59 The Epic Battle.

The last event in the tri-wizard tournament had been delayed by a couple months. Due to some 'world events' that had been going on.

The mundane governments and the wizarding world had started to go into talks after an increase in aggression by certain wizard families. It became increasingly clear that the wizards were going to be on the losing end of any conflict. Sure, their magic had some insane implications such as controlling an individual or teleporting away. But how would that fare when the governments could work together and literally track someone from across the world. The governments were more prone to lend each other aid when a new 'power' threatened their stability.

In these few months, more and more students came to ichigo's group and asked them about the mundane world. Ichigo explained previously that they kept the moonlit world a secret in their home out of safety for the mundanes. They didn't have some superiority complex about being stronger than others and they actually went to a 'normal' highschool. Albeit one run by devils. This raised a few questions among those that heard.

It got to the point where they would gather in an empty classroom every couple of days and hold a 'common sense' class for the wizards.

Talking about the moon landing really opened a few of their eyes.

There were also a few who attended that couldn't let go of their egos. Saying something like "out flying a muggle air machine" on a broom stick was quickly explained to the group how absurd such a notion was.

It seemed as though everyone got over the groups respective identities and they were approached and talked to consistently. From mundane things to just random stuff about japan. The group were even happy to answer some more personal questions since the wizards were finally getting their heads of out their asses.

Dumbledore had barely been able to stay at Hogwarts these past few months. His high position in certain organizations pretty much forced him into meetings and appearances at certain political events. When he wasn't shaking hands and explaining the wizarding way of life to mundanes, he was trying to catch up on over a hundred years of history and technology so not to be a laughing stock when he went to negotiate with various governing bodies.

There were talks of having some mundanes who were aware of the wizarding world come to various schools and teach the 'standard' classes such as math, science, and history. A certain group was VERY against the idea, a group that had lost many of its members due to some terrorist plotting. Though their voices became rather weak when the 'mundanes' presented modern technology to various high leveled members of the wizard community.

There were speculations that in another few decades, their worlds would no longer be segregated.

The various governing bodies welcomed certain aspects of the wizarding world, a 'truth serum' would do wonders for the justice system. Though they also had quite a few reservations regarding certain mind control and memory wipe magic. There was still quite a bit of red tape to shift through and back up plans to be made.

Dumbledore wasn't the only one experiencing the headache that Ichigo's group had brought upon the world. The other headmasters were also running around in their spheres of influence. As more situations and negotiations were happening, those with a lot of power and authority but who were not part of the governments started to find out information that had been leaked. They tried to stick their hands into the cookie jar. More conflicts arose, mundanes were trying to steal various 'technology' from the wizards and vice versa.

It was actually a heart warming moment seeing wizards and military personnel fighting together against these 'terrorists' as the government labeled them to keep some semblance of secrecy.

When the next task had finally arrived, the world welcomed the break from dealing with political issues. At this point, various governing bodies even sent a representative to watch the event.

One objectively good thing that came from all this intermingling, the various wizard brewers had gained a foothold in the mundane market, albeit only those who knew about the world. The mundanes had taken to the various wizarding alcohol almost immediately. Several barrels were kept on tap at the White House and other government buildings.

It was odd how quickly each side had taken to one another. There was expected to be quite a bit of backlash and fighting on both sides of the governments.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The final task in the tri-wizard tournament would be a maze run. There would be obstacles and monsters between you and the goal.

There were very little rules, you couldn't directly attack another participant, you couldn't fly over the maze, and you couldn't use magic to show you the correct path to take, though the maze would shift constantly.

To Ichigo's surprise, there had been a points system from the previous two tasks. He was in the lead and thus he was given a head start.

There was magic in place that set up 'screens' that showed the participants. Almost like large monitors.

As the participants were lined up at the start of the maze, Ichigo was motioned to go in first and start.

After seeing how fast he was previously, the other participants were basically ignoring him and vying for second place.

Ichigo smiled as he drew Zangetsu and stepped into the maze.

"That idiot" Rukia said as she face palmed.

The people around her looked on in confusion.

"Getsuga Tenshō" Ichigo said as he swung his blade horizontally. He eviscerated almost the entire maze before the energy blade dissipated.

There were no rules about destroying the maze. Everyone watched on as he calmly walked towards the trophy that was sitting at the end of the maze. Various monster parts could be seen in the remnants of the maze.

The other participants just look on and sighed.

Ichigo walked to the trophy with a shit eating grin on his face. As he touched it, he was suddenly teleport away.

The magic that was still broadcasting showed that Ichigo was now in a graveyard.

As he looked around, he noticed several dozen figures cloaked in black with one standing predominantly.

"Nice of you to finally join us, Harry Potter." The head figure said as he removed his hood.

The crowd went silent and everyone other than Ichigo's group became tense. Most of them recognized the man, he looked a bit different without certain facial features but his picture was shown around the world several years ago.

"Voldemort" people started to whisper.

Back at Ichigo, he was just staring at the weird person in confusion.

"I'm sure you're confused at this whole situation." Voldemort said with a bit of theatrics.

"I'm more confused as to why you have no nose" Ichigo retorted.

"A confidant façade until the end, huh potter?" Voldemort responded, a bit peeved at his remark. It was hard to regain his body, several of his minions had to be sacrificed and there were many dark rituals involved.

Voldemort had a short temper these past few months, every since Ichigo's group had come, the world had been thrown into chaos. His ranks were decreased quite heavily when they 'went to war' or so they told themselves to stroke their own egos, since they got destroyed by the 'muggles'. He was having trouble keeping his minions in line, they started to fear the man less and less as Ichigo's group displayed their power and ability. And the revelations of beings even higher on the food chain really put a nail in the coffin for some of them. They really started to question the point of their 'pure' wizard bloodline.

Frankly, those who were with him were the last remnants of his death eaters. The ones too afraid or stupid to embrace the changes that were happening in the world.

Voldemort himself refused to believe any of this 'propaganda' created by the mudbloods. The irony of him being a mudblood himself seemed to go over his head.

Ichigo just put his blade away at the mans remark, he kinda lost interest in the weird faced idiot.

"Giving up Potter, I heard you waive around a muggle weapon but are you not even to put up a semblance of resistance?" Voldemort mused.

Ichigo ignored him as he took out his phone and called Jaina.

"Sup, you seeing this shit?" Ichigo said to jaina who had answered her phone in front of all the teachers present.

"Yeah we're watching you stand in front of some weird nose-less guy" Jaina responded.

At this point the teachers realized they talking on some sort of communication device.

"Right!? His nose is just creepy. I feel bad for staring at it." Ichigo responded, ignoring the presence of the deatheaters and Voldemort.

Voldemort was a bit stunned at what he was doing, he could vaguely hear a voice on the other end of the 'device' and assumed he was talking to someone.

"So anyways, thought you may be bored and wanted to know if you wanted this one?" Ichigo asked.

"How kind, I wouldn't mind stretching my legs so to speak. I'll be there in a moment" Jaina responded as she hung up.

The audience could hear the conversation due to the magic that was still cast on Ichigo.

"Miss Proudmoore, quickly take me to him, I can hold off voldemort while you take the boy to safety" Dumbledore urged.

"Calm down, it will be over shortly." Jaina said with a smile as she teleport herself to Ichigo's location at the surprise of everyone present.

"Oh jeese, its worse up close" Jaina said, covering her eyes slightly.

"Right!?" Ichigo responded.

"I WILL NOT TAKE ANYMORE DISRESPECT, I AM LORD VOLDEMORT AND I WILL…." He started shouting as a hard snowball hit him in the face.

Jaina had conjured a snowball and threw it at him.

Voldemort was stunned, the wizards watching were stunned. They had a fear etched into them from his previous rein of terror of the wizarding world, and see him treated in such a way…it left them breathless.

"GET HER" Voldemort roared as he regained his composure.

The wizards behind Voldemort moved forward with their wands drawn, they were about to cast spells as Jaina made the first move.

"Mass Polymorph" She said as all the death eaters were turned into sheep.

Voldemort and the world were staring in confusion. She had effortlessly just turned dozens of humans into animals.

"I wasn't sure if there would be a change, considering they were already mindless sheep." Jaina said with a chuckle.

"You…..you think this is a game?" Voldemort yelled in anger and slight fear.

He raised his wand, "AVADA C…." He was about to cast.

"Counter spell" Jaina said as the magic on Voldemorts spell was forcefully obstructed, the spell became volatile as it rebounded through the wand, causing it to explode in his hand.

Voldemort was just staring at his hand, he couldn't comprehend what was happening.

While he was lost in thought, Jaina walked over and smacked him across the head with her staff, knocking her out.

"That was fun." Jaina said, as the world finally regained their composure. They watched how she had effortless dealt with one of the greatest terrors in wizarding history.

She snapped her fingers and a portal opened up, connecting the graveyard to the stadium. Several teachers and other personnel came through to apprehend all the criminals.

The situation died down pretty fast. Considering everything else that had happened the past several months, the world quickly lost interest. The group stayed at Hogwarts for another month or so to finish the school year out. Rukia was sure that she got the most out of her time alone with Ichigo. The wizards noticed a distinct lack of energy in the Shinigami as he walked the halls.

As the students were leaving Hogwarts for summer vacation, so too did Ichigo's group leave. They wanted to avoid Dumbledore, he seemed a bit insistent that a prophecy dictated Ichigo kill Voldemort. He tried to strong arm the group into staying, citing that Dumbledore was the legal guardian of Ichigo and therefore he couldn't leave.

"Make me." Was Ichigo's response, to which Dumbledore couldn't retort.

Jaina had quickly opened a portal and they went back to the house they stayed at in Japan, Zelretch had mentioned he would pick them up when they were ready to leave.

It didn't take long for the vampire to join the group, he had been watching almost the entire time.

He walked through one of his gaudy portals, on his head was the Sorting hat, and on his shoulder was Fawkes. Both of which were apparently happy to be 'stolen'. Fawks flew over and sat on top of Ichigo's head again, while the sorting had started to sing a song out of happiness.

Zelretch opened another portal as both a shrunken 3 headed dog and a Gryphon were pulled through. They were about the size of a regular dog. He copied the magic that was used for those miniature dragons Ichigo had experience previously.

Though it seemed as if both creatures could grow back to their full size on a whim.

'Fluffy', the 3 headed dog happily jumped into Saber's lap while 'Chappy' the Gryphon whom Rukia named, perched on her shoulder.

The sorting hat had been given access to Zelretch's mind, and an odd thing occurred. Apparently, the hat had reached root somehow. He was now a practitioner of the Kaleidoscope. Zelretch happily took him on as an apprentice. The hat seemed to evolve into a fully sentient being, no longer a construct. Technically, the sorting hat would be classified as a phantasmal beast. As the sorting hat linked himself up to all other versions of himself across the multiverse, chaos ensued on a cosmic level.

The clock tower would no longer be safe with this duo combined, The magi would have to refer to the hat sincerely as a True magician. Both of them were giddy at the reactions that would occur. The sorting hat was most eager to meet those Magical Girl wands he saw in Zelretch's memories.

As the group just soaked in all the information, Zelretch opened up a few portals and the other half of Ichigo's peerage fell through.

"Ready for the next adventure?" Zelretch said with a smile and the Hat started to laugh ominously.
