18 Moving toward the sunlight

Extending my hand and folding and extending my fingers in repetition beckoning him to hand over those papers not taking his expression into account.

I speaking with a resolute tone while still in a light voice.

"Kenshin I paid you back the fees for them I worked as your land guardian, I don't understand why you are going back on your word that both Fire Drake and Sparrow belong to me?" My tone started light but got darker as I went on looking at him with a stern expression and a frown between my eyebrows.

He shook his head lightly and made a gracious smile. "It's not that I'm negating the deal and fact. They are indeed yours to do whatever your wish is with them I have not brought the papers with me why would I bring those papers along everywhere I go?" All was spoken in righteous way of speech while it did make sense he would not bring papers along on a normal day. I could not help but feel like he was hiding something from me. With recluence I had to drop it, for now, I had no ground to argue but to make sure I would hold those papers soon I added. "Then send for them." I gave him a smile. "Unless there is some other reason for more delays?" I gave him a smile that was not quite a smile.

Again his expression became a little not so good but it was barely noticeable, I could see it because I was now used to see this face of his and had sharper senses, thus this allowed me to notice his minute changes.

Giving him no way out this time he had no choice but to send a eunuch to retrieve the documents in question. We waited for him to return to continue that matter, therefore we moved to another matter which was my own identity within the human realm.

I started up with determination as I did not wish for him to cut off my speech.

" I think for now we will just move to some normal courtyard that I have the money to afford on my own. Fire Drake, Sparrow and me. Also today I would like to get some new maids I won't start going around doing the cleaning… Fire Drake is also "mature". So he will act as the "adult" publicly. I paused to give him a chance to interject, but I did not give him much option seeing his speechless face told it all." As for how I dare be so bold I have all rights:-- First, it was your peoples that kidnapped me from my kingdom. Second I am a true princess of blood my father standing at the pinnacle of all the spirit beast makes me no less of a royal then you. So while others country may have True divine beast my father chose to remain in his beast form rather than human. Don't think for a moment that I don't know that you sealed tightly any leaks concerning my wear about from my family! But I will give you one more chance to make it up to me Kenshin." I stood crossing my arms my eyes remaining on his.

"Now tell me how you will make it up to this Princess?"

I think it took him a few moments to register it all;-- he was stunned in place unable to voice anything it was indeed his little brother that had kidnapped me from my home but he had not brought me back he had kept me in his backyard like some guardian beast.

He sighed. " very well this prince will make it up to the princess of the spiritual beast kingdom. But to do so this prince will have to ask his imperial father. Ass some of the means are not into this prince jurisdiction thus unable to achieve." He stated somewhat helplessly."

Not only has the tiger had turned into a true divine beast, but it clearly was harder to handle it now. It seemed slightly hostile to humans in general, but it was no hurry as long it remained into the kingdom he could coax it into submitting to the kingdom it would secure his own seat as the next emperor and no country would dare try to poke at him in the future!

"Speaking of which I will ask imperial father to grant you a special status by decree without the need to publicize your true identity but one that would put the masses under you while giving you no real power it could be a shield for now. Like an honoured princess. Leave this matter to me I shall not disappoint you. Think of names that would be proper for a noble family registry." He scratched the back of his head feeling the long debacle coming his way…

He also needed to keep this girl from being too known as the King of beast had made rackets, but he had yet to truly pinpoint his daughter's location, but the country next to theirs was visited by the fuming monarch tiger and the result was one million troops annihilated and a landscape changed to a wasteland from a prosperous one. That beast did not have the shred of mercy for humans even when he had realized his cub wasn't held there… If he showed here it would be a disaster that needed to be prevented at least until that girl wanted to willingly stay then it would not matter! They could even have the protection of that beast because he would deter anyone from harming his baby girl…
