84 Chapter 84: Assessment
Takashi steps back to the South Gate carrying Oetsu's body. His eyes looking to the members of the 7th looking at him with smiles.
His eyes going over the remaining Hollows from atop of it. The last Hollow body falling to the floor as a Shinigami cuts it down.
"Starrk. Go hunt any Hollows that escaped. Ulquiorra and Matsuri will go with you." Takashi says as he looks over the injuries on his members.
"Your Bankai…" Lord Seigen says as he looks over Takashi. "You've grown into a fine young man." His voice says holding his emotions.
"Thank you, Lord Seigen." Takashi says with a smile.
"You've completed the mission." Yamamoto says appearing beside Takashi as he looks out from the gate. His eyes focusing on Takashi ignoring the body of Oetsu. His eyes holding a hint of pride but looks back towards the Seireitei.
He shakes his head.
Takashi looks towards the remaining members. "Tier you're in charge of clean up procedure here. Grimmjow go inform the East wall to meet at the Captain's Hall. Hei go to the North and inform them of the same. Nemu go to the West."
The three nod as they step off in their directions. A loud thud sounds out as Gin's unconscious body falls to the floor beside Takashi. Ichigo walking over to Takashi and smiles. Before he can respond Komamura returns with Tosen on his shoulder unconscious.
"Ichigo, Komamura. Keep an eye on them. Don't let them run away." Takashi says to the two who nod. "Urahara, Tessai, and Yoruichi please come with us to the Hall."
The two smile and nod.
Takashi lets out a sigh as he heads for the Captain's Hall with Yamamoto, Urahara and Yoruichi.
After a few minutes Zaraki lands on the gate as he looks towards the crew cleaning up.
"Where'd everyone go?" He asks Ichigo and Komamura.

(Captain's Hall)
Takashi lets out a sigh as he looks towards the door as Zaraki barges through.
"Now that everyone is here, we can start." Yamamoto says looking over to Takashi.
Yoruichi standing beside him holding his arm with a smile. Urahara standing behind them trying to hide from the glare aimed at him by Soi-Fon.
Takashi starts to speak. "Aizen invaded the Seireitei with an army of Hollows and Arrancars…" He continues to explain the invasion. "We've defeated the invading force including the leaders."
"They attempted to prevent the captains in the Human realm from returning to the Seireitei in time to assist in the invasion. Luckily, we had some assistance that allowed the others to return quickly."
His eyes moving to Shinji, Rojuro, and Kensei. "Thank you three for your assistance." Takashi says with a smile to them.
Shinji nods slightly. Rojuro smiles widely and Kensei maintains a small smile.
A hand pinching him as he glances to his side to the smiling Yoruichi.
"Thank you as well. Urahara, Tessai and Yoruichi. We couldn't have returned to Soul Society in time without you three." He says.
Takashi looks towards the remaining captains. "Status report on the remaining walls as well as the Seireitei."
"The Hollows at the West Gate have been handled. As well as the Arrancars." Byakuya says.
"The East Gate has no remaining forces." Shunsui speaks for the group.
"The North Gate has been handled." Kensei says stoically.
Takashi nods as he looks to Yamamoto.
The old man lets out a slight smile that he replaces quickly with his stoic gaze. "The First Division has handled the assassins in the Seireitei." His hand lifting. "Enter." He says as Sasakibe, the lieutenant of the first, enters the room.
"Report on the assassins." Yamamoto says to his lieutenant.
Sasakibe nods. "A group of former Shinigami acted inside the Seireitei during the chaos. Their targets being the noble households."
The room turns a bit chilly as Byakuya looks at the man. Yoruichi's grip around Takashi tightens a slight bit.
"The Central 46 and many of the noble houses were killed. The surviving families are the Kuchiki, Shiba, Tsunayashiro, Suzunami and Shihoin households."
Yoruichi leans into Takashi with a sigh of relief and Byakuya nods slightly.
"The fifth great noble house has been wiped out as well?" Takashi asks.
"Yes, Captain Kudo." Sasakibe says with a nod.
Takashi nods and looks towards Yamamoto.
Yamamoto starts tapping his finger on his cane. "I will be stepping down from the position of Captain Commander of the Gotei 13."
The room turns silent as they stare at the old man.
"Old man you're retiring? I thought you weren't planning on it for a while…" Shunsui says with a slight frown.
"Captain Kudo will be the new Captain Commander." Yamamoto says as he looks at Takashi who nods slightly.
"…" The captains of the Gotei 13 look between the two and look at Takashi with a slight smile.
"Well if there's anyone that can replace you it's him." Shunsui says smiling. 'Less work for me…'
Jushiro shakes his head at Shunsui knowing the thought running through his head.
"Congratulation, Captain Kudo." Toshiro says will a smile. Byakuya nods while maintaining a smile.
Yamamoto puts on a smirk and hides it as he looks away from Takashi. "Good luck." He says walking out the Hall. His cane changed to a fishing rod on his shoulder.
Takashi watches the old man leave and shakes his head. Sasakibe opens the door for him and closes it after he leaves. Sasakibe returns his attention to Takashi who has remained at the 7th captain's spot.
"…I didn't expect him to leave me with all the issues…" Takashi says as he walks to the head of the meeting. "I have to solve the issues, huh?" Takashi mumbles.
"Good luck." Yoruichi whispers to him.
The rest of the Gotei 13 give him a smile.
"Well…" Takashi looks towards the captains. "I'll be acting with the Central 46's authority as well as the Captain Commander of the Gotei 13…"
"Fixing the lack of captains will be my first act." Takashi says as he looks towards Shinji, Rojuro and Kensei. "And now that there's another vacancy…"
"Shinji, Rojuro, and Kensei. Would you three take back up your mantles as captains of the Gotei 13?" Takashi asks.
Rojuro and Kensei look to Shinji.
"What about Lord Suzunami?" Shinji asks.
"Lord Seigen has another position he needs to fill." Takashi says nodding to Shinji.
"What about the rest of our group?" Shinji asks.
"They'll be accepted back if they wish to return. Their status as exiles will be removed." Takashi says nodding towards him.
"I'll do it then." Shinji looks to Rojuro and Kensei. The three nod to each other. "I accept." The three say together.
"That's three spots filled…" Takashi says looking towards Sasakibe.
"Shunsui you'll head the 1st division. Your lieutenants are your choice." Takashi says looking to him.
"Got it, Captain Kudo." Shunsui gives a lazy smirk.
"The new captain of the 8th will be Lisa Yadomaru." Takashi continues through the list he has.
"I will be stepping down from the 7th and taking those who wish to go with me to create a new division." Takashi says his gaze landing on Urahara and Tessai. "You three are no longer exiled as well. Do one of you wish to take up the mantle of the 7th division's captain?" He asks looking at them.
"I've started enjoying living in the human realm." Urahara smiles and Tessai nodding behind him. "We will have to decline."
"I understand." Takashi nods at the duo. "Then Love Aikawa will lead the 7th if he is willing." Takashi calls for a Shinigami to send out for the new captains.
