10 The Golden Age Arc

(2 days later at the Hokage office)

Tsunade, "So you found a wounded swordsman outside the village. Then you used a newly discovered jutsu on him because you thought he was an enemy. The jutsu turned his memories into a book. And then you read it."

"Do I understand correctly?"

Hiruzen, "Yes, you got it right except for one thing. We only looked at one memory of the man, not all his memories."

Tsunade, "I don't care about this wounded man. Why did you call me back?"

Tsunade was furious. She had been called back urgently. She was forced to come back to this village with tons of bad memories. She was only called back because of a wounded man.

Hiruzen said, "Look at the man's memories first and then decide, Tsunade. We thought he was from another dimension."

Tsunade, "Another dimension? Who would believe such nonsense?"

Minato, "I examined the place where the man fell later. The spatial fluctuations where he fell still haven't completely stopped."

"The flying thunder god jutsu I'm using only momentarily leaves a gap in space. Then it closes. I've never seen space crack like that before."

Jiraiya, "Are you sure, Minato? I mean, the existence of another dimension is not very convincing."

Kushina, "If I hadn't seen Guts' memories, I would have thought the same as you, Jiraiya-sama. But Guts' memories fully support our theory."

While the five were still talking, another ninja entered the room.

He was a man with pale skin and snake-like golden eyes. This was Orochimaru of the Sannin.

Orochimaru, "I finished printing the book in Sensei Inoichi's memory."

Hiruzen, "Okay, let's go, it's easier to let you read the book than to tell you."

"Orochimaru, by the way, when you printed the book, you didn't show it to anyone else, did you? It's a SSS-level secret."

The three sannin didn't expect the book to be a SSS-level secret. Nevertheless, they thought that a book that proved the existence of another dimension deserved that rating.

(Orochimaru's Lab a few hours later)

The three sannin were amazed at the man in the book and the world he was in.

Jiraiya said, "Is this Sensei Guts in our hospital now?"

Hiruzen, "Yes, he's in the hospital now, but he's still in a coma and hasn't woken up for almost a week."

"Even though most of the wounds on him have healed, it's like something is keeping him unconscious."

Orochimaru had the idea of analyzing these creatures he had never seen before.

The dream of learning all the jutsu in the world began to seem more complicated.

Because the idea of a second world without even jutsu was too new for him.

Tsunade said, "We should look at more of his memories. The idea of executing and sealing him with a single memory doesn't make sense."

"The man seems too powerful. We can't risk the idea of him becoming our enemy if he's not sufficiently contained."

Tsunade's idea was the common thought in all their minds.

Kushina, "Shall we get the second book in the memoirs then?"

Minato, "What's the title this time, Kushina?"

Kushina, "Title? Let's see what it is."

Kushina picked up the second book in line and flipped to the first page.

On the first page there were dozens of people hanging on a tree. In the last panel of the page there was a bloody baby under one of the hanging women.

In the top corner of the book was written.

"The Golden Age"

Jiraiya, "What a dark beginning for a golden age."

(A mercenary named Gambino and his unit pass through a looted village on their way to their mission.

All the people in the village had been hanged from a tree near the village.

Gambino says, "I'm almost sick to my stomach."

Gambino looking at the hanging tree. A woman in a carriage noticed a baby lying under the hanged people.

This woman's name was Shizu. Shizu got out of the carriage and went over to this baby and took the baby in her arms and hugged it tightly.

Soldier A, "She must have gone crazy because of the baby she dropped."

Soldier B, "Gambino, was the baby she dropped yours?"

Gambino, "I don't know." Then he rode his horse closer to Shizu. "How long do you plan to keep him."

Gambino said, "Let him die" and then started to pull Shizu to him.

Because of the tugging, Shizu dropped the supposedly dead baby she was holding.

After the baby fell to the ground, he didn't make a sound at first, but then he started crying loudly.

The soldiers said, "It's still alive."

*That baby in the mud. It was lying in a pool of its mother's blood.

Seeing the baby crying, Shizu got rid of Gambino's hand and hugged the baby and tried to silence it.

Gambino seemed to object to Shizu at first, but when he saw her take the baby and sit back in the carriage, he continued on his way without making a sound.

Soldier A said, "Isn't that wrong? It's bad luck for us to take a child from a place like this."

Gambino, "What is it? Are you scared?"

The soldiers gave up the idea of bad luck because Gambino called himself a coward.

Gambino said, "He's going to die soon anyway. At least it makes Shizu happy for now."

Gambino, "Bad luck?

(3 years later)

)

Tsunade, "Was that child born of a dead woman?"

Tsunade had delivered hundreds of children over the years, but she had never seen such a healthy child born from a dead woman.

For one thing, was it possible? Even the baby's umbilical cord had been ruptured.

He knew that a normal baby's umbilical cord, if not properly disinfected, would die of inflammation.

Orochimaru said, "The baby looks like Guts from the first book we read."

Kushina, "I think it looks like Guts too. Maybe this time the book will tell us about Guts' childhood."

Hiruzen, "At least this way we'll know if he's a villain or not."

Five people who read the book nodded at this idea.

And they went back to reading the book.

It was really exhausting to write the story myself instead of summarizing panels from the Berserk manga.

When I was writing the first pages, I could write 1000 words in an hour.

Now I could only fill 1000 words in 2 hours.

I changed the story to read the Golden age arc.

They won't really hate Griffth until they see Femto. But before it gets to Femto, Guts does dozens of crazy things. And it's enough to get him executed.

I decided to change it this way so the story wouldn't be forced.
