1 Fresh Start

In a forest a baby sits in a clearing of trees and bushes, he was swathed in clothes made from shining silk and feathers. He wore a laurel crown upon his small head and streaks of white hair with black tips lay over smooth skin; that glowed a healthy dark olive tone.

He held a fluffy white rabbit in his arms that was slightly bigger than his small body and looked about in a curious manner, the light shown through the leaves of the forest had provided the best scenery for the child to look at the flowers of different colors that grew from the bushes surrounding the clearing. A light breeze carried through the forest to slightly tussle his hair.

He smiled as the wind blew through his hair in a gentle loving manner and laughed when the rabbit in his arms curled into his embraced, the wholesome view of this was perfect as if protected by nature itself, the child himself was unknown to the fact that his laughter would save a group of people from their demise.

[POV Change]

"You know the reason we couldn't find that den was because Dawn is an incompitent ranger, she wouldn't be able to find that den if it were right in front of her"

A young female dwarf wearing heavy armor and boasting a warhammer points at a lilith figure of the archer named Dawn "Well at least I don't hold the group back due to her short stature" The women scoffed and threw back an insult while tucking her hair over her ear, showing its pointed tip and revealing her elven origin.

The rivalry was clear now, the dwarf and elf made continuous quips between each other While the others made their way while watching the two go at it. 'Do you think they will ever come to an impasse?" a warrior wielding a great axe said to himself.

The others near him looked at him before looking behind him towards a swordswoman. She was giving the warrior looks before looking down at her feet or looking away the mage and healer of the group sighed while thinking (You should worry about your own problems before questioning others) the group collectively sigh after hearing the axe wielders statement and continue in silence.

But the bickering suddenly ended. The group unsheathed their weapons while circling up. Weapons held in posture, they waited as eyes made themselves known from the dark bushes of these woods. The soft anticipation of the coming battle builds a sweat on the mage's brow, when he swept it away, a wolf the size of a small car lept towards the healer.

The healer reacted, smashing the head of the wolf with a thin mace, it was repealed but the healer was sent backwards due to the force of the blow, tripping over a rock, she smashed her head against a root sticking out of the ground, effectively going out cold.

Losing their healer in the first bout, the rest of the group muscled up while the ranger grabbed the healer and shouldered her while they became more encircled by the wolf pack they were presumably hunting. Seeing the wolves bunched up while they circled them, the mage pulled out a flask of oil and chucked it towards the largest group of them, a fireball followed after the flask, Bursting the flask and lighting it's contents, the liquid fire fell on the wolves who tried to dodge the attack.

On fire, the wolves ran around, setting other ablaze, while some rolled on the ground trying to smother the flames.Using the disarray to sprint through the entrapment, the group hightailed it away. Running, the wolves that were not set on fire gave chase after the group, not willing to let go such damage already dealt to them.

Hearing the significant amount of footfalls behind them the group, somewhat nervous at the aspects of facing off against that many wolves, made them sprint faster. While they ran, more sounds could be heard behind, howls were let out to intimidate the prey. Putting the group on edge, they hoped it would not devolve into a last stand fight, when the sound of a babies laughter could suddenly be heard. Somewhat entranced by the sound, the group subconciously went towards the laughter.

Running dazed, they only came out of their stupor when they noticed a baby in a golden light. Wearing the white silk clothes and the golden laurel crown, the baby looked like a little prince lost in the forest. And his cuteness factor was only boosted by the fact that he was hugging a white rabbit slightly bigger than himself. They immidietly surrounded the child while prepairing to fight with their lives. But minuets ticked by and the wolves could not be heard, they looked confused as to whether this was a trick.

But the opening left little to be thought of when the child on his hands and knees, touched the ranger holding the healer. Just exhauseted running with all their gear, they collapsed while a youngin watched the group with a light in his eyes.
