1 The Start

Waking up early in the morning I sat up in my bed as I yawned to get ready for school. After an hour later, the pearl, azure sky shone over the front yard. Through the kitchen window, I sat down to enjoy yesterday's dinner as I heated it back up. Taking my bag, I put on my shoes and walked out the door, saying a hollow goodbye to an ever empty household.

~

Exhausting a slight breath, my mind was elsewhere as I dreaded the thought if going to school to put up with the usual annoyance and plastic smiles. Its, "tenty-ninteen... ". Even as normal, modernization is involved, there is no such thing as normalcy in an ever changing society.

My hair, clothes, from the way I dressed to how I applied concealer makeup on my blemishes, nothing was out of the ordinary with what I did. That is, from my view point...

In recent years, I developed a style that raised more attention than other who had green, orange, or blonde hair as my, "normal school look", was, in itself, out if the ordinary in a world where everyone strives stands out. Those who are fortunate to avoid this trend, were often those who were in isolation from the world or simply didn't care for what others thought.

I was somewhere in between of this dedication that I created from my observations...

Just like the idea of there being a reader, curious as to what is written about my everyday life than those who see my story as means to direct attention... Hmm. In a sense, I am, at most, self aware if who is or isn't reading my life's story. NO! I am not Saena_bun, nor am I a real person... I simply exist as I was created, for example, did you know this story is not mine to tell?

If you are still reading, then, let's continue shall we...

What was just read was not gibberish, in fact, it was not related to the story one bit. "A waste of time? ". Maybe so, though, if this little attempt to aggravate you intimidate stopping failed, then, I accept you as passionate readers with love for literature.

"Isuki? " Looking up in a daze, I looked intit he eyes if the disciplinary committee vice president, Naomi Aierma.

"Huh?! "

Creasing her face into a soft stare, I lightly smiled as I came back to my senses.

"Anyway... Did you finish yesterdays homework? "

Shaking my head, I nodded intently and as she relaxed herself I headed right into the school. Looking back as she greeted more students, I could only admire and envy her as she was upfront with everyone. My abnormal tendencies to over think the mist simplest of things, made me uncomfortable with talking to others.

Closing my eyes as I climbed go the steps, my mind was still recovering from simply talking to Naomi, I bumped into my cheerful and airhead classmate. Her beauty Easter second to none, however, even I had doubts whether she thought things through or not as she always made mistakes.

"Isuki! You came! " For some strange reason, I became a target for her attention as she spoke to me more often than enough.

"H-hi... Class Rep? " Pouting a she disliked the idea if being called something other than her name, I couldn't help but being formal.

"Awe... Why can't you call me by my first name, Amy? Awe-awe! Everyone calls me by my name except for you! "

In hindsight, I knew how to get rid of her though, losing the only reason I wasn't bullied, outweighed my desire to be alone.

Smiling awkwardly, she gave me money and asked me to buy her lunch from the convenience store. Before I could speak and deny her request, she ran off to focus in school council work. Exhausting another breath as I was in the school council as her aid, my sense of duty was partly to blame for my obedience.

As you can well see, my life us what would be considered, " a fortunate, average high school life. ". "Why and how do I know I'm in some elaborate story, you may ask?"

Simple, the Author that motions my life has made it so I am self-aware of my situation... Since, essentially I am made up, my life can lead in any direction, she wills it. Though, if anything, a sence if witty wording may fool some inyi believing there is more to me as a character than one may think... Afterall, this is not my story... Hmm. "

~

Reaching the convenience store and buying a sandwich with a bottled drink flavored in cherry, I paid and walked outside. Looking up as the bright, white sunlight brisk through the clouds and illuminated the world with its presence. The soft breeze rolling through as well as the rays of light shining, made it seem like school could wait.

Strolling through the riverbank and stopping after looking all around for anyone I might know, I climed down and experienced the cool wind in my skin. In that moment, I was at bliss whule tuning out the traffic and listening to the motion of the water moving along.

"Azula... Princess, Azula? "

Turning around and opening my eyes as the breeze made my hair cover my face, I turned around to meet the gaze of a middle school boy as his uniform was one I wore last year. More so, his eyes glistened as if he was looking at bliss itself.

"Can I help you? " Suddenly, he took a step forward as he dropped down and took out a handmade story book.

He then flipped to the center of the book and shifted his gaze back and fourth from the pages and me. As I was about to speak, he collapsed to the ground as he tilted the book for me to see.

What I saw was a hand drawn picture of what looked a girl, standing abive a green tipped hill. Her beautiful, golden white dress stood out more as her gaze was shifted to an open and vast, grassy plan as far as the eye can see. Looking around as I wondered what to do, I crouched down and asked if he was lost.

"Mmm... My big sister gave me this boon when I was seven... She told me her soul was put into the pages... But-but, when she passed away two years ago, I-I... My mom and dad told me I was denying reality when I set out to find the Princess in her story..."

Taken back by what he said, I cleared my head and spoke to him as I normally would.

"You think I am this... Princess, your older sister made up... And, by somehow finding her, you-what? What will happen? " My eyes were clear as I spoke to him as I would like to be spoken to.

"I... She promised! She-look... " Turning yge pages to the end, he showed me his boom and as I read the last sentence of the story, my eyes cried out of my control.

"'Should... A valiant, hero find me... I will lead him to a new tomorrow where he can be with the one he loves... Find me... Brave hero, and let our future envelope your blinding light! '"

Turning away as I cought myself from getting any mite emotional, my focus was to tell the boy I was not the Princess in his inlder sister's story. However..,

"I found you! That means... That means you'll come with me towards the East to fund your kingdom and, and then... After touch get your powers-" Flipping through the starting pages, he showed me a picture where the Princess stood with light all around her as she floated in mid-air."Your powers! Look-look... And after you get your powers back, you can grant any wish, a wish, my wish... To see my sister... Ugh... Hmm... I can see my sister again... "

Biting my lip as I was forced to look away, my emotions were on a tipping point as I spike without meeting his gaze. In truth, I could have handled the pain that gus sister was gine and no one could bring her back.

"I can't... " Softly speaking as I grew angry at myself for being weak, my voice depended as I spoke clearly. "I'm not a Princess... I-Im a nobody... "

"No... Nono! Your Princess Azula! Look! You both have the same hair color and-"

"I'm telling you I'm not her! I can't be Princess... Its just not... I cant bring your sister back... I'm sorry, your sister sounds like a nice person, but, I can't help you and tour parents gave a point. "

As he stood up, he paced back and fourth utnul he abruptly stopped to speak.

"You have been the only one who can help me... If... If what my sister wrote in her book was true, say it was even possible, my inkt family was ever inky my older sister... When she died... I-I broke down and cried until I passed out... Tell me... Tell me why I can't have faith in what my sister wrote and why I can't see my older sis-"

Stopping as he collapsed and took a deep breath as he released his sorrow. Looking at me with tears in his eyes, my heart couldn't take any more heartache as I suddenly found myself in the same situation.

"But-" Stopping me with his resolve in his eyes, I stopped and watched him a she got back up.

Stopping infornt of me, he took my hand and pulled me up as he looked at me in my eyes ad we were essentially the same height.

"Please... If not you, if this is just my fantasy... Let me see it through to the end for as far as I know, you... Are the Princess I was searching for... " Blushing slightly, his resolve and clear determination to see thus story through, made me suddenly have faith in him. Regardless if logic, my mind and heart disagreed without contest, yet, I still ended up taking his hand.

"Will you... Come with me... To see where my sisters book leads me? "

It was a moment that stopped time and stirred the inside if my chest as I saw his face, felt his grip, and touched his warm, bare hands with my own. I was compelled to nod as I could help but getting list in his words.

With a strong smile, he closes his eyes as if looking at light itself. Opening them, I shuddered even more. Radiant light covered us both as if fate wanted us to go on this wild journey.

Closing my eyes, I suddenly opend then and found myself in class as all I could think about was the boy.

"Miss, Izuki?! " Startled, I looked aorudn and eky the faze of my teacher as I was in a daze in class with blushing cheeks as red as can be.

"As I was saying... The many historical battles that lead to t... " Her voice faded from my mind as my heart was still fluttering with how close thus mornings encounter was.

Even more so, was we agreed to met up at the end of the week as we prepared for the long journey.

~

As soon as class ended, I paid little mind to the whispers and chatter all around me. It wasn't until Amy met my gaze. Leaning back as our noses touched, she looked at me with a dead serious expression and asked if I was alright.

"H-huh?! " Blushing as the reason I was in a daze was partly due to the boy, my mouth slipped as I was honest. "I met a boy earli-"

Covering my mouth and taking me with her to the bathroom, she closes us in a stall and sat me down as she wanted to know everything.

"O-oh... Well... " As I told her about everything, she stood holding her hand to her chin and looked ar me as she looked into my eyes.

"I cannot... Express how oriyd if you I am, Isuki?! Your finally taking charge and soon... You'll be a grown woman... "

Blushing intently, I was about to talk until she hugged me tightly and stated she was coming with me abd the boy in this supposed journey.

"I think your missing... the point. "

Standing up, she got down on knees knee and proclaimed herself ad my loyal subject and knight. Heating laughter and giggles in the other side of the stall door, I couldn't believe the embarrassment I was going through. Defeated, I went along with whatever and afterwards, we ended up being more close as she wouldn't leave my side anymore.

~

Getting home, Amy took a step inside as I claimed the door behind me and set my shoes away properly.

"Woah... Thus entire place is your home, Isuki?"

"Kinda... My mom works as an overnight security guard at the mall, and my dad is currently serving in the military... Its usulay quiet and I often have the place to myself. "

Turning to me, I felt she now saw me more unfortunate, which fueled her desire to never leave my side.

Making dinner with leftovers from yesterdays dinner my mom made begite leaving for work, we went up to my room. Eating as Amy went around and touched almost everything I owned, she sighed as I wasn't all interesting.

"Isuki... Oh, my Sweet, timid and shy Princess... Please, allow me the hinir if serving by your side until death do us part! "

Closing my eyes as it was getting old, she appeared before me suddenly and overpowered me as she threw me onto my bed.

"C-class rep-" Softly touching my lips and tilting her head, she leaned in close as she spoke.

"When I first saw you... I followed you on the first day of school... " Attempting to say sotnhibg and quickly being met with resistance, I stayed silent a she continued.

"You see... Isuki... The moment I saw how hard you were trying, the way you pressed your ckeek as you pondered in a question... Oh... I melted and melted until I just had to have you... And, the moment the other boys asked you to pick up their pen from the floor, I couldn't bare the thought of someone else stealing you away... "

("What exactly is going on here... What happend to the airhead, class rep. ")

"I-S-U-K-agh! I. " My sudden gasp as she glowed onto my ear, I pushed her off and raised my voice as I ordered her to stop.

Smiling intently, as she wwas about to jump in me, she suddenly froze and held an expressionless gaze.

~

An hour had passed and I had been confused f

as Amy sat idle in the floor. Her eyes were open and closed automatically, however, her dead gaze made it intensely nerve racking as she didn't head any of my responses.

"A-Amy... Talk to me... Amy? " Sitting infornt if her as I was starting to shake, my mind wandered until I remembered the way I raised my voice to stopped her. "Amy... Snap out if it! "

Opening my eyes, she slowly began ti live her face and met my worried gaze as she wondered what happened as she was cifnused when I appeared in the floor beside her

"W-what... ha-" Hugging her intently, she was lost and as I told her what happened, she saw no reason I would lie.

"It must be... But, can it? " Turning to me, she then continued. "I think... When I claimed to be your, subject... or knight... I think, I gave you the right to order me around. "

Had it not been for what happened and everything I tried, I wanted to be skeptical and deny it as a prank she was pulling, but, snapped out if it as I saw her hands shaking.

"How is this even possible? " Meeting my gaze as she told me about the boys story, I reilized where she was headed. "Is it possible? "

"If what the boy you met said... Then, you might, actually be this, Princess... "

Standing up as my heart was beating not either love, but, fear as many things spun in my mind.

"C-calm down! Isuki... Calm down. "Seeing her gaze as I recalled just a moment agi with her forcing herself on me, she noticed and apologized.

"I sort of lost it... Being in my crush's room, while her patents are out... It took it'd toll and overpowered my desire to help you... It won't happen again... Today. "

Standing up as she was able to make jokes, my mind shifted to my mom and dad as if I do go with the boy on the journey, it would menace leaving without a trace. After a while, Amy reilized what she promised and we both found ourselves in a delicate situation.

"Isuki... If the boys sisters story is the real deal... Then, what will happen when we find this... Kingdom where you restore your powers? "

Sitting down as we both looked to space, I quickly caught myself and wondered... if this was really someone else's story... Suddenly, I heard her voice in my head.

*Hmm... Should it be your story Isuki... Dragging your new friend itno it seemed like the best thing under the circumstances. Had I not made it so you control her actions... After all, I would not have needed to have stepped in between you and Amy... Mmm-hmm?*

Turning my gaze, I was about to speak when she suddenly cut me off.

*Should you tell anyone who is in your head... Nothing... I mean, we've been together since this story started so... Keep it PG. I'll lend a hand, however, should you veer from your path... I'll turn this entire thing into a raging por-*

"I get it! I get it... " Turning to her sides as Amy wondered who I was talking to, she suddenly held a worried look in her face a different I was crazy.

*Hmm... Want me to undo your, friends little spell? *

Turning to her, I gave a hard, no as I listened.

*Okay! So... Here's how its gonna go... You are free to decide where and which way everything goes... Don't complicate things by asking whether I'm making this up as I go or its all legit, know, if you have a headache, that's good! In any case, I'll give you a tip to keep things interesting... Hmm. 'Fear the Pink omen... For you will surly be left in the wind.' Anyway, good luck! *

"W-wait! What does that mean? " Hiding my soft gaze into the air, I forgot how used to her voice I had grown accustomed to. Turning my gaze towards Amy, I exhausted a heavy breath and decided to make my choice by the end if the week.

~

After a long bath, I ordered Amy to wait outside as the spell came in handy now that I knew Amy's true nature. In any case, afteafter I was finished and dressed, Amy pouted after she snapped out of it and took a gloomy bath.

Before I fell asleep, I tied Amy in a thick, puffy blanket and rolled her onto the bed.

"Wake up! "

Looking around as she tried to move, she accepted it as she herself siaf it was a good counter measure.

"I wanted to leave you out in the living room, but, that's just mean as a host. "

"Hmm... You should be nicer to your guests... So, you can let me out-"

"Hard, no. " Closing my eyes as I slipped into my bed, I rested my head as she looked at me.

"Hmm... Fine. "

After a while, I wanted to ask her sotnhibg and as I was about to speak, she stopped me.

"It doesn't bother me... " Startled as she responded in a soft tone. "The commands... It doesn't bother me. So, dont let it best you up inside... Remember, I'm just really happy I get to be by your side... Isuki. "

Looking at her with admiration, she smiled brightly as the moonlight shined through the window and radiated her glistening face, I gasped lightly as I never had a firned who accepted my faults in all.

"So... Don't worry... And let me out, I promise to be gentle-" Touching her forgesd with my own, she suddenly relaxed herself and for the rest of the night, she giggled slightly and spoke.

"I suppose... This is nice, too. "
