Standing next to the gate of the house Adam came to a stop as he was about to open them.

"Do you need something Rin?"

"The explosions that went off in the direction of Sakura's house, that was you wasn't it?" she asked with an angry tone.

"Yeah, that was me, what's wrong?" he answered, but he was confused as to why she was angry at him.

"I had Archer inspect it, there wasn't a single person left in the house, he wasn't even able to find Shinji. Don't tell me you did something to them" she tried cornering him.

"I killed him along with that leech of a grandfather. I knew what I was doing and I know what the consequences of my actions are. Even if you don't like the way I handled it, it's not like you were going to do anything for your sister either way so I decided to help her. If you have a problem with the way I handled things, then you're free to hate me for it but It's not going to change what has already happened" Adam told her as he opened the gate and began walking inside.

"Don't walk away, I'm not done talking!" Rin yelled at him.

"You can lecture me about it tomorrow, I'm tired and I want to sleep"

"How do you even get tired?! Ahhhh! Why can't he just let me talk without giving me a lecture? Of course, I wanted to help her but there was nothing I could do. Why does he have to be such an asshole? '' Rin said, throwing a tantrum at the gates and cursing Adam to her heart's content.

Walking to the living room, Adam was taken back by the number of Homunculi in the same spot of the house. He didn't know who had told them to but they were all cleaning around the house, and with the ridiculous amount of them, it was a sight to behold with all of them cleaning a small part of the hallway.

Arriving at his bedroom, Adam could already sense multiple people hanging around inside. So when he opened the door he wasn't all that surprised seeing Ushiwakamaru staring at Medusa with her sword drawn, ready to attack.

"You can put your sword down Ushiwakamaru, she isn't going to attack anyone. I contracted her as my servant already," Adam said to her hoping it would calm her down, but in actuality, she appeared to get angrier.

"Master, you should tell me if you are to contract another servant. Am I not all the assistance you need for the war? Tell me what I'm lacking so that I can be better. Please Master," she said to him with a fiery passion that was coupled with a bit of sadness.

Grabbing his clothes to take a bath, Adam looked at her. "You're not lacking in anything, and I didn't form a contract with her because I needed more help, I did it so she could stay in the world and protect the girl laying on my bed unless you want to take on that role," he asked her, already knowing what she would answer.

"If I were to be ordered to, then I would take care of her for as long as I exist, but I would rather stay next to you Master," she said without a shred of embarrassment.

"Exactly, and I would rather you stay next to me as well. That's why I formed a contract with her, and she decided out of her own will to take care of Sakura" Adam said, glad that he managed to get his point across.

Ushiwakamaru didn't say anything back, as she was already satisfied by what she was hearing. It was the first time she heard her Master say he wanted her with him, so she was in a great mood. The sweet and charming smile was proof of how happy she was as she hummed something on her way out of the room.

"Are you like that with all the women around you?" Madusa asked him, with no clear reason behind the question.

"No, I have plenty of normal friends," Adam replied to her, not too sure what answer she wanted.

'I have to keep Sakura away from him,' Medusa thought to herself. She had a pretty good understanding of how Sakura worked so she didn't want to let her fall in love with someone like Adam, who was a natural-born playboy.

"I'll be back after taking a bath, try and wake up Sakura by then," Adam told her, exiting his room, leaving Medusa with Sakura.

Still not used to the sight of hundreds of the same faces around, Adam had a harder time walking around the hallways than he was used to. He had to ignore the weird looks from all the Einzbern Homunculus, that felt as if they were scanning him and the various number of times they bowed at him. He could tell the feeling was mutual as one of the girls that bowed to him, almost fell, trying to give a deep bow.

Catching her midfall, Adam explained to her and the girls that were there at the time, that it wasn't necessary to bow to him as he wasn't Royalty nor their leader.

Ignoring the rest of Homunculi's weird behavior, Adam reached the bathhouse that was in the mansion. He had yet to use the facility as he knew he'd be attacked by Xenovia if he'd try and use it while she was here, which was most of the time. But with her not being in the house at the moment, he decided it was a perfect opportunity to use it.

Opening the door, he didn't attempt to sense any other signatures inside but his choice came back and kicked him in the face as he made eye contact with Mikasa who was sitting inside the body of water.

Both of them froze as their eyes connected, Mikasa wanted to get up and walk out but she was still stunned by the situation.

"My bad, I can come in later," Adam said, breaking her out of her solid-state.

"No it's fine, I don't mind" she quickly replied, covering herself with her hands as much as she could.

Accepting the offer given to him, Adam cleaned himself before entering the water. Instead of sitting far away from her, he sat right to her. He didn't particularly mind someone seeing his body, as he had already gotten used to it, but he knew that he was the weird one in this situation so he paid close attention so that he didn't make Mikasa feel awkward.

"It's been a while since we've been alone," Adam said in a reminiscent tone.

"Yeah, it feels as if there's someone new joining us every other day. It makes me miss the days where I would help you with your manga in that small apartment" Mikasa added, with a sad tone in her voice.

Picking up on her emotions Adam couldn't help but feel guilty. "I never thought the girl I decided to help would stay with me and become the person closest to me," he said as he leaned his head back and stared at the roof. "Matter of fact, most of the decisions I've recently made, are something that the past me would have never done. Back then, getting attached to other people was something I deemed to be impossible" he continued to reminisce.

Mikasa didn't know where he was trying to head with the conversation, but she didn't mind listening to Adam talk as long as he wanted to.

"In all seriousness..." Adam got serious out of nowhere, his reminiscent look nowhere to be found." I'm sorry" he said, turning to look at her. Her dark grey eyes meeting his light gold eyes.

"It's fine, even if I did find you first, it would be incredibly hard for me to keep you to myself, and I had already known that things would turn out this way. There are many memories that only belong to you and me, so as long as I can keep those, then it's alright" she replied, already knowing what he was talking about.

"Thank you," Adam sincerely replied to her.

He didn't know how to express his gratitude towards her, she had been the most important thing in her life for the longest and unlike other people's opinion of him, her opinion of what he did and what she thought of him, played a large part in the choices he made. She put up with waiting for years for him to figure out things everyone else would already know, and for that, he would forever be grateful. With all the reasons why Mikasa was the greatest thing to happen to him, he didn't notice his body leaning towards Mikasa.

Mikasa could feel how Adam was feeling just by the fact that he was looking at her with eyes she had never seen before, they were filled with love and compassion. With her love for him already being as high as possible she leaned towards him, closing her eyes and preparing for what was to come.

Their faces getting closer and closer, almost as if they were opposite sides of a manner, with nothing in their way they were finally able to connect. Their heartbeats, synchronized with each other's, dancing from happiness, almost as if they knew what was to come. Mikasa's mind began working overtime, trying to comprehend all the different emotions erupting in her heart. Adam's breath hitting her face, and her enjoying every last second of it. The large bath, as empty and lonely as it was, the two people inside of it, at that moment couldn't be compared to it. Adam coming out of his trance saw what was happening, but before he could do anything, he was enchanted by Mikasa's beautiful expression, he had never seen her face shine as much as it was right now. Without him realizing it, their lips were connected, signifying the end of an arc in their relationship.

Both of them, entranced by the taste of their partner, were in a world of their own. Mikasa's mouth was invaded by a tongue that was in search of its own partner. Once meeting, they joined in the dancing to the sound of heartbeats.

Mikasa's arms soon found themselves gripping around Adam's neck, as she moved towards his lap, tightening the grip around his neck, bringing them as close as they could be. Her breast which she stopped hiding, what seemed like ages ago, pressing on Adam's chest, her mind was filled with fireworks going off with the feeling of Adam's hands hovering over the skin in her waist adding more fuel to her neverending explosion going on in her brain.

Adam had already left all his reasoning behind the second Mikasa made her way onto his lap, and was now enjoying the comfort he felt as his hands explored her body. The heat, along with the comfort he was receiving could only be described as a drug. He couldn't get enough of what he was feeling.

With their kiss going on for minutes, they only stopped when Mikasa required oxygen. But lucky for her, the face as she quickly took in air and exhaled it, did nothing more than make Adam want her more than he already did. So with only a couple of seconds of a break, Adam once again connected with her. But new to both of them, Adam's right hand found itself moving on its own towards Mikasa's chest. Slipping its way between both of their bodies like a snake and coming to a stop as it reached an obstacle. Cupping his hand, Adam slightly squeezed his hand getting an immediate reaction out of Mikasa.

Feeling a stronger sensation than she had felt the entire time Mikasa released an erotic moan "Ahhhn..." it was a sound she had never heard coming from herself. Her face immediately turned tomato red with her ears being no exception.

Now, with both of them being out of their trance, Adam began to lightly laugh at her embarrassed expression with Mikasa only being able to hide her face on his chest.

Adam picked up his hand and began to stroke her hair, with his fingers splitting it apart as if it were a curtain.

Regaining a little bit of her composure, Mikasa continued to stare at Adam's chest but now she had a smile on her face for a completely different reason.

"We should get out, it's bad if you stay in water for too long," Adam said as he picked up Mikasa in a princess carry and placed her down by where her stuff was.

"And I was enjoying my bath before you came in," she told him with a fake disappointed voice.

He could tell she was joking so he could only laugh at how fake she made it sound.

Joining with his laughter, Mikasa had a smile on her face.

Adam had the clothes he was going to change into so he left the bath, fully dressed for bed, unlike Mikasa who only dried herself and wrapped a robe on herself.

Opening the closed doors, Adam was a bit shocked by the fact that there were two Homunculi with their ears next to the door. He had obviously caught them off-guard since they were slow in reacting.

"It was for research purposes" the taller of the two was the first to talk.

The other one wasn't as advanced as her sister so she could only nod her head in agreement to her statement.

Shaking his head in disbelief, Adam looked back at Mikasa, curious as to how she would react, but as normal she had a neutral expression with only the tiniest of red on her cheeks.

"Just don't do it again" Adam warned them but was able to determine that they had learned nothing by getting caught.

After the small incident, Adam told the two girls to move along and continued walking with Mikasa until they both reached their rooms. But that didn't mean much as Mikasa would probably be making her way towards his room after she finished changing.

Opening the door, he didn't see anyone else in his room, so without any hesitation, he threw himself onto his bed and covered himself with his blanket, quickly passing out.
