The group moves quickly towards the escape path. During their journey, they can feel that the atmosphere is changing. The hunters did not attack them. They just stare at them as if they just a passerby. Federica moves with calm, not to fast and not to slow. She as the group leader has to stay compose and make sure her team did not panic and make a mistake.

Suddenly a loud sound is heard. All of them turn their head towards the sound. White smoke spread in the air.

"Everyone stay together!" Federica orders her teammates. "Don't stop, we are on the right path, moves straight and we will reach the appointed place."

This is not the first time they in danger situation but for some reason, they can't keep calm. Federica's voice shook them from their dazed.

Hansel continues to moves straight as being instructed by Federica but suddenly Micha that stay beside him grab his hand and moves opposite from the designated path.

"What are you doing Micha?"

"You are confused and moves opposite from our group." Micha voice sound confident that Hansel is the wrong one.

"But I'm sure that it is the right path and the leader's voice comes from the front."

"This is not an ordinary smoke, it can create confusion."

"What! Are you sure?"

"Of course! I once read about this kind of smoke before."

"You just read it how you can be so sure?"

"Based on the description the smoke seems normal but can't disperse easily." Micha makes a hand gesture that trying to fan the smoke.

"Indeed. You are right." Hansel did not argue anymore and follow Micha.

Micha nodded and while holding Hansel's hand they move further from the group. Hansel tries to separate their hands but Micha grip is getting stronger.

"Micha! Are you in love with me?" Micha stumbles hearing the question.

"We are in danger, what are talking about?"

"Well, you are holding my hand tightly so I'm just asking."

"I just don't want you to be separated once again."

Hansel smile mischievously but his long left nails stab Micha's heart. Micha is dumbfounded with Hansel action.

"Enemy in the group!!!" Shouted Hansel as he directly hides in the smoke.

Micha that falls to his knee lift his head and stand up. The wound and the blood disappear like it never happens. Micha's face and body change into an adult male human.

"Clever little vampire! Care to tell me how you know about me?"

No answer comes out, that is because of Hansel already moving quickly towards the safe point. He is not crazy to fight with the hunter alone. Before they move out Federica asked all of them to make a simple compass and that compass will only be directed to the safe point. So if they are separated or lost they will depend on that compass.

[Micha is an expert in sleeping in class so how could he interested in reading book.] Hansel sighed and hopes the real Micha and the others will be safe.

Meanwhile, not everyone is as attentive as Hansel. The smoke can make people confuse so amid the confusion most of the night creatures are missing, abducted by the hunters.

Space fluctuates strongly and repeatedly. It is hard to detect who is teleporting. From outside it can be seen that the city shrouded with big and thick array and look impossible to be entered.

"Those hunters are determined to find our young master." Daniela fixed her gazes towards the city.

"Then what are we waiting for let go and join the fun." Lamia disappears from his place and enters the city.

Daniela rolled her pretty eyes and follows Lamia into the city.

Jason is sitting in front of the Demon Society chairman.

"It has been a while, Ancestor Jason since your retreat."

"Indeed. I hope you don't mind my intrusion."

"Noo! It is a pleasure to see you. Especially when the famous Darkness is helping us."

Jason nodded and pay attention to the table in front of him that shows the live video of the city.

Chairman Winter is very nervous and puzzled. [Why did this group of ancestors coming out after their retreat? Is there someone worthy for them to interfere? Is it the same person that makes anomaly before? If it is true then we the vampire are very lucky.]

Feeling that his conjuncture is true the chairman ceased his worry mind and start smiling. Jason did not have any time to pay attention to the chairman. A few minutes later Hecate calls Jason in the headquarters.

"Reporting! We are being ambushed. Space bending is unsuccessful. We lost their track. Lamia and Mara are struggling to detect the space route."

Jason tapped his fingers on the armrest thinking about the situation.

"Ancestor Jason looks like a wise decision for The Darkness to help us. The enemy..."

"The enemy is above Grade S." Jason interrupted Chairman Winter. "There are more than one."

Jason red eyes are getting darker and the temperature drops rapidly. Chairman Winter unconsciously shaking.

"I have underestimates their eagerness."

The door is open and a middle-aged man enters the room. " Aiya! who made you mad, hmmm Jason."

Jason glance at the man but Chairman Winter stand up and put a flattery smile on his face.

"Ancestor Thomas, what an honour to have you here."

Ancestor Thomas nodded and sits beside Jason. "I sense a powerful aura from the hunters. So I come. Look like you need my help. Quickly beg me then I will help you." Ancestor Thomas said with a face saying beg me... beg me. Chairman Winter tried his best to reduce his presence and pray that he may leave to see the moon tomorrow.

"I beg you to help me!" Jason said nonchalantly. Ancestor Thomas mouth twitches. He knows that Jason is a practical man unless it touches his bottom line he will not get angry. Pride is not in his list of the bottom line.

"You did not change your attitude. Tell me everything that happens, I will arrange for my man to collaborate with the member of Darkness.

Jason narrated everything and Thomas start to communicate with his people to give additional support. If they lose tonight it will boost the spirit of the humans to eradicate their races. The night creatures may never have a place of their own.

Since the human called their expert then it is time for us the expert of night creatures to resurface to remind the human that the ancestors are still alive and kicking. That night many coffins of the ancestors are open and head to the battlefield.

"I smell delicious human blood. Grade SS. It looks like this night will be merrier."

"Eh! Smelly old woman, you are awake? Just go sleep in your smelly coffin. That Grade SS is my prey."

"Tsk! With that horrible skill of yours? You will be lucky to win the battle."

The similar peaceful conversation happens in a few places. It is quite a long time since the ancestors crawl out from their coffin.
