6 Chapter 06

Maple was glad to find that blood bank is a thing in this world.

"Needy humans exchange their blood for money and some even makes a living out of it. They are tested heath wise and should be in health to give some of their blood, otherwise we don't accept them. Some vampires go around looking for a prey to feed on, but it needs consent and there's a law for improper act of feeding behaviours. The law goes for all the supernatural beings even though some doesn't follow them as they should. Every race has its own leader or nobles who oversees their kin, so there's no actual danger for the humans to coexist with us. Then there is The Council of Peace, with leaders of each kin as it's member. They makes most of the rules and everyone has to abide by them, even us."

"How about Seokjin, he seem to have liberty to do what he wants."

"Prince Seokjin will become one of The Council members when his father steps down so he is kind of an exception."

Maple frowns at that and hold her tongue even though she really wanted to curse the man out for starting all her troubles. She sighed leaning back on the chair as she sips her glass of wine which Yoongi had offered after they had feed on their share of meal. They were in a bar, relaxing anyway, just them and the liquor. Wine is good, it washes away the taste of blood and Maple is just glad that they can enjoy some light human drinks, honestly.

"If I may ask, why Hoseok looked at me like I would eat him up?" Maple questions, wanting to know what made the man fear her mere presence.

"You did though," Yoongi laughs for a second.

"Answer, my Lord." Maple teases, speaking politely but her gaze was just sharp and waiting.

"Lady Maple don't like mixed bloods, she prefers pure ones just like herself and Prince Seokjin. She tolerates other beings and nothing more. Lord Hoseok is of mixed blood and she never even stayed in the same room as him. One time when Lord Hoseok cross her on the hallway and she threaten to eat him whole."

"That's an awful thing to do as a Lady of high standing." Maple remarks, frowning as she recalls seeing Hoseok so scared when she feed from him.

"Maybe you could try talking to him." Yoongi suggested offhandedly.

"I would love to," Maple agrees, nodding her head. In her own world, Hoseok and her birthday were only a week apart and their zodiac sign were same. An Aquarius, and she was always curious how they would be if they were friends in real life.

A door opening interrupted her thoughts and she turn her gaze to see to has come to bar. The little smile she has turn into a frown when she saw its Seokjin walking straight towards her.

"Love, how are you?" Seokjin smiles and sits down close to Maple, who just sighs and turn back her gaze to the stack of bottles and glasses on the shelf. "Yoongi, would you mind?" he says politely, but Maple don't like how Yoongi actually stood up from his seat and bows before walking out of the room itself.

"What do you want now?" Maple asks and drowns her wine and puts the empty glass back on the bar, still silently refusing to even look at the man.

"You." Seokjin calmly answers and warps his arms around Maple's waist. "You should have changed your clothes before wondering out of our bedroom in your sleepwear. Are you trying to seduce the others?" he teases, dropping kisses on the neck every few seconds.

"What if I am?" Maple was annoyed that her body turns pliant and relaxes when Seokjin touches her. She hates it how his kisses actually feels nice on her skin. She tried to get away but Seokjin was stronger than her and only tightens his hold on her with a chuckle.

"They will never dare to even touch you." Seokjin coos and pulls her to his lap, manhandling her to sit sideways so he could see her face.

Stubbornly, Maple turn her head to the other side but Seokjin hold on her jaw and pulls her face close towards himself. Then Maple closes her eyes, not wanting to see the man who resembles the sweet and funny Seokjin only in physicality and nothing else. She didn't see this Prince Seokjin watching her with longingly.

"Love, you are hurting me by resisting like this." Seokjin says, his voice sounding different from all the time he spoke. He sounded genuinely hurt and sad. Inturn, Maple could actually feel his sadness radiating off him like a raindrop rolling off the skin. It saddens her with a heavy feeling settling in her heart. "What can I do to make you see that you belong with me?" he sounded really heartbroken and Maple just couldn't ignore it.

"Why does it have to be me?" Maple whispers, curled up as Seokjin holds her close to him with his arms around her. "I never wished for me to be here."

Maple shudders when Seokjin kisses her neck and lingers there for a moment.

"Don't force me, please." Maple whispers, placing her hand on her neck to cover the skin, but Seokjin still kissed her fingers first, then moves up to her jaw. He stopped there, placing a kiss on the corner of her mouth last.

"Let's get you to bed." Seokjin says and stands. Maple didn't fight when he hold her in his arms and started walking instead of letting her down and leading her.

They pass by Namjoon on the hallway but Maple was too embarrassed to look up from staring at the floor. She just wanted to be under the blanket hiding away but Seokjin walks slowly while singing a tune as if they has all the time in the world. They probably have, but she just wanted to get into the room fast and run into no one.

"Oh.. Seokjin!" a voice said and then the footsteps were coming their way: and the voice sounded like Taehyung.

"What a surprise, you're carrying Lady Maple!"

yup, definitely Kim Taehyung. Just great.
