55 Chapter 55: Arrangements

Atop the Mt. Koifushi, Yamahiko had two spindle-shaped metal projectiles before him, each weighing around four kilograms.

Yamahiko extended his left hand, and the projectiles hovered in front of him. As he released a tremendous amount of energy from his arm, the projectiles began to spin in the air.

Swish.

Once their speed reached its peak, the magnetic field controlled by Yamahiko changed, giving the projectiles a massive thrust, causing them to shoot out rapidly.

Boom.

A flash disappeared, and a tremendous sound echoed in the distance, with smoke filling the air not far away.

Yamahiko walked closer to the explosion's site, which happened to be a section of a rocky wall on the Mt. Koifushi. The wall now had a massive crater, with the shells vanishing deep within. At the outer edge of the rock, there was a hole with a diameter of about four centimeters. However, as it went deeper, the diameter gradually decreased until it extended far into the distance, reaching depths of ten meters or more.

Because the hardness of the rock wall wasn't particularly high, most of the electromagnetic cannon's energy pierced through it.

Yamahiko was highly satisfied with the power of the cannon. If these projectiles hit a person, they could easily penetrate them.

If the body's hardness was higher, such as reaching the level of the Arrancar's steel skin, the energy of the projectiles would hit a single point, causing massive destruction.

Furthermore, the speed was extremely fast, reaching approximately six times the speed of sound.

So, it was quite challenging for a human body to defend against the electromagnetic cannon.

Moreover, Yamahiko's spiritual energy(reiryoku) consumption was minimal. The part of his spiritual energy used primarily went into creating the magnetic field for acceleration and maintaining the projectiles' suspension in the air.

The projectiles he used for testing only weighed around 4 kilograms. Compared to test projectiles used by some nations, which weighed around 10.4 kilograms, his projectiles were much lighter. Even so, a 10-kilogram projectile could achieve about seven times the speed of sound, and Yamahiko's speed was still too slow.

He didn't need an energy source system; he just needed to build a cannon and an energy conversion system. This greatly increased efficiency.

So, if he constructed a cannon and improved the transformation of electrical energy into a magnetic field, spiritual energy consumption would decrease, power would increase, and speed would become even faster.

With his current energy, how powerful could the weapon become if he converted all of it into electrical energy to launch metal projectiles with the assistance of a massive electro magnetic cannon?

Yamahiko believed that a speed of around 6,000 meters per second should be attainable, unleashing immense kinetic energy that could destroy anything.

He could easily craft such a weapon and use it against Aizen, as long as it didn't target him after gaining the immortality of the Hōgyoku.

However, this required an extremely high level of craftsmanship. The metallic materials for the cannon had to meet strict requirements. Given the current technological direction in the world of the living, it was nearly impossible to achieve such a feat.

So, Yamahiko decided to look up some information to discuss the feasibility of the experiment.

If he couldn't build a large-scale electro magnetic cannon, it wouldn't be worthwhile to use it. Accelerating any metal projectile required substantial energy and acceleration time.

During the process of converting his energy and accelerating the projectiles, the enemy could react, dodge in time, and make Yamahiko's electromagnetic cannon less effective.

They might not be faster than the electromagnetic cannon, but by evading in advance, they could reduce the impact of Yamahiko's electromagnetic cannon.

Yamahiko could increase the release speed by reducing the mass of the projectile, but this would lower the power of the electromagnetic cannon, which wouldn't be worth it.

However, it could still serve as a means of diversion and surprise attacks.

After making up his mind, Yamahiko returned to Mt. Koifushi to continue training other abilities.

Streaks of lightning radiated from Yamahiko's left hand, eventually taking form and transforming into a small bird. The bird appeared in the palm of his hand, and with a quick flick, it shot out forward.

The bird collided with a rock, exploding with a resounding boom, leaving a large crater in the rock.

Seeing this scene, Yamahiko seemed somewhat disappointed. However, shortly after, multiple blue birds began to emerge around his body, with more than a dozen in total.

Intense explosions echoed, creating craters on the rocky wall, which eventually joined together to form a cave.

Chidori.

Yamahiko decided to name this move "Chidori," inspired by the technique from Naruto. In Naruto, Chidori was a Lightning Release jutsu named for the sound it made, resembling the chirping of a thousand birds. But Yamahiko's Chidori was different—it was comprised of a sufficient number of birds that could explode.

However, his current Chidori only had a dozen or so birds. Even if Yamahiko exhausted all his spiritual energy, he could only gather around a hundred birds.

At this moment, a voice came from behind, "You rascal, you've made a mess of the mountaintop again."

Seeing the newcomer, Yamahiko smiled slightly and called out, "Kaien-senpai."

Kaien Shiba walked over, looking at the mess on the ground, and said, "As punishment, help me with a little favor."

"What's the task?" Yamahiko asked curiously.

Kaien Shiba smiled and said, "It's about Rukia Kuchiki..."

Upon hearing Kaien's words, Yamahiko agreed to his request it was not just because Kaien Shiba asking; it also involved Rukia, who was his friend, and he had to help her.

Of course, it wasn't anything too significant. After Rukia Kuchiki joined the team, she didn't take the graduation exam due to her noble status, which led to others often gossiping about her behind her back. This made Rukia very unhappy, especially with the added coldness displayed by Byakuya Kuchiki. This put Rukia in a bad mood.

Kaien knew he had a good relationship with Rukia Kuchiki and hoped Yamahiko could provide some encouragement.

Of course, being in this environment, if Rukia Kuchiki wanted to completely move on, she would have to rely on herself, with Yamahiko providing only indirect support.

On the other hand, Kaien required Yamahiko's attention at all times.

During this period, Yamahiko and Kaien often crossed paths, occasionally engaging in battles. The results of these battles were mostly evenly matched, although Yamahiko didn't use his Zanpakuto, only relying on Shunko.

Yamahiko's abilities were effective against Kaien. Once he activated his Shikai, victory came quite easily.

In his spare time, Yamahiko would sometimes chat with Kaien, but the conversation was almost always about Rukia.

Rukia Kuchiki still hadn't mastered her Shikai at this point. However, her Zanpakuto abilities were quite powerful, demanding a high level of personal skill.

Yamahiko and Kaien became friends, but Yamahiko felt a weight in his heart, considering Kaien eventual fate and that of his wife, both killed by Metastacia. Both were important assets to the Gotei 13.

Especially Kaien, an unparalleled genius. Whether he had mastered Bankai or not was unknown, but with 40 more years of development, he would undoubtedly achieve Bankai.

Yamahiko decided to save them, but he had no idea how Metastacia would appear.

At this point, the role of the detention unit was essential. The team had responsibilities for investigating, arresting, and analyzing.

So, Yamahiko could arrange for someone to monitor  Miyako Shiba. As long as she left the Seireitei with her entourage, they would notify him.

  Miyako Shiba was the third seat, and she rarely dealt with Hollows. Moreover, if  Miyako Shiba's entire team was wiped out, it would surely involve a large number of enemies.

With these two conditions in place, Yamahiko could effectively identify the prelude to her being attacked and intervene accordingly.

After making up his mind, Yamahiko went back and arranged for the selection of the investigation team members. He instructed them not to get too close for surveillance, but to keep tabs on her whereabouts.
