Insanity and Sanity

[Shelly's POV]

My eyes widened.

As if on cue, the kitchen door opened revealing two maids. One maid has a curly dandelion hair and she looks younger than Maid Lhea and the brown-haired maid. She has golden eyes and she wears a yellow sun dress under her maid outfit.

The second one looks more childish with a short blue hair, ocean eyes. It looks like she's the youngest of them all, maybe 15 years old? Her maid uniform is a cute blue dress with a red ribbon in her chest and is it just me, because I'm seeing three pairs of translucent wings behind her unattached, but is following her every move as if it's attached to her. I'm going crazy.

'Uhuh! I must have been driven to the point of total insanity. I should have expected this to happen.' I sighed.

"Lhea-chan!" They exclaimed running towards Lhea.

"What's happening here?" The long brunette maid peeked from around a corner.

"It's okay, I'm fine," Lhea said while rubbing her cheeks.

"Yona-chan! Come quick, Lhea-chan was punched by Shelly-sama!" Shouted the dandelion-haired.

"I don't mean it! Really! I just got this scary feeling and I j-just trusted my in-instincts and all!" I stated explaining, tears building up in the corner of my eyes. Completely confused of the scene I sat down and hugged my knees.

"I don't m-mean it! I d-don't!" I said in between tears and for some reason I can't stop myself from doing so.

They went silent. Then I swear I heard them mumbling and talking as I hear footsteps running away from my position. They must be mad at me... I deserved it anyway.

Then I heard the main door opened.

"Shelly, why are you crying?" Aunt's voice asked.

I looked up and it was her speaking to me. She helped me stood up and she wiped my tears using her fingers. My eyes began searching for the four maids earlier but they are not around anymore.

"What are you looking at?" Aunt Yurara asked also looking around.

"Yurara, I saw the mansion's servants! I saw them cooking and cleaning!" I exclaimed. " We are not alone!"

"Shelly, we don't have servants! It's just you and me." She said in a stern voice.

"B-but..." I tried reasoning but she gave me a warning look, so I zipped my mouth.

"Come on, you must be hungry I've prepared noodles and carrot soup at the dinner table." She stated pulling my hand.

We walked for about three minutes before arriving at the dinner table. We sat on royal blue chairs, sitting beside each other. Aunt Yurara started putting the rice and vegetables on my plate.

"Eat well. You're just hungry." Aunt stated.

"I think so too." I responded and started digging in.

After a few minutes, my aunt stood up having finished her meal. She headed upstairs without saying a word and disappears from my sight afterwards.

"She's hiding the truth, how annoying." I whispered to myself. "I mean, I know it could be my hallucinations, but that doesn't explain-" I looked up to the ceiling before sitting in a slouching manner.

I pushed the bowl of carrot soup away and left the dining area. I decided that I would take a bath and maybe, I can spot one maid there and ask her questions.

I grabbed a yellow towel from the tapestry, the one with elephant patterns because I find it adorable. I made my way towards the bathroom and took a deep breath before slowly opening the door.

"What's taking so long to open the door?" A voice asked.

"GAHHH!" I screamed as I slap the towel on the person's face.

"What is your problem child?!" I realized it was Aunt Yurara due to the tone of the voice. I slowly turned around facing her, she was wearing a scowl and she was furiously looking at me.

"You little stupid brat! Come here!" She shouted, pulling me by my hair, making me scream in pain. She forcefully dragged me on the way to the spacious living room.

Her grip is getting tighter and stronger as minute passes by, she pushed me and I lost my balance. My face slammed on the marbled floor and I can't help but to wince in pain.

I was planning to give her a dirty and angered look, but before I could spin around she kicked my stomach, causing me to hugged myself due to the aching.

"How dare you slap me with that dirty towel of yours! Do you know much money I spend for hair relaxation? You little bitch!" She screamed.

"D-damn it." I whispered. She's gone crazy again, what a lunatic.

"Don't you dare try to stand up or else you won't be able to eat lunch and dinner!" She angrily added marching away and tossing her hair behind in the process.

I waited for her to go back upstairs before flipping myself, laying on the cold marbled tile floor. I don't have the energy to stand up, my body is still hurting after all.

I waited for a few minutes before I decided to rant to myself. "She's getting more evil as years passes. Tch, curse her. I wish someday she'll turn into some crazy statue outside...and then birds would poop on her! Then.. .scratch her eyeballs out... then... then...."

"Then what?" Aunt's voice asked out of nowhere that made me flinched.

"Have you been standing there from the very beginning?" I asked sitting up in the process.

She remained silent and afterwards she scoffed.

"For now, I'll pretend that I didn't hear anything from you child." She turned around and headed towards the mansion's door.

"Better clean yourself, you smell." She stated before opening the door using her hands.

My eyes widened.

"No keys...?" I whispered to myself.

Afterwards she closed the door shut.
