8 Chapter 8

The man started to get up and gave a sigh "well better get back to work then" he said. "wait!" Spane shouted "Is your name Tyler Denison by any chance?" The man stopped and replied "Yeah, who's asking and what for?" "now now Tyler, don't be so mean to these two" said a voice coming from Kai. The little ball of light then squized itself out of his chest and the man grabbed a massive, black sword "Aster!? I thought you died". He dropped the weapon and the ball of light started to grow and glow brighter. After a few seconds a little girl took the ball of lights place. She had pink hair and a round face, on her head curved horns had sprouted and a snakish tail protruded from the bottom of her back. Her hands had a few scales that reflected the light from the armour and she had yellow eyes like a dragon. Spane and Kai jumped back in surprise. "don't look so surprised it's only me, Aster" she said and the two of them dropped there guards and stepped away from the weapons. "well well, looks like we have some catching up to do" Tyler said to Aster and gestured for the three of them to follow him. They were led to a room with bright lights, completely different from the other and cushions were on the floor around a square table. Aster sat down on one of the cushions and Tyler did the same. "take a seat then" he said to Spane and Kai. They hesitantly sat down and Kai asked "who are you then?" "I'm a very old friend of Asters and we fought in the devils war nearly one hundred years ago. That reminds me you were killed by the former king of this land in the war Aster! how are you still alive?" "I don't know either but everything went black and I became a ball of light that appeared next to this kid" Kai glared at Aster and she stuck her tongue at him jokingly. "his name is Kai, oh shit I mean Kole and he is my vessel now. oh and this is Spane, she's a little timid but a strong wielder of magic." Tyler nodded and looked at the Kai and then Spane "so is his name Kai or Kole?" "It's Kai" Aster said "I didn't want to tell you because the only thing I know for certain is if his real name is found out by someone then a disaster will follow. I don't know if it's the gods being dicks or if it's just a phenomenon that has happened because of our meeting." "well you all must be tired so I'll let you stay here until you find your own place" the scarred man said with a kind face and grabbed some cushions and a blanket from a cupboard next to him. "you'll have to share this" he said. Aster jumped up "that's fine with me" and she threw herself at Kai. "and you?" Tyler asked raising an eyebrow at Spane. She started to blush and fidgeted about for a minute while mumbling, and finally came out with a nod. "well then I'll leave you three to it. I'll be in the room next door and the bathrooms down the corridor" Tyler then walked off while yawning. "Wait Aster you have no cloths on" shouted Kai and looked away. he tried to get up but then fell and knocked his head on the table, making him fall unconscious. "You only just noticed Kai, what are we gonna do with you" Spane said while shaking her head. Aster grabbed the blanket and through it over her and Kai. Spane stared at the two of them, and then got up and walked over to them. She got in the blanket on the other side of him and Aster gave her a grin "now don't go doing anything rude, or I might just join in" she said and Spane blushed and threw a pillow at her. Aster laughed and wished everyone a good night.
