57 Test 3 (8)

Moments later, 10 minutes ended and it was time for the semi-finals. With that Lucas and Silvya Rouge was teleported to the field. Lucas looked at the raging crowd as the cheers were threatening to break through the heavens. But most of them were directed at Silvya Rouge. She had claimed 100000 votes against Lucas's 20000. Of course not all her voters were in the Arena. Some voters were watching at home on their Lacrima. After looking at the crowd Lucas looked at the beautiful Silvya Rouge. She was doing the Windsor wave to her adoring fans. Blowing kisses to them as well. She looked in her element absorbing and relishing in the praises she was receiving.

A few moments later the timer of one minute started and so Silvya Rouge began prepping her mana. While she was doing that the temperature in the arena decreased rapidly. Lucas felt it getting colder and wondered if it was colder closer to her. But it didn't matter to him so he began prepping his mana. He ran mana through his body. He ran a lot through as he planned to do the starting speed dash. As boring as it was for the fans to see the same move over and over again. Lucas didn't care. Why fix it if it isn't broken. As long as this moved overpowered the Mages he wouldn't change his tactic. Lucas got into position and was done with his preparations. Silvya Rouge was done too. They were just waiting for the timer to run out.

When the timer ran out Lucas shouted. " Starting Fire Dragon's leap". His body was enveloped in flames moments later: with great force, he thumped his feet into the ground launching him meters forward. Lucas left 2 after images behind as well as a broken and scorched ground. Lucas travelled 11 meters in a matter of split seconds until he was in front of Silvya Rouge. But she was prepared for this. She saw the mistake Lucas's previous opponent had made. So instead of creating an ice wall in front of her. She created one around. She surrounded herself in ice. She was like a butterfly in a cocoon. But the cocoon was large and it was thick. When Lucas saw the ice wall he knew he wouldn't be able to break it in one kick. However, "three should be able to break it," he thought. As such Lucas didn't stop his charge. Once he was there he began his roundhouse kick. And kicked into the ice cocoon. The force was so much that a crack instantly appeared on the ice cocoon. Moments later a block of ice fell out of the cocoon. But it wasn't completely broken yet.

So Lucas returned his leg to the normal fighting stance and prepped his mana into his muscles getting ready for kick two. Once he was done he kicked the ice with full force. The ice shook and the crack within the ice deepened. The crowd were on their toes they had no idea what was going to happen. Because of that, it was quiet in the arena. Only Lucas's kicks could be heard. Lucas prepped his mana again getting ready for his third and final kick. This kick would definitely shatter the ice. Once he was ready he lifted his foot and kicked for the ice one last time. But when he did the ice turned from ice to water. So Lucas's foot went straight through it. Once Lucas placed his foot down. The huge ice block that was now in water form towered over him like a large wave. Then the wave descended swallowing him whole. Once Lucas was fully submerged in the water. It instantly turned into ice freezing Lucas in place.

Silvya Rouge looked at Lucas stuck in the ice and laughed. He was like an insect in amber. Or a fossil that was encased in sediment. She looked to the crowd who were cheering loudly and did the Windsor wave again. Smiling from ear to ear. She couldn't believe that this was all it took to beat Lucas. She couldn't lie to herself. Lucas seemed quite formidable and she was worried. Not to mention she would have to be his slave for a week if she lost. At first, she thought he was a big mouth. She soon realized he had every right to talk big. But not enough to win though... So when they increased the distance as to where Lucas and she would be standing. Silvya Rouge realized she had a fighting chance. She learnt from Lucas's previous opponent's mistakes and came up with a plan to take him down for good. Silvya Rouge looked at the ice block with Lucas in it once more. Marvelling at her greatness.

After a while, Silvya Rouge looked at the ice block and saw that Lucas was still inside it. She found this quite odd. As she had frozen many other people whole like she just did Lucas. But after a while, they are teleported out of the ice and then she wins. However, in this case, even after waiting longer than normal, Lucas was still in the ice. The ice was still in perfect condition meaning Lucas wasn't resisting. Then why hasn't she won yet? She thought... But she decided to wait it out.

One minute later and still nothing happened. Lucas was still trapped inside the ice. So she called out saying, " What is going on? He has clearly lost. He is frozen. It's been this way for 3 minutes. Let's not waste everybody's time. Can we end this? I get this is the semi-final but this is a waste of time. I mean he can't move at all. I win."

Moments later a screen appeared. On it was Ivys Vinnay, " Your opponent still shows high brain activity even though he is encased in the ice. Unlike your previous opponents who after being frozen have lower brain activity than before... But in compliance with your request. We will give him 2 minutes. If he still hasn't broken free from the ice in 2 minutes. You win." When she was done speaking the screen disappeared.

When Silvya Rouge heard that all she needed to do was keep Lucas locked inside the ice. And then she would win. She switched from doing nothing to an offensive mode. She started chanting again. After a minute she was done. She casted another ice spell above the ice block. Causing the ice block to expand and the ice to become colder. But this wasn't the end she did it again determined to lock Lucas inside. She was taking no chances.

Inside the ice Lucas was conscious. He looked and realized that he was trapped inside the ice. It was a weird feeling. Because he couldn't move his body no matter how much he wanted to. It felt like he was being smothered by walls. It was a yucky feeling as Lucas was quite claustrophobic. Lucas remembered how Silvya Rouge was able to change the ice back into water and then back into ice, freezing him. Lucas had to admit it was a brilliant plan and it succeeded. She was able to seal Lucas's one shot move. Now he had to fight her in another way. But suddenly he felt the ice getting colder as he saw her casting more spells on the ice. Lucas realized he had probably been in the ice too long and it was about time to break free. But he did not know how to. This part of magic he wasn't taught. He couldn't cast a fireball in the ice. It would explode on himself. But then he suddenly realized something. If Silvya Rouge was able to change the water to ice then Lucas could turn the ice to water. He had no idea how. But he was going to try it.

It was then that Lucas remembered his grade 4 chemistry class. Freezing occurs when the molecules of a liquid slow down enough that their attractions cause them to arrange themselves into fixed positions as a solid. This changes water into ice. But if Lucas could reverse this by the process of melting. He could change the ice into water. So far Lucas had been visualizing the finished effect of the spell but what if he could incorporate the process too. Would it be stronger? He had no choice but to find out. So Lucas began prepping his mana. Because has done this so much it didn't take long. Then he cleared his mind and began visualizing the ice around him. Once he did a whole new world came before his eyes. He saw the ice in it's truest forms. He saw how the molecules were tightly into each other. So he ran his mana through the bonds that were keeping them together. This separated the H20 bonds from each other. As a result, the ice was turning into water.

Outside the Ice block, Silvya Rouge noticed that Lucas was fighting back but she was not going to stop fighting. She had 30 seconds and then she would win. So again she started freezing the ice to make sure Lucas stayed inside.

Lucas felt that Silvya Rouge clearly wanted him to stay inside. He could also feel her impatience in the way she released her mana into the ice block. This alarmed Lucas. He had no idea why she was doing this. But it was clearly not for a good reason. So Lucas increased the speed of his thawing. He ran more and more mana through the bonds. Because Lucas's mana control was superior to hers as well as his affinity to water magic. Lucas was able to melt faster than she was able to freeze. Silvya Rouge realized that it would only be a matter of time before Lucas was free. It annoyed her to know that he was clearly better than her. But she took comfort in knowing that Lucas didn't have much time left. Lucas had 10 seconds left to break out of the ice then she would win. So yes, in the long run, Lucas would eventually win. But as long as she kept freezing she could delay it until it became her win. The crowd was with Silvya Rouge as they began saying, " 10,9,8,7..."

Lucas ran his mana through the bonds of the ice. It was initially really difficult and he was still getting used to it. It was his first time doing this after all. But now he had mastered it to a high enough level to change the water to ice. So Lucas enveloped all the bonds at once with his mana. And then he broke them and immediately all the ice turned into water. Finally, Lucas could hear what was going on in the outside world. He heard the crowd say, "2, 1." He had no idea why they were saying that but it didn't matter to him. Lucas was now in control of the water so it was hovering above him like a gigantic wave.

When Silvya Rouge saw that Lucas had just thawed all her ice in a matter of seconds she was discombobulated. She was baffled. And dispirited. She had put every bit of talent and skill she had gained into that ice block. Trying to keep Lucas locked inside the ice. But not only did she soon realize that Lucas would be able to break free if there was more time. This annoyed her but her eventual win comforted her. But when Lucas changed all her ice into water at once. She was forced to see. That the level of control Lucas had over the water element. Was FAR above what she could ever dream of doing. Also, there was no way of controlling the water element now that it was in Lucas's position. He was far stronger than her. It would also take too long to cast a new spell to conjure up new water. But even if she could. Lucas could just steal it from her. Not only that Lucas still had his superior speed in play. At this realization, her knees became weak as she fell to the ground. She lost every bit of will to fight. She sat down on the ground looking far into the sky. Her eyes looked empty and soulless.

Lucas wondered if he should use the water he now had control over and incase her in it. Then turn it into ice. Wouldn't that be poetry? But just as he was about to move the water she was teleported out of the field. She had clearly given up. So the officials ended the match.

The crowd was flabbergasted! They had no idea what just happened. This was the weirdest fight between mages they had ever seen. One moment Lucas moves across the arena in a speed comparable to a God. Kicking the ice. A loud sound echoed across the arena while Lucas kicked at the ice. Next Lucas gets swallowed by a wave of water and then he gets frozen inside said water. Later the ice becomes water again and Lucas is control of the water. After that Silvya Rouge lost her will to fight and because of that she disappeared. Silvya Rouge's fan were all disappointed but Lucas's fans exclaimed in joy as they couldn't believe Lucas had just won against royalty. They had bet on Lucas just because he was a dark house not because they thought he could win. Some people like to bet on the dark houses rather than those who are favoured to win.

In the luxury box, an old man said, " He just keeps on winning... He might just become King..."

"Yes sir, not only that but he has also shown that he has control over the water element. Plus his affinity to water is far superior to Silvya Rouges. She is known as the Ice Queen. Because she herself has a superior affinity to the element than most people. Water is her natural element and yet Lucas is still more talented than her. This is a first... Given that the results didn't indicate that Lucas could even cast water spells... I understand that the results were wrong according to his skin colour. Honestly, we are treading on new waters here, sir. So far he has revealed the wind, water, and fire element. I wouldn't be surprised if in the final between him and Seth Thornheart or Brutus Maximus he reveals he has the Earth element too."

"Lightningstorm hey..."

Back in the Arena Lucas was teleported back to the waiting room and when he did Seth Thornheart and Brutus Maximus were teleported to the Arena. So Lucas was alone in the waiting room. Waiting to take on the winner so he could battle him in the finals.
