4 Newtons first law dammit!
The girl was infuriated! She thought " Who! Does this guy think he is? To ignore me, not once but twice. I was nice enough to repeat myself and I even repeated the full sentence, the nerve!"
This time around Lucas clearly heard this girl but decided not to answer because he had no idea what to say " Aaah, I don't know what to say? If I mess up our first encounter. I ruin all my chances of ever being with her. You know what since that is the case. I might as leave it. I will act as if I never heard her."
It was at this moment that his ears started ringing. He heard a constant buzzing sound. With every passing second, the duration between each ring shortened as well as the sound of each buzz increased. It eventually got so bad that Lucas put his phone in his pocket and put his hands on his temples and started rubbing them.
The girl wasn't pleased with this for in her point of view it seemed that her very presence is what seemed to annoy this boy to the extent that he is even rubbing his temples in a circular motion.
"At least the bus is here" This made her feel better. She had been waiting for the bus for hours and now it was finally around the bend.

Meanwhile in the castle of someplace.
The red-robed mages were all chanting a single spell in unison " Oh Lord that governs this world, send to us a powerful soul that we may smite the enemies that seek our destruction in return we offer all of our mana to you as tribute".
This phrase was repeated over and over again. As the mages were chanting the black crystal got more and more active. It began to turn from a black colour to a deep purple as all the mana started flowing towards the Crystal. Once every drop of mana was absorbed from the mages the crystal turned purple ].
The King shouted, " Prepare for soul migration!"
A white light shot straight up into the sky and disappeared the second it reached the sky because the Lord who governed this world received it. The citizens of the country as well as the royal guards outside the throne room where all confused as to where the light came from and what it meant.
After a few minutes, white light was shot down and went into the crystal. The crystal began to flash and a large magic circle appeared on the ceiling creating a barrier at the circumference that extended to the bottom. This barrier could not be entered. At this time the mages dispersed and moved away from the soul migration array because they no longer had any mana to give away. Ever!
The magic circle started getting brighter and brighter and until you could no longer see through it. It was just a white light in the shape of a cylinder. Soon after the light started getting dimmer, and dimmer and dimmer to the extent that somewhere between all the light a black shadow like image could be seen.
The King cried out in joy "It's working!"

As if possessed by a demon the girl exploded in rage. So the fact that Lucas was "ignoring" her was no longer something she could just let go. She stood up looked at him and forcefully removed his hands from his temples only to notice that this boy was drenched in sweat.
Lucas was still hearing the ringing in his ears and it was painful as such he was sweating profusely. He felt someone remove his hands from his temples but didn't pay much mind to it instead scrunched his face in pain as the buzzing continued to ring in his ears.
The girl seemed as if she did not care about the pain he was feeling instead was adamant about having this boy acknowledge her existence. She grabbed him by the waist trying to pull him up so that he could see her face. She was sure he would certainly want to talk then, but as she touched his waist she felt her arms being pushed aside and next she felt herself forcefully taking a few steps backwards...
Lucas felt someone touching his ribs and quite frankly he was pissed. He was in so much pain and someone was touching him. This made him angry. He then involuntary pushed the arms aside and then returned his hands to the centre of his body and pushed forward with all his might! At this moment the buzzing in his ears had stopped so he looked up to see an off-balance girl moving a few steps backwards.
Lucas thought wait but I know this girl. She is the pretty girl I didn't have the courage to talk to. It was at this moment that Lucas took notice of his surroundings. He saw that the bus was on the way. And the way this girl was moving she was sure to crash into it... That would make him a murderer! Lucas sucked in a large breath of air.
Lucas thought of how he could absolve this situation from the worst case scenario to the best case. He saw her hand stretched out and realized he must grab her hand and try to pull her back to him.
" Mmm, I like this plan!" he thought.
All this happened in split seconds, it is said that the brain can think four times faster than the mouth can speak words. Then there are times where humans can wield supernatural powers due to the influence of epinephrine (1).
Lucas pressed his foot hard against the ground and leapt forwards. If this was the world of anime the ground would have broken so much force Lucas put into it. Lucas grabbed on to her hand. And then tugged her towards himself. But there was one problem he did not calculate. Although the girl was moving in the correct direction. He was not. In fact, at the rate, he was going. He could not stop himself even if he willed it.
After a few steps, he found himself on the road and right in front of him was a huge bus that was honking and tooting for him to get out the way. But Lucas knew that any effort to move away now was futile. So he would rather live his last moments with dignity.
He started thinking " Aaaah, I was just about to start my dream. Now I am not even going to get there. I'm going to be another young death statistic," Lucas shook his head and proceeded back to thought " I was just about to own my own fridge. Man, I'm still a virgin! If I knew I would I would die here today I would have talked to the girl who seemed to take notice of me. Well, of course, this wouldn't change my status but at least I would have known the name of the girl I'm dying for. Aaah! Honestly, I wonder what happens next?"
Screeeeeeech!
The driver slammed on his brakes trying to stop in time and began swerving but to no avail, he was going to fast and before he realized.
Boom!
A loud sound was heard accompanied by the cracking of bones. The driver immediately came out the bus that was still standing upright and looked at the aftermath but lost all will to live when he saw the bloody scene before his eyes. He subconsciously thought " It's not my fault, it's not my fault" he repeated these words like a mantra but still felt an incredible amount of guilt. Like the world was weighing down on his shoulders.
He eventually came back to his senses and shouted, " call an ambulance " Even though deep down he knew the futility because this boy was long dead. He then shouted, " Call the police" and took a large gulp of air.
