My heart was in my throat. The tense silence inside the car while we all watched Margaux approach Takahashi told me that everyone must be in the same boat as I was.

But could I have really stopped her?

"You need to trust, Rose. She knows what she's doing." Hanabi murmured, her eyes never leaving the screen, which only offered us a view of Takahashi. The hidden camera was on the zipper of her leather suit. It was too small for anyone to see.

Also, she didn't even put on any earpiece despite my insistence.

"Trust isn't the issue here," Astherielle took a deep breath. "We all know what Takahashi is capable of."

Another tense silence followed after the brief exchange between Astherielle and Hanabi. It was making my insides churn.

Not to add the burning fury I was feeling remembering that Takahashi had my father killed. 

The memory was still freshly embedded inside my head. There was no way I could ever forget what it was like.
