Chapter 116 Two exorcists from the church

Venelana sighed when she thought about her eldest son. How could he get so messed up in the head? 

She couldn't help but wonder what had gone wrong in his life to lead him down such a troubled path. Despite her love and support, she struggled to understand the choices he had made and longed for him to find peace and happiness.

He made mistakes and choked it up, as it was all for the greater good.

"Sigh. What am I going to do with him? He is beyond saving now. I needed to tell Ichigo-kun about this."

Venelana was very happy when Ichigo decided to help Rias and her daughter fall in love with him. At least her daughter would be happy. 

She hoped that Ichigo's presence would bring some positive change into their lives.

And now her son wanted to destroy everything that she had worked so hard for. She wouldn't allow him to ruin everything.

Furina and Neuvillette looked at two exorcists in front of them.

"It looks like we can't give it to him in time."

Neuvillette spoke to Furina, to which she nodded. These two exorcists tried to cut them without even speaking to them. They said all devils are evils. But she wasn't even fully devil!

"Give it back to us; otherwise, we will kill you."

The exorcist with blue hair and big boobs said it with a stern expression. 

Furina and Neuvillette exchanged glances, knowing that reasoning with these exorcists would be futile. They wanted to kill them without even considering the possibility that they were not evil.

"I will not give it to you exorcists. Even if I wanted to give it to you, you would try to kill me anyway.

Furina said bravely, her voice filled with resoluteness. She hid very well that she was actually a coward. 

Neuvillette, on the other hand, remained silent, his eyes glowing with power. He was a dragon, and dragons didn't like threats.

The two exorcists saw that, and they were about to attack Furina and Neuvillette to get back the holy sword, but before they could make a move, a powerful gust of wind swept through the clearing, causing the exorcists to stumble back. 

A mysterious figure emerged from the shadows, their presence commanding and intimidating. 

"Stop"

He stood between them and released his power. Both sides came to a stop.

Furina felt relieved that someone really came to stop them, while the two exorcists became wary of the newcomer's powerful presence.

"This town is in the jurisdiction of the Shinigami. How dare the people of the church come here and try to harm the innocent?"

The newcomer declared with a commanding voice. His words echoed through the air, causing a ripple of spiritual energy to fill the atmosphere.

"Leave now, or face the consequences." 

Two exorcists didn't think that this place was in the jurisdiction of the Shinigami. They got information that this town was in the jurisdiction of the devils. 

They exchanged a skeptical glance, unsure of the newcomer's authority. 

However, the intensity of his spiritual energy left them momentarily speechless, questioning their previous beliefs. Could it be possible that they had been misinformed?

But how could they back down now?

"Innocent? They are devils. Their existence is a threat to humanity. They needed to be wiped out."

The Shinigami's duty was to maintain balance between the realms, and eliminating the devils seemed like one way to achieve that.

The Shinigami's expression changed.

"That's right. They are evil. Please let us perform our duty, and after that, we will leave this town in peace."

Furina saw that, and she was about to say something. But she didn't have to because the two exorcists who wanted to kill her were pressed to the ground by Shinigami's spiritual power. 

They were rendered completely powerless, unable to move or even speak. 

The Shinigami's eyes glowed with an otherworldly intensity as they turned their attention towards Furina.

"Have no fear, for I am here. You might be a devil, but I can feel that you are not in the wrong here. This town is under my protection and you will be under my protection too."

Furina felt a wave of relief wash over her as she listened to the Shinigami's reassuring words. 

She had never expected that the Shinigami would be on her side. Of course, she knew that he was Ophis's champion. The one she tried to find. He would help her because they were in the same organization.

Furina didn't know that the Shinigami that she thought was in the same organization wasn't really in the organization. And he didn't even know her.

It was Ophis fault for not explain anything to him and just deside to make him her champion.
