Ingredients:
- Nori sheets (seaweed)
- Cooked sushi rice
- Assorted fruits of choice (e.g., mango, banana, strawberry, kiwi)
- Cream cheese (optional)
- Honey or sweet sauce for drizzling
- Cinnamon sugar mixture for sprinkling
- Cooking oil or butter for greasing
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish or sheet.
2. Lay a sheet of nori flat on a clean surface and spread a thin layer of sushi rice evenly over it.
3. If desired, spread a thin layer of cream cheese over the rice for added creaminess.
4. Arrange slices of assorted fruits in a row along one edge of the nori, leaving a small space at the edge to seal the roll.
5. Drizzle a little honey or sweet sauce over the fruits for added sweetness.
6. Carefully roll the nori and rice tightly around the fruit, similar to rolling a traditional sushi roll.
7. Place the fruit sushi roll in the greased baking dish or sheet, and repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.
8. Lightly brush the tops of the rolls with cooking oil or melted butter.
9. Bake the fruit sushi rolls in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the nori becomes crispy and the rice is heated through.
10. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
11. Sprinkle the tops of the rolls with a cinnamon sugar mixture for added flavor and a touch of sweetness.
12. Slice the baked fruit sushi rolls into bite-sized pieces and serve warm.
