4 Chapter 23: The Spider and The Princess

*One Month Later*

Angus had go further than anyone else in the record as he traveled 300 km away from mountain but no one knew about that. The only way for him to survive was to avoid fighting the Spiders as much as possible.

After he escaped the Queen, he came back to his world and bought an Owl from the same pet shop and used it as his vision in the dark night. He named it, Hades and he also felt weird why the hell did everything he needed for a pet had to be some kind of birds, he tried to look for beasts that can see in the dark but Owl was his best option.

"It is you destiny to be attach to the birds"

"Shut up Perfect"

Hades wasn't like Thunder and Phoenix, He didn't change it size but he boosted it intelligence and added something like a voice record, he wanted Hades to learn how to give him signal by sound. Hades was like an old man among Phoenix and Thunder, quiet and calm, not like those 2 who nearly destroyed his house because they were fighting for food. Thankfully, Ling was at the elementary and he added some new code lines into their mind to suppress their urge for food.

At this moment, he was in a very opening field with Hades on his shoulder. Hades head turn full circle to look around for the Spiders but there wasn't any so it signaled him that he was safe for now.

"Perfect, this is going nowhere, we haven't found the Death Spider for 1 month now. Do you have any idea?"

"Maybe if you became a spider, you could go into their colonies to look for Death sooner"

"It is that an idea or to mock me?"

"Of course it is an idea" Now Perfect sounded sarcasm.

"Ok, I will look for one"

He captured a Soldier which just a little bigger than normal ones, he considered how to become a spider but he came what with an idea which was to use the spider as a character like an FPS. He then programmed into the spider to controlled its body and erase its mind, it took him a long time to used 25 lines of codes to controlled it with the most simplest command and control.

He used the tablet to control the Soldier, he used one of the eyes of the spider as a camera and showed on the tablet. He first tried to control the spider but sometime it ran too fast or too slow, so he replaced some lines then he controlled again but it couldn't climb the walls or spit out webs. Another hours, he added and replaced to perfect the code lines for the Soldier and after a few failed experiments, he could now controlled the spider and act like a normal spider.

"Last time The Queen chased you, I had mapped the direction where came from so her colony is the nearest"

"Ok, Spidy. Let move"

He controlled the Soldier to the Queen colony, he saw some small and big spiders also moved to the same location. The Workers carried the dark woods while the Soldier protected them on the way, he also controlled his spider to follow them. They finally reached a huge gate that surrounded by white webs, he moved into the gate and saw the unbelievable web networks that spiders built. He climbed onto the webs and toured the beautiful yet horrifying colony, as he controlled Spidy to go around more to see if there was any Death Spider but all he saw much bigger spiders and now his spider was suspicious by the larger spiders because he was the smallest in the whole area.

"Seem like I am the commoner who entered the Noble area"

He tried to move back but he was blocked by other huge spiders and they were coming at him. When they reached him, they lifted they legs and tried to stomp him so he dodged but they seem to be more angry and tried to spit acids at him. Some got on his spider body, he only controlled the spider less than a day so his control of the spider wasn't good.

The bigger spiders gathered around him and tried to kill his spider again but suddenly all the spiders stopped as they trembled in fear, he also heard some weird sound from the tablet. What happened next shocked him more, Spidy moved without being control and passed the other spiders as they moved away from him and created for a path his spider. Spidy moved pass every spiders and they moved away from him until he reached an area where devoid of spiders and only some webs around. On the screen, he saw an entrance which blocked by very thick webs but Spidy didn't go that way, the spider moved to a small crack near the entrance and entered it.

Spidy entered hall filled with only webs that covered every parts of the hall, the spider moved and he saw "light" from the camera. The thing he saw from the camera even make him scared to the point his soul felt like wanted to escape from his body.

"Four Stripes, Death spider but its size maybe the same as the queen or bigger"

It was Death and its size was half of a football stadium. It eyes wasn't looked at the spider but him from the camera.

"Hello, youngster. I am Death"

He heard something not from his ears but in his mind, the voice he heard inside was kind like an old grandpa yet he still scared because it introduced itself as Death.

"Still scared?!! My appearance isn't for friendly you know, I am speaking to you by soul link. When the spider that you controlled had human scent and its pattern of walking around like it was a newborn so I concluded you must controlled the spider. I am using the spider as the link to you, the eyes is door to the soul after all and I see you"

"What do you want from me, Senior?"

"Senior? A human pay respect for me, that rare but I know what you want, the cure from me. But I need you to do something, can you pass a message to someone from other side?"

"Senior, I can help you if you help me."

"This will take times but I hope you ready"

"Senior, I have all the time in world"

The Death moved its eyes and a beam of light shot to the Spidy's eye camera then the beam passed the camera and hit his eye. Something happened to him as he stood motionless.

*200 years ago*

"Princess, don't touch the spider, that thing had 4 red stripes, mean that the spider is more deadly than other 1 and 2 stripes."

"Oh cmon David, are you supposed to be a man? A small spider like this cannot harm anyone"

A small girl moved slowly a small spider which known as Death in future, the young spider was afraid as it climbed to the tree and thought that no one would harm it if it on the tall tree so it showed its arrogance and happy weird dance with 8 small legs on the tree.

"See David, it just some harmless spider and it even dance"

The young girl jumped on to the tree and caught the spider with a gentle way. The spider was afraid and ready to spit webs but the way she hold him and petted it which made it calm down. The spider felt something that it haven't felt before, Warmth and it was from her hand that gave him a feeling that his mother didn't give him.

"I will call you Spindra, you are so nice to touch"

"Princess, this is dangerous, your dad don't want you to come here"

"David, this is just our small secret adventure"

She played with the spider for a while then she released him but the spider kept lingering around her dress.

"Haha, even spider love me"

"Please Princess, we have to leave now"

"Ok, now Spindra, I will come back here later"

She used some sign languages until the small spider understand so it leaved her alone. Bunch of big spiders came from the forest after the princess and her servant left, they spoke in strange language like the Queen. If translate into English:

"Young King, Please don't leave the nest again"

"Go away, I am not in the mood to talk"

The small spider walked with its big soldiers until they reached the nest. The next day, she came again and the small spider also came, they played with small games and she showed him some interesting stuff, the princess was only 5 at that time. Days after days and years after years until she reached 15, the small spider also understand the human language a bit and it called himself Spindra.

"Spindra, I am going to marry soon. What do you have for advice?"

"Princess, it is just the spider. If you want to ask you can ask your mom."

"David my mom doesn't care about me but the Noble house. If I would rather marry Spindra than marry that fat asshole"

"Princess, your joke almost make my heart stop"

Spindra was now as big as a Worker and it wrote down something on the ground: "I would love to"

"I know Spindra love me after all"

She hugged the spider and looked at the sky, she admired the endless night view even if there were dangers but Spindra here, she wasn't afraid.

The air around them started to get chilly and huge spider appeared from the forest and it had 3 stripes, it was the Queen. It looked at the princess as she hugged the Young King, her son. It screamed and attacked the group with dangerous gas poison but David already protected her, while Spindra stood up and attacked his mother then asked her to stop.

"Stop, Mom. They are my friend"

"Don't get in my way Young King"

The Queen released more deadly gas and some had entered David and the Princess body. David hurried bring the princess out of danger and hurried to the gate. The Queen didn't follow them but it knew the poison was enough to kill them then it took Spindra back to the nest.

When the princess and David came out of the gate, they were seen with black veins all over their faces. They were carried to the palace and a lot of doctors came and tried to cure them but no antidote or medicine pills could cure them so they focused on helping the princess to stay alive. David was about to die and the poison was strong enough to render his voice but he finally spoke something before he died: The spider with 4 stripes.

The message from David was wrong but the same time was not because only Spindra could save the princess. The king ordered every rank 5 to go into the gate and brought back the Spider with 4 stripes alive.

The massive of human wave entered the gate was noticed by the spider colonies and Spindra was smart enough to think that the Princess was in danger and her father sent people in to found a way to save her. Spindra was the young king of the colony so it ordered some Soldiers to create a distraction, the spiders weren't smart to begin with so they went on a riot.

Spindra left the nest and found a small group of human. It appeared after heard about the mission and the group of rank 5 were happy to capture the spider with 4 stripes alive and they would receive huge rewards.

"Sir, the 4 stripes spider is here. We need you to bring the princess here so that we can extract the antidote from it can give it to her directly and fast"

"Guards, bring the princess here"

The princess was carried on a small bed by some guards. When Spindra saw her, he was happy but also felt guilty when saw her black veins. It jumped around and tried to break the cage.

"What is this thing try to do? Guards help me"

But before the guards could react, Spindra escaped from its cage and sprinted to the Princess. The guards tried to stop him but he was quick and much faster than them. When he almost reached the king stand, he stopped because the king could kill him in seconds. Suddenly, Spindra tried to take out its life force which was the cure for the poison and half of it life span decreased. What the king saw shocked him, the spider offered him a small blue droplet that contain its life force and pointed to the princess.

The King acted fast as he took the droplet and dropped into the princess's mouth. After that, all the black veins gone and her face from pale to slight pink then she opened her eyes, she saw Spindra and she smiled as she looked at him. He was also happy to see the princess's smiling face again. The Queen of the kingdom then ordered the guards to kill the spider after she saw her daughter recovered.

"Kill the filthy thing guards."

The guards moved with their swords in their hands and closely got near Sprindra but the princess shouted loudly before the guards could kill him.

"Please let the spider go back, please dad and mom. If you agreed, I will marry the Noble house"

"Why are you protecting this filthy creature?"

"Because he is my friend"

Her mother was now more certain to kill it more but the king ordered the guards secure him so that he could personally bring it back to the Void World.

After the king delivered him back to his land, he knew that the spider understood the human language and warned the spider to never come back and then he told his daughter to also never come to Void World anymore.

In time, she married the Noble while Spindra was captured by the Queen and was locked in a prison for 200 years. Everything about her and the spider was erased and fabricated to protect the princess's reputation. After generations, the story was told to show how scary Death was and the unfortunately princess.

*Present time*

"So what do you know what the message is?"

"Goodbye, my friend"
