1 prologue

A black haird man walked into a mansion, he walked on the most lavish carpets that were spread on the marble floors. In his hand he held a small baby that was around a couple months old, with scarlet red eyes and black hair like the man who held him. They both shared similar features' even though the boy was only a couple months old you could tell that they were father and son. On the man's shoulder he held up a simple wooden coffin, from his bloodshot eyes streamed down tears. He walked through large double doors made from obsidian. He was exhausted; physically, mentally and emotionally. This was the last stop, the most painful stop.

He walked into a throne room, the white marble ceiling was held up by golden pillars, on the floor was a red carpet with golden trimmings. It led to the obsidian steps. The black stairs on the white floor brought your eyes to the seat of power of this country, the duo throne, one of which was empty. Both thrones were similar one was smaller than the other made from silver and the other was made from gold, but the differences ended there. They both were adorned with jewels and at the very top of each throne was a gem the gold throne had a red crystal in the shape of an oval, but the top end was pointed, and the throne had a slight hum of power. The silver throne's gems were different they were all dull and at the top of the was in the shape of a kite similarly dull to all the rest. Those two gems are called the pupils of Shaan.

Suddenly a burly man with a massive beard walked into the room and when saw the man holding the coffin he stopped. "Oh no. Tian say it isn't so. Tell me that isn't the body of our king you have!"

Tian fell to his knees and placed the coffin as he broke down the tears he's been holding back burst out as he started sobbing "I am so sorry, Denshi. There was nothing I could do. We were ambushed and we were unprepared for that reached place. This is all my fault, I should have stopped him, if only we knew how dangerous it could be, we would never have gone." Denshi pulled Tian to his feet easily and with little effort picked up the coffin. Holding, Tian, the baby and the coffin he left the room as quickly as he came in. The moment they left the golden thrown shrunk and turned silver, the gems turned dull as well.

Denshi carried all 3 to a room protected by 4 guards, they saluted, and Denshi opened the door. Inside was a topless woman with black hair and she was talking to herself "Mummy is right here no need to cry."

Denshi immediately slammed the door shut and then they could hear the cries of a baby from the room. Denshi placed the coffin on the floor and said "This is important put the princess to bed and then I'll come in."

"IT BETTER BE!" the Queen shouted right back.

10 minutes later she opened the door, in a lose night gown, she had no makeup but still looked stunning and the only thing that could be considered a flaw in her physique was the heavy eye bags. Her azure eyes looked down at both Tian and Denshi who were sitting on the floor, she then looked at the child in Tian's arms that was fast asleep. The last thing she saw was the coffin on the floor stained with tears. She looked back at Tian and saw his bloodshot eyes and wet cheeks, then at Denshi who was also crying. She knew what this meant, and she crumpled onto the coffin and started cry ceaselessly. All that could be heard in the castle was the sobbing of the servants, the guards, the cooks and the queen. News slowly spread, 'The King is dead!'.

"How? How did he die? What happened? What were you doing? Why didn't you save him? He was your best friend and your King, why?" the Queen asked as she slapped Tian, but that wasn't enough. She slapped him again, and again the slaps slowly turned to punches and the wall Tian was leaning against cracked then Denshi grabbed the Queen's arms and hugged her "He done all he could sister calm down. He passed out from fatigue before you even left the room. I'll tell you what happened. When they arrived on Yonfin they found out an ugly truth, the land saps the spirit power of the medicines and the spirit crystals they brought along. They were attacked 5 nights in a row, each night the casualties increased as they were using up spirit power every time they fought, and the natives took and ate the bodies of those who fell in the battle. On the sixth night only Tian and Sint were left for the next month they fought off waves of the natives, but one-night Tian and Sint were gravely injured, and Sint passed out, while Tian fought his way out while carrying Sint on his back. When himself passed out they were saved by a woman she transported them far away from the horde. However, they were poisoned and when Tian woke up the woman had cured him of the poison and had delayed the spread of the poison in Sint. When Tian recovered from his injuries enough to help gather ingredients for the poison in Sint, he did so. They cure Sint of the poison, but they weren't fast enough the poison had done too much damage to Sint's vital organs. He then succumbed to his wounds."

"I'm so sorry Delni. If only I was faster, if I recovered faster then maybe he wouldn't have died." Tian said as he woke up.

"Lies! Why would a stranger form another continent save your lives? Tell me the truth, you owe me that much."

"She saw our power, and she knew if she saved us, we would recover and kill her enemies, the ones who attacked us and the one who massacred her whole family and her village."

"What is that bastards name? WE SHALL AVENGE HIM!" Delni shouted.

"How? With more people to strengthen his forces. The land absorbs sprit power. We would die by the thousands before we even get to his fortress door. Half of the time we were there Sint and I were fighting without sprit power and we could barely hold them off for long. Tell me Deni, you who knew Sint the best, how many people would you need to take on Sint and I together without spirit power. In that man's fortress there are tens of thousands of soldiers, and they were only 500 that took on Sint and me, and I can tell you right now that you would need more than 500 to take out Sint by himself."

"Why would the land absorb spirit power?"

"A hundred thousand years ago there was a war on that continent, and during a battle in the war all the major families and lone cultivators were there fighting each other, many died, however the place they were fighting was the resting place of that continents Geomatrium."

"A battle where all the major powers of an entire continent fought one another, it must have been a battle of epic magnitude, and it was where the Geomatrium laid. But if it was destroyed then that continent would not even exist."

"It was not, it was severely damaged, and with it every living thing was stripped of its spirit power, too heal itself, it has been doing it ever since the moment spirt power enters the continent it absorbed it. Now spirit plants and the like have started growing and slowly spirit power was returning to the land, but it still absorbs foreign spirit power. She thinks that in a couple of decades the land will be at full power once again."

"Then we will kill that bastard then! What is his name?" Denshi clenched his fists till his knuckles went white.

"His name is Sinun. Excuse me I need to get home to my wife." Tian said.

"With your bastard child, go ahead but Reana will not be happy." Delni said as she walked back into her room. "Brother inform the lords that tomorrow is a national day of mourning, Sint's right will also take place tomorrow and his burial the day after. We cannot wait if he died 3 months ago, we need to summon the matriarch's throne as soon as possible before we lose the eyes. Also look after Sena tomorrow, I do not want to be disturbed for any reason."

"Good luck speaking to Rena about your kid, raising two kids will be hard." Denshi said closing the coffin he lifted it and gave it to the waiting guards "Seal him, if there is even 1 scratch on that coffin, I will personally disembowel all of you." After throwing down those words he left.

"Wait what do you mean 2 kids? Hey, Denshi answer me!"
