THE WELLS MANOR

SUN SEPT 29

9:45 AM

The screeching of tires causes some birds in a nearby tree to fly off as a black sports car pulls up outside the Wells manor. The manor which stood grand like a fortress and barricaded by trees appears through the rolled window and with the opening of the door, slender legs appear as Chloe Wells steps out of the car and makes her way to the manor door. She couldn't help but take in a deep breath as a sweet fragrance permeated the air, followed by petals from the flowers nearby as the wind tosses her black hair about.

"Zarx! Zarx!" she calls out. "Hurry with the bags. We have to be at the port by 11:00 am." she concludes.

"Wow, so huge" a teenager exclaims as he steps out of the car staring with wide eyes at the huge structure in front of him.

Along with their butler Mr. Martin, they unload the bags from the car. Zarx drags a bag across the brightly lit hallway and up a flight of stairs into a bedroom. Exiting the hallway, he slides down the railing into the large empty hall and turns around like a spinning top as he stares at the various art pieces on the wall before making his way to the dark tinted glass door just as Mr. Martin pulls out of the garage with a black sedan. Chloe rushes out of the manor almost dropping her ringing phone and answering it as she makes her way to the car.

"Hello, this is Chloe"

"Mrs. Wells?" comes a male voice from the phone

"Yes"

"The goods have just arrived at the port. Please come and complete the clearance and retrieve them"

"Okay, thank you".

The car drives off just as she ends the call. Viewing from outside, one can only see the greens creeping through the iron fence around the manor.

GARDOT

10:00AM

Deep in the mountains in what looks like a traditional Japanese house ripped straight out of the edo period, a teenager unsheathes a sword and swings it around like a hero fighting to save his beloved.

"Hey young man you better drop that sword and start packing. The train will soon depart and you don't want to miss it" shouts an old man in duo [samurai armor] standing outside.

"Oh yeah, says who" replies a young man with black coiffed hair as he walks outside revealing a bright smile.

He walks towards the old man through the only path left by the mass of water surrounding the house and layered with shiny pebbles the size of a fist, brushing his hands through the hedges along the path.

"Says me genius" the old man says

"But grandpa I just want to…"

"Master Kane, the enemy is retreating" a soldier runs in and interrupts.

"Doesn't make sense. At least not for this army. I don't think they retreating. It could be a trap. They probably have allies in the mountains far off and want you to follow so they lure you into a trap but we won't give them that chance. We need to cut them off before they alert their allies. How many of their men are left?"

"About 500"

"What about our men?"

"About 700"

"Shoot the flares to alert those by the bridges so they withdraw the bridges and alert the archers in the mountains as well to light up the arc of fire once they are near the bridge. Enclose them and don't let even one of them escape. I would be with you in a moment."

"Yes master" the soldier says as he strides away.

"Grandpa…"

"Gavin, I'm not changing my mind. Dress up. Leah here would take you to the station once you are done. Your mom and dad would pick you up when you arrive in Camcot and don't worry as you can come pay a visit whenever you want"

"Okay grandpa" he says with a smile.

"Leah, please pass me my sword"

The woman named Leah turns as her shoulder lengthened brown hair gets blown into her smooth face by the wind. She picks the sword from a corner and hands it to him.

"Before I forget, Gavin, your package has been delivered." says his grandpa.

Gavin lifts his head with a smile on his face, showing off his snow white teeth.

Kane calls a few soldiers and races towards the battle field with them.

CAMCOT PORT

11:05 AM

"Mrs. Wells, welcome" says an average height middle aged man as he sees the gorgeous Chloe Wells walk towards him.

"Thank you" she responds

"This way please" he says leading the way. She follows

"your husband is such an ambitious man…".

'Seriously, can't they stop talking for even a single moment' Zarx thinks to himself as he leaves his mom's side and takes a walk around, but not out of sight.

The large port is filled with tons of people moving up and about, most of which are in reflectors and signalling vehicles after another. He stares at the massive ships which come and leave making one feel like an ant before an elephant and the crashing waves bringing a cold breeze which threatened to freeze his blood.

Heavy footsteps begin to sound behind him as though someone is running towards him but before he could turn to see, the person trips and crashes into him sending them both crashing down. He lazily sits up and sees the person lying on the floor by him.

Seeing the person, he quickly stands and with outstretched hands helps the person up. "Are you okay" he asks

"Yeah thanks" comes the warm voice of a girl just about his age. He stares into her blue glowing eyes as she brushes her long flowing black hair off her face. Time seems to have stopped momentarily as he stares at her for sometime before quickly asking "Are you hurt"

"No, I'm fine, thanks. Sorry about that"

"Oh, don't worry, it's fine. I'm Zarx by the way" he says with an outstretched hand once again

"Melanie" she says shaking him.

'Wow her hands, they are really soft' he thinks to himself. "You look really pretty" he couldn't help but compliment.

"Thanks" she says with a blush.

"You live around here?"

"No, I'm in Braden"

"Well that's a coincidence. That's where I live as well"

"No way" she says with a gentle laugh. "If so, how come I have never seen you around?"

"We just moved into town. We came here to pick up a few things" "Okay then, welcome to Camcot."

"Thanks"

"I promise you, you are going to love it here"

"I look forward to it" he says with a look of expectation.

"Zarx!" his mom calls out to him.

"Is that your mom?"

"Yeah"

"She's cute"

"Yeah she is." pausing for a moment, he continues "I should probably get going"

"I guess we would meet again"

"Yeah, it's been nice meeting you"

"It's been nice meeting you too" she couldn't help smiling brightly

"Zarx!" his mom calls again.

"Coming" he says as he walks backwards staring at Melanie with a broad smile before turning and joining his mom in the car. He soon realizes he forgot to take her number after they set off with two trailers behind them.

She stood staring as they vanish around a corner. She turns to leave when she receives a message. She checks the message, smiles and walks off.

CAMCOT TRAIN

2:00 PM

"Who do you think you are, huh, you can't even pay for a ticket yet you go about deceiving younger women" shouts a woman from the back of the train.

"Do you even listen to yourself when talking? you sound as miserable as a broken horn" a man replies to her.

"And you are nothing but a useless clown prying at places you shouldn't be"

"And you just...."

'Can this couple ever stop arguing' Gavin thinks to himself with a sigh. He takes out a small handbook with the inscriptions, 'Way of The Samurai' written boldly in red on it. He flips through a few pages and begins to read. He barely finishes a sentence when he hears a little girl crying. She walks towards him and sits on the floor by his feet holding his trousers tightly between her fingers. He leaves the book on the seat, picks her up and puts her in his laps. He consoles her for a while and picks a lollipop from his bag for her.

"Alyssa! Alyssa!" her mom calls out to her. She takes a few paces and sees her in Gavin's laps. She smiles and picks her up.

"I hope she wasn't a bother" she asks

"No she was not" he replies. She thanks him and walks away.

He resumes reading. "Pennyville train set to depart in 10 minutes" an operators voice can be heard a few meters away. His train comes to a stop. He puts the book back into the bag, picks his suit case and steps out of the train. He inhales deeply then exhales slowly.

"It's good to be back" he says with a sigh of relief. His parents wave him over. At the sight of his parents, he leaves the suitcase near a pillar and runs to embrace them.

"How have you been doing?" his dad asks

"I have been doing great" they stare into his brown eyes and hug him again. He gets the suitcase and walks along with them to a yellow pickup car as they discussed his stay at his grandfather's place.

NIX HALL

1:00 PM

In a large hall with several thick pillars, bodies lay motionless on the floor and empty bullet shells spread around like shattered glass piece all over the floor as the smell of blood filled the air with some pillars stained in fresh blood. Loud bangs can be heard as a teenaged girl ducks behind a huge rectangular pillar in the middle of the hall away from the bullets being sprayed at her.

She turns and looks right into the eyes of another person behind a pillar to her right. The person raises his hand and begins a count down from 3. As soon as he makes a fist after the last count, they both move from behind the pillars and started firing at the henchmen around them. A henchman moves towards her from the right. She shoots him in the leg and then the left shoulder. He drops to the ground groaning in pain. She rolls over and picks up the gun of the person she just shot and shoots 3 more henchmen walking towards her. She turns "Dad 2 o'clock" she shouts. He turns and shoots the person and then another who had just moved out of hiding. The hall becomes dead silent.

"Told you this would be a piece of cake" she says standing care freely

"Well that was impressive" he says with a smile.

She stands near a pillar and a man moves from behind it and grabs her with a knife to her throat.
