Chapter 11: Home is where the heart belongs

"Who's there!" I yelled looking for the source of the voice.

" Which mother? Hello? Hello! Shit!" the voice was gone. The battle was over, the last giant just fell. Shreya flew over and landed gracefully beside me.

" Let's go home. The garrison team is to return to their post. " I informed the men. I felt lost, confused at the message I was given.

I was about to meet my mother for the first time in 18 years. The last I saw her was about the age of 1 year old.

We arrived back at the village soon after, the whole village was cheering. I scanned the crowd for Kol. She was waving like a little kid from the back of the crowd. I walked over to her with an uncontrollable smile and kissed her on the forehead :" I'm home, just as I have promised."

"Devin, let's go!" Shreya shouted as she landed beside me. "Sorry, but who are you? And how do you know my husband?" Kol asked as she looked at Shreya. "Ohh! Didn't Devin tell you? I am now his property. He has even seen my naked body. He even tortured me." Shreya said with a big smile on her face as she looked over at me. Kol stares at me as I shrugged at her trying to deny that I wasn't cheating on her with Shreya and she had the wrong idea.

"She claims to be a sister I never knew. I'll be gone a couple of days to find out the truth once and for all." I told Kol as she continues to stare.

"Alright! But on one condition! I am coming too! Can't have you bringing back girls from the field and leaving alone with her to find your mother, can I?" She said with a slight pout.
