78 Gwen The 7 Seconds

Back at the Dowa's king city, Faust is angry at the engineer because the aircav is still grounded for few technical issues. Because of this, the soldiers can only wait out in the open, with nothing else to do. After half an hour, Faust have no choice but to dismiss them. Except for the pilot, the soldiers may go to the city for quick rest or some light meal.

Of course, each of the men already have MRE that enough to feed them for a month. But they need to safe some of those food when they can, in case the logistic got cut off. Thanks to the sleeper agents in the continent, each men already have Dowa kingdom's money, albeit only enough to buy food for a week. Gwen, that have a cooking hobby, use this short sight seeing time to find new ingredients and spices.

Two hours later, a loud sound of electric guitar and drum can be heard. Followed by sound of peoples screaming 'THUNDER' repeatedly. It was loud enough to be heard even by king Otus in his private chamber.

Hearing this, the aircav crew inside the city quickly realize, that this is the signal to move out. They then stop whatever they were doing and immediately run toward the helipad. Many of them even have to parkour their way, because how far they are from the helipad, Gwen included.

Once again, the people of Dowa kingdom became impressed by the Eldians. When the soldiers stampede their way inside the city, the confused onlooker freezed up in the middle of the road and thought they will be crushed by the soldiers. But none of that happen. They were either being picked up and moved to the side, or the soldiers will evade them like a rock on the river (or those zombies in world war z movie).

On the helipad, while the AC/DC's song 'THUNDERSTRUCKED' is still playing, the aircav soldiers came on running from the city at a breakneck speed, and immediately board their respected helicopter. Feli board a UH-1, Gwen board a MH-6C, while Faust Board the lead Mi-35 Hind.

In just 4 minutes, all personnel is on board. Faust immediately give the take-off command, and then all 80 helicopter with seven different kind then take-off in order. First, it was the Mi-35 'Hind' and AH-64 'Apache', followed closely by the MH-6C and UH-1. Then, the UH-60 'Blackhawk' and Mi-26 begin to take-off, with AH-6C that act as the rear guard taking off last. When the last helicopter take off the song ended.

When the aircav flew over the city, Gwen saw many of the people, mostly children waving at them. Many of the men wave back including Gwen.

Not long after the city is no longer visible, there are a news from Yuri. "Hey guys, good news. Not long after the aircav move out, we manage to catch few spies."

"Good job Yuri and Conrad! Interogate them, and get me as many intel as posible."

"You got it boss. Out."

Half an hour later, because there's nothing to talk about, the radio and the men is all silent. Unable to handle the unnecessary silent, Faust then play a music to lighten up the mood.

When Gwen heard the music, she couldn't helped herself to ask. "AC/DC again?"

"Hey.. don't judge, I love his voice. Besides, who doesn't love AC/DC." Faust play another song by AC/DC 'Back in Black'.

One of the pilot then also commenting. "Instead of 'Back in Black' isn't 'Highway to Hell' more appropriate for this occasion?"

"That's actualy a good choice. I'll play that next."

Another pilot then also joining in. "Roling Stone's 'Paint it Black'."

"I'll add it to the playlist."

"How about 'Peace Line' by Kenshin Yonezu."

"That's an anisong. But what the heck, it's good one anyway."

"Hey.. if anisong is okay, then I sugest SPYAIR's 'Some Like It Hot!!'."

"No rejection for that song. I can already imagine many of you bopping your heads for that part. You know.. the 'HEY! HEY! Some Like It Hot!!' one."

"No question for that!" Many then began to laugh with that statement.

After a dozen song request later, one of the apache gunner picked up something in her scaner. "Sir, I got a reading! The scaner picked up five signatures 45 km ahead, closing in fast. I think it's a dragon riders scouting."

"Copy that. Keep an eye out for them."

"Faust, this is Gwen. I have request."

"Go ahead."

"Let me take care of them. I like to try this new baby."

"You mean that new rifle?"

"Yep. We never try them on a dragon."

"Request granted. Gunner, give us a heads up when bogey are in 5 km marker."

"Roger."

The MH-6C that has Gwen on board, then move to the front.

Not long after that, the gunner give the heads up. "Bogeys is at your one o'clock ma'am. I don't think they spot us yet."

"Copy."

Gwen then prepare the new rifle. The new rifle's official name is HSR-01. Thanks to the new kind of gunpowder, the bullet will travel at the speed of mach 5 when fired. The bullet is a newly made .55 caliber sniper rifle bullet that's made of titanium instead of lead, so the bullet can survive the blow and the hypersonic speed.

The rifle's mass is 18 kg, the length is 165 cm, and it's made of adamantium. It has an effective firing range up to 4 km away. So far, the think tank only produce 5 of these rifle. And so far, there are only two people that can use it to it's maximum potential. Those two person are Al and Gwen.

After Gwen finish loading the magazine, she then took aim. She center the target into her crosshair. Unlike the normal bullet, these bullet will not drop until it pass around 2 km. Making it the dream rifle for all sniper. The only problem is, there are no scope that can zoom far enough for that kind of distance yet. That's why the sniper will need an incredible eye sight, so they can use it perfectly.

Gwen being an elf, have a naturaly great eye sight, but with the advance traning that she got from the military, her eyes can even clearly see a small button of a shirt at 500 meters away with no help from a scope.

When Gwen pull the trigger, the bullet immediately left the barrel and travel at the speed of mach 2, leaving behind a line of circles, caused when the bullet breaking the sound barrier.

On the other side of the scope, the 5 dragon riders are chating around. Until...

"GYAAAAHHH!...." One of dragon then let out a short scream after being hit on his center chest, before turning silent, and just drop dead. The rider then scream while he fall to his dead.

"What is that!?"

"What just happen!?"

While the rest still haven't recover from the shock, the next dragon got hit in it's head. And then the next one. And then the next one. 7 seconds after the first kill, the last dragon rider manage to hear the gun shot albeit small, before his own dragon also killed.

Seeing this, Gwen then give the all clear. But, an enemy scout team in this place also mean one thing. "Faust, we need to step up."

"Yeah, either Lervi is under attack, or it's already fallen. Com, send that news to the mechanized & motorized infantry. We are heading into a warzone."
