. If his guess was right then the imposters most probably did not come here alone. He had little idea about the real identities of the imposters. And he didn't want to confront them, that is why he decided that he would just run away.

These people probably came here in a group. And probably the rest of their group must have surrounded the village. So he would need a big distraction to get out of here unnoticed…

The vampire walked silently from one secluded alley to another without being noticed by anyone else. And as he was getting to the outskirts of the village, he sensed an attack…

As soon as he sensed the attack that vampire conjured a magic circle in the air. Then with that, he stopped the incoming attack. The attack that the vampire sensed was from a magical arrow that was zooming in towards him. And as he sensed that the arrow was about him, he conjured a red color magic circle and intercepted the arrow in the air.

As soon as the arrow and magic circle made contact, a blast took place. The blast decimated the nearby houses easily. As the Boonie village was poor, every house here was made of wood. So it was fairly easy for the house to get destroyed with this kind of blast.

The blast that took place destroyed the nearby house as well as sent a shock towards the neighboring houses. But despite the powerful shock wave of the blast, the vampire stood in his place like nothing had happened. He looked towards the general direction from which the arrow came. And ut was then he saw a man was standing on the roof of one of the houses of the Boonie village…

Inside the inn, the two strangers were sitting in the restaurant. It was then they heard the noise of the blast that came from outside. As soon they heard the noise he abruptly got up on their feet. Both of them simultaneously threw away their clothes. As they threw away their clothes, everyone in the inn was able to see their real faces.

The big burly man was a middle-aged man with a very muscular body. He had red color hair and he was wearing silver color armor underneath with a great two-handed sword on his back. And the little stranger with the middle-aged man was a woman. She was also wearing and silver armor like the big burly man but instead of the great sword, she had a small saber by her side.

Both of these strangers were wearing silver color armor with a red color flying bird insignia engraved on their torso. As soon as they heard the explosion, both of them took out their respective weapons and started running outside…

The Vampire when saw that an archer was spinning from the building, he thought that he should first get rid of him. After all, that man could see his current location. And if he is not taken care of soon then he would be a huge pain in the ass when the reinforcements arrive. If his guess is right then that archer was able to see the whole village from up there. So he can track his movements all the time.

So the vampire started moving towards the archer. While on the other hand, the archer understood what this vampire was trying to do. He started sending a volley of arrows towards the vampire. All these arrows were less powerful than the original arrow that he shot earlier. But they were still destructive.

The vampire started running towards the archer at full speed. As he was running, he would occasionally deflect the arrows towards his side. His deflection would send the arrows to the local houses and buildings. And then the destructive power behind that arrow started destroying the neighboring houses and buildings.

Fire from the blast-generated arrows started spreading through the whole village. Chaos spread through the whole village. Men started gathering and started putting out the fire. While the children and the older women started running away from all this fire…

While this was happening, through the volley of arrows, the vampire got near the archer. The vampire was about to reach the archer when he sensed another deadly attack coming his way. The vampire abruptly jumped sideways. And as he did he avoided a flying slash that came his way.

As the vampire avoided the attack he saw that the flying slash was the courtesy of a bearded middle-aged man wearing silver armor. While the vampire was looking at the bearded man, he was suddenly intercepted by a small being. And this time the vampire was barely able to avoid the attack.

The woman with the saber was a close combat expert. As soon as he came to the battlefield, she straight away started going for the head of the vampire. She took out her saber and like an agile cat straight away swung her saber towards the head of the vampire.

The saber pierced through the vampire's torso and made a very deep cut in on his chest. As the vampire took a powerful blow to his chest, he made some distance between him and the girl. He jumped back and started weaving a magic circle in the air. But as he was weaving the circle, his black hand started acting up.

As the vampire's black hand started acting up, he lost his concentration and thus the process of weaving a magic circle was stopped in between. The vampire knew that he would not be able to fight these guys with his black hands. He had to run away from here, otherwise, these guys would kill him. It was then the vampire sensed something. Something big was coming from the forest.

So he fished out a black color ball from his pocket and smashed it with his feet…

The black color ball was a smoke bomb which gave him enough cover to run away. While the group of people that were trying to kill the vampire earlier, when started chasing the vampire, they stopped in their tracks.

Those people started hearing distant roars of animals coming from the forest. The vampire anticipated that these guys would start helping the people of the village in that beast tide. That is why he sprinkled that red color ball earlier in the alleyway. But he was very wrong. Those people didn't bat an eye at this situation and started chasing after the vampire…

That night was a disaster. The people of the village did not know who were those guys. The fact that those people were capable enough to cause this much destruction baffled the people. While the beast tide took the life of most of the people of the village. And from that day onwards, that night started to be referred to as the darkest night of their life.

The Boonie village had around 200 people living in it. But only 31 people were able to tomorrow's sunrise. Most of the village was destroyed. But somehow the inn was able to survive that dark night. While most of the survivors were women and children. Most of the men died fighting the beast tide and putting out the fire from the last night.

The next day was very busy in the inn. Everyone was running here and there trying to treat the injured. While the snow also started falling, which meant that the winter was upon them. And in only just a few hours all the roads to the nearest village would be blocked.

That meant that these guys had nowhere else to go…

While the people in the inn were running here and there, none of them noticed that Fabian was missing. And none of them even bothered to find his body…

If they would have bothered then they would have found the man in question on the third floor. Lying under the rubble of a broken table. They would witness that there was something blackish liquid substance that was dripping on the bite wound on Fabian's neck….
