Chapter 26: Devil

"MOVE DEVIN!" Mother Victoria yelled as she and Mother Vicki carried Kol and placed her in the body of water. "Victoria, can you still do it?" Mother Vicki asked while she helped sit Kol up against the wall of the tub. "The Blood Magic version of healing? Of Course I can. I'm the Victoria Keeler. But even i would need the assistance of my Valkyrie sister's power to maintain her body." She smiled as she snapped the fingers on her left hand.

I stood at the side, confused and lost. I was in shock that I was so weak and useless as i watched Kol suffer in pain. Shreya placed her hand on my shoulder as I watched my mothers doing their thing.

"Do you wish to get stronger?" A voice asked.

"What is the point? I'm still not going to be able to save the world." I responded.

"You cannot save everyone."

" I have to try, for those that can't."

" A ship is going to sink, only half will live. Who do you pick?"

" A few men, mostly women and children, and my family."

" Family? You choose to save your family when you wish to save the world. You are greedy. "

" She's all the reason I live for."

" Live for yourself then. You hypocrite."

"She is the only one. I love her!"

"Are you willing to sacrifice your humanity to save Kol and the world? Or are you going to press on like an idiot?

"What do you want from me?"
