5 Chapter 5

A sound of a flurry of steps then filled the air and not long after Saraya came rushing in and Spane had a stern look on her face. Spane quickly jumped to her feet and gave a certsy while saying "sorry for the intrusion m'lady" which shocked Saraya for a bit but then she regained her composure and gave a certsy back. She then said "I don't think I'm a child of this house anymore though, as my parents left me in that cellar." Spane quickly grabbed her hand and said "I'm sorry you had to go through that!" in a sorrowful voice. Saraya told Spane that she doesn't need to be sorry and that being a noble is overrated anyway. Letting out a sigh of relief Spane going backwards onto the sofa, landed on Kai. "oh shit, sorry Kole!" she whispered as she jumped up trying to keep him asleep. Saraya then went on to explain the system of the nobles:

The kings house, Sicut Ceruicubus (or Just Hawk) was at the top, then it is the 3 large houses – house Oryx (wild bull), house Argentum Leonis (Silver Lion), and house Alba Pavos (White Peacocks). House Oryx was in charge of creating shinobis for the Hawks empire, house Argentum Leonis for military, and house Alba Pavos for police. There are also the 4 minor houses – house Simia Pupura (crimson monkey in charged of agriculture), house Superbus Signacula (proud seals in charge of the navy), Rosa Caeruleum (Blue rose in charge of trade with other countries/merchants), and finally at the bottom is house Audentes Sangusugae (confident leach) which doesn't do much.

"and that's how ..." Bang! Saraya was rudely interrupted. Both the girls looked out the window and found a horrific sight. A forest full of spiders, large and small. "Quickly! Block the windows!" Saraya bellowed "it's migration season for the spiders! Please take that boy and go to the cellar. You'll be safe their!" Spane nodded her head and dragged Kai to the cellar giving a nod to Saraya as she locked the door behind her. All Spane could hear was the sound of banging. But then there was the sound of a window smashing and the loudest scream that would ever be heard. The room Saraya is in was taken over and spiders crawled all over her digging their fangs into her still frostbitten skin. The smaller spiders burrowed into her body and screams followed with a cry for help. The spiders dug all the way to her liver eating from the inside, out. The larger spiders started to fight over her arms and legs leaving one leg attached by only one vein. It dripped with blood and the muscles where still spasming. Spane tried to block the screams of help out but they penetrated her ears giving her fear and shock. The mirror only reflected blood, pain and fear. The fireplace incinerated some of the spiders but there were too many. Soon Saraya died and the spiders made a banquet of her fresh corpse.
