1 The Dream

I turned the corner of the enormous building, which had once lit up the darkness of the night with every window that shone. As I rounded the corner the flicker of two yellow lights, near the edge of the ally, shone brighter and larger as they seemed to be getting closer and closer.

However, when the lights were as close as they could get, and I could feel the frigid uneasy breathe of a person in front of me, I awoke. As I woke up the blinding lights of the sunlight slowly creeping in through the blinds, made me squint my eyes adjusting to the brightness.

The room itself was very bland looking, not having much furnishings except for my bed along with it's canopy and single plush chair in the corner.

As I sat up I noticed a small white cat laying fast asleep on the plush chair adorning the corner of the room.

"Mary Ann", I say, furrowing my brows as I stare at the cat.

Suddenly the cat jerked awake, showing it's pure green eyes, which quickly averted to me. It stares at me for a couple of moments before, finally getting up and walking towards me.

However, once the white cat arrives by my side I am no longer looking at a shabby white cat, but at a beautiful lady with long white hair, which cascades down her shoulders. And two green shimmering orbs as eyes.

"Same dream Marlene", she said as she pushed the canopy and draped it over the top frame of my bed. "Yeah, I just don't understand why we had to move here, ever since we arrived here I've been having these weird non lucid dreams", I say.

"Hmm, that does seem a bit off, but you know that we couldn't stay back home", she says trailing off and looking away not wanting to make the situation more awkward.

"Well anyways, come down to eat when your ready your dad's probably waiting for you", she said before leaving. "Okay", I say, a single tear streaming down my face.
