6 Three blessings and a unique skill!

"I am going to give you a passive protecting spell that will keep you safe from the enslaving spell they will cast on you upon your arrival".

The God of the multiverse then seriously looked at Lucas and said " The spell protects you against any type of enslaving spell no matter the tier of magic used however if the caster finds out that you are not affected by the spell and said caster is stronger than you, you are most likely going to enter conflict. Reminder this spell does not increase physical defence it is strictly to defend against the mentioned type of spells!"

Lucas nodded to show that he understood what he has been told. The God of the multiverse saw this and then proceeded to speak " You will not receive any physical protective armour from me. However, I will give you three offensive blessings. A unique skill will be given or not depending on the answer to my question."

Lucas was really excited about this. He started thinking " the God of the multiverse is going to give me blessings! I wonder what it will be. AAAAH I'm so excited!" Lucas smiled widely after this and then looked at the man in front of him. To indicate that he is paying attention and he may proceed to speak again.

" I am going to explain this to you in terms that you will be able to understand. To do that I'll be using gaming jargon from your world. Now, your first blessing is that you will have a high harmonization percentage with mana (upgradable). This means you will be able to control mana easier than others. What you can achieve with this is all up to you".

"Your second blessing is that you will have a high affinity to elemental magic (upgradeable). With your affinity to mana, you will find mastering other types of spells easier than other people. But the strength of the magic will never exceed the strength you can output using elemental magic"

"And lastly. Your third blessing is a decrease in the time used to cast spells which in turn will increase your hit rate percentage (upgradable)."

" These three blessings I bestow upon you. Each of these blessings is upgradable. How you use them is up to you."

The God of the multiverse then looked at Lucas seriously and said " Now here is the question I wanted to ask you. But before that let me explain something to you. When you get transferred to the other world you will look exactly like you did on earth due to the soul imprint and memories you still have and remember. When a baby is born, a baby is given an imprint on his or her soul by the God of his or her universe, this imprint is never the same as anybody only from time to time will you find ones similar such as twins and doppelgangers but even then..."

" This imprint indirectly determines a baby's personality and gives the blueprint to the baby's appearance. Think of the soul imprint as "DNA". The genes that code for your body are also embedded in the soul imprint. The expression of these genes is the phenotype, the physical body with all of its unique traits. Your body is shaped after the genes coded on your soul. Basically, your body is the physical representation of your soul become expressed in the physical realm. However, due to environmental factors such as unhealthy eating habits or malnutrition etc a body can deviate from what it is supposed to look like, however a phantom image of the true body is still kept in the soul's genome, like a manuscript in its purest form ". Lucas then looked at the God in front of him with his eyebrows scrunched thinking" This guy literally said the same thing three times but each time in more understandable words.

" With regards to personality. The genes that code for your personality are also imprinted on the soul. A baby has an innate personality due to the personality genes imprinted on his or her soul but certain genes are still dormant or don't work as much as others do. When the said person goes through certain experiences the genes that were affected either become active or they stay dormant. An example would be this. A person has the serial killer gene embedded inside her or him but for this gene to be active, other genes need to be active as well as being used at the same time. These genes could be the gene that codes for jealousy, anger, hate and more. When these genes all reach the required levels of activity the serial killer gene will become active. As such a child has an innate personality but the environmental factors the child goes through also has an equal bearing on the personality of the child."

Lucas was surprised to hear this he had heard about "nature vs nurture" as well as the more accurate " nature intertwined with nurture" but never did he think it would be incorporated like this.

The God of the multiverse continued and said: " Due to the fact that there is no damage to your soul whatsoever your personality and looks will be exactly the same. Which means you will still be black. The reason I am mentioning this to you is that in this world you are being transported to there are no black people... Well, there are but they do not exist in public, in fact, the mentioning of them is only in legends. Now the people are not racist just not exposed to a race with black skin. In this world, there are even people with white, green, blue and even red skin. However, to them, this is the norm. Just like white and black as well as shades of yellow are normal for you to see. ".

" So when they see you. They will be surprised and you will be met with trouble duly to the colour of your skin. But in order to equate for this disadvantage, I will be granting you a unique skill. Or you can choose to change your race, of course, you will not receive the unique skill should you choose to do that. So what do you choose?"

Lucas then put his index finger and thumb on his chin and rubbed them up and down his chin as he began to think " So far all my blessings have been pretty strong so I'm sure that the unique skill will also be quite strong. But being the only black person in the public eye sounds like a tough job. I'll ask him what the skill is first and then weigh my options."

Just as Lucas was about to speak the God of the multiverse spoke. Causing Lucas to swallow his words. " No, I will not tell you the unique skill before your decision!"

Lucas was surprised to hear the answer given so quickly and thought " Mmmm, I guess I was thinking out loud again... But at least I know that I must make the decision before the reveal... Wait wait wait. I was thinking in my mind cause it felt just like this. Yet he answered my question even though I never said a word!"

Laughter could be heard. It was that slow and deep laugh again. Then the God of the multiverse said in a jovial voice " That is because I can read your mind. Like I said. I see all. Naturally, this means I hear all." He then started laughing again in the same manner for two seconds. Afterwards, with a straight face, he said, " So what is your answer?"

Lucas was not surprised in the least but was annoyed with himself for not assuming this factor as true from the start. He then said with no hesitation " I will stay as my original self"

The God of the Universe then said " You have made your decision that is good. So without further ado, the unique skill you will receive is a system. This system, for now, will be able to quantify your strength you can find the rest out yourself... That will be it for now, I will now stop interfering with the soul migration array and let you off."

Lucas smiled and thanked him earnestly for all his blessings and the system. In the next moment, he felt a pull and was submerged in a beam like white light that was drawing him to someplace below. Eventually, the pulling ended but, not the white light. He felt he was standing on solid ground. He then pinched himself to feel if he had arrived in a new world. Once he did he felt pain and was thrilled to have a body again. Lucas looked at his surroundings and saw that he was in some cylinder with white light for walls and above was what appeared to be a magic circle. He thought this because it looked like the magic circles he had seen when watching anime.

Lucas then wondered if he could exit through the walls so he wanted to touch the wall and if it hurt he would retract his hands. He walked up to the walls and touched them but his hands could not pass through. He thought " at least it does not hurt". At this moment the light slowly started getting dimmer and he could see multiple shadows with human-like figures on the other side.

Suddenly Lucas heard what sounded like a man scream " It's working!"
