Chapter 21

"Run!" I yelled out as our little group did exactly what I said.

The thing about our method of travel towards Soul Society, it had a giant monster train of shadows with a single light called Kototsu that will kill anyone who touches it. Not to mention the sticky goo like substance on the walls that tried to get closer and trap us forever for the Kototsu called Kōryu as well.

Zero out of ten, I would not recommend such a travel option to anyone.

"Don't slow down, we are almost there!" Yoruichi shouted with her masculine cat voice as the damn ghost train started to get even closer to us and I could see that Ishida's clothes were getting a bit too close to the Kōryu for comfort.

"Chad, take Orihime." I yelled at the gentle giant among our midst and Chad being a Chad, didn't question me. He simply scooped the well endowed girl in his arms and continued to run with her on his shoulder, not slowing at all.

Me? I too did something similar but far less enjoyable. I scooped Ishida and ran like hell while carrying him like a fireman, not caring about any of his complaints.

And that's how we ended up getting out of that little slice of death dimension which Urahara had the gall to call 'method of travel' but that created another problem since we ended up exiting…

"AAAAAHHHH!"

…in the god damned sky. Cause why would we ever get to do things normally when we can do weird?

Fortunately we didn't have to fall to our, more like everyone but mine, certain death from the sky since Orihime had pulled out her orange triangle barrier and used it as a platform for all of us.

If I ever get back to my original world, I would find every Orihime hater and beat the crap out of them. It might teach them that our little angel was NOT useless.

"It seems like we have managed to land safely." Yoruichi had a rather impressive talent for stating the obvious, and making it sound impressive with her super masculine voice.

Can't wait for the moment she returns to being a drop dead gorgeous bombshell.

"So is this Soul Society?" Ichigo asked as he looked around us and he likely came to the same conclusion as I did.

This place was a dump.

The people around were all wearing dirty and worn down clothes and seemed to live in houses mad out of wood in a rough way with some parts already showing wear and tears on them.

If this was supposed to be Heaven then one had to imagine how shitty hell had to be.

"Yes, this place here is the first district of west Rukongai." Yoruichi said as she hopped down from her place on Orihime's barrier turned platform.

"Is this where Shinigami live?" The orange headed Shinigami asked as he kept looking at his surroundings, almost as if searching for some guy with a black kimono and swords.

"No, Shinigami live in Seireitei over there along with the noble families. Here in Rukongai, only normal souls reside. Rukongai is divided into four for East, West, South and North while each of them are divided into eighty districts. Also, THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" the black feline's lecture was cut short as she realized that Ichigo was no longer listening but running towards the Seireitei instead.

"What? That's where Shinigami live, so Rukia should be there right?" He yelled from over his shoulder, not caring about any lectures from felines.

"You can't just..." whatever Yoruichi wanted to say was cut short by the giant walls falling down and circling Seireitei, which might have been what she had wanted to say.

After that Jidanbō, the giant Shinigami with axes and a fez on his head, landed before Ichigo and started to talk about how he never let anyone through the door for more than a century and something about how nobody should eat food that has fallen on the ground and that one should wash their hands after coming home.

The guy honestly felt more like a One Piece character rather than a Bleach one. But the fez was cool so I could forgive that.

"Thank you for helping me back there." Ishida said to me as we watched Ichigo duel with the gargantuan Shinigami, fending off the giant axes with his butcher knife like sword.

"Do not mention it." I said as the orange headed Shinigami continued to block the axe strikes. I had a half mind interfering but I wanted to see exactly how good Ichigo handled his sword. Seeing it in anime and manga was different than real life.

Not to mention derailing canon in this instance could lead to us not meeting Shiba Kuukaku and her impressive bust so, nope. Not interfering.

"Can I ask you something?" The bespectacled Quincy asked me but this time he looked... flustered somewhat.

"Sure."

"When you picked me up when that train thing was coming... did I even weigh anything to you?" Ishida asked and I had to use a lot of self control to not laugh as I answered.

"Nope. It was like picking up a couple of grapes." I said as the young Quincy slouched down with a depressed look around him.

Guess even with all of his training in order to protect his pride as a Quincy, he had nothing to protect his pride as a man.

I had a half mind saying that to his face and make fun of him but I had not chance to do so as Jidanbō started to cry a literal river because Ichigo's attack had been too strong and wrecked both of his axes.

Then Ichigo had somehow comforted the gargantuan Shinigami and because of that Jidanbō claimed that Ichigo was greater than him both as a warrior and as a man. Opening the door as a reward for the orange headed warrior's victory over him.

"Ahhh, this is not allowed you know~." And of corse that was the cue for a stray silver fox to appear.
