19 The emperor

Rushing to the imperial study of his father Kenshin once he had arrived signalled to the eunuch to signal his arrival so he could enter and discuss the matters of the Divine Beast. Their country has never been so close to gain one for them to use as the biggest bargain chip. And with it, their country would know a boon in prosperity.

The emperor sat down behind his desk as he was examining some documents placing them to the side to have a talk with his eldest son. As that son rarely came to him with urgent matters he was quite perplexed he knew his son was raising a beast that could well break through the Divinity but he also hushed all rumours and helped his son camouflage the cub. He also knew about the King of beast wrecking countries in search of that cub, but that king was looking in the wrong direction all thanks to him… so he wasn't worried at all. As long as the beast did not come out in the open at least until it was contracted to his son than it wouldn't matter anymore even the beast king would have to bow to a contract. He would not be able to interfere.

The eunuch unmistakable voice rang high announcing the crown prince.

The emperor nodded and made a hand gesture to let him in. He did not smile nor was his face cold toward that son of his.

Kenshin greeted his father and waited for his permission to move to the matters at hand.

"Son what matters do you urgently have to discos so late at night?" he said in a neutral tone.

"Your imperial son, this crown prince has come to ask a favour of imperial father." He spoke elegantly and politely neither too strongly or neither weekly.

"As Imperial father likely already knows this prince has been rearing a baby tiger spirit beast which as now broken at such tender age into the true realm. As father knows if this beast can be coaxed into at least feeling attachment to this dynasty, would enjoy the same privileges if not more as this beast still has its parents while they do not know where the cub is, once the cub love this place they likely would not dare hurt us in fear that the cub would hate them in return we can paint ourselves as it, rescuer.

Indeed it was his fourth brother that had kidnapped it at first but I stopped him from harming it. Considering that that cub already has an attachment to myself it should be easier to subdue the king's anger."

The emperor let his son finish before interjecting.

"It would be too soon to name it guardian beast right now it's not matured enough the other two would likely come to destroy it as soon as they would know and it's no guarantee that the beast king himself won't ask for explanations. But if that beast wants a "human" identity it would be feasible. It could then slowly mature under that Identity and feel enough attachment to even offer itself to us and it would then fight our enemies while we would not need to ask."

That could very well be a plan imperial father that beast now the girl has said she wished to live among the humans to judge if she found them worthy of her protection. But she is not the type that can easily be buttered up to. To much butter and she will become suspicious that her identity is known as she has asked secrecy which is convenient to keep her from her family for now.

Also, I gave her two servants some months ago she wishes for them to be entered under the same name registry as hers as an older brother and younger brother they could be used to build the bridges. Also begging imperial father to give her a high status so she could eventually be this crown prince, crown princess! He said in the most serious manner as if it was only natural no one could match her in all the girls of the kingdom. He was confident as long he wooed her long enough she would fall into his palms.
