63 Late?

The next morning Lucas woke up in his King sized bed. He removed the white duvet covering his body and then sat upright on the corner of his bed, " Good morning Thea. Can you please show me my stats?"

[ Good morning Lucas. Coming right up.

" Looks like the rewards for the quest has come through just fine. I also see that I gained more AP and EXP than I was supposed to get. I guess the system counted the tournament as a PVP battle and I was rewarded per battle too."

[System!]

" Ah, sorry. I forgot. I should refer to you as Thea from now. It's just heard when I'm doing a monologue."

[ Well get used to it.]

" Will do," Lucas said revealing a grin.

" Anyways where was I. Oh, yes. Now that my rewards are in I can increase the necessary things. For one I seem to have an abundance of AP. 1455 to be exact. If I remember correctly it costs 100 AP to buy an E rank spell. But to upgrade is only 90. So with that, I am going to upgrade all my spells to E rank. I currently have 10 spells in my arsenal. That will cost 900 AP. Then I'll have 500 left to use when the need arises... Even though I can't cast E rank spells yet. With my mana control. I won't cast beyond my limit and keep it at F rank level."

With that Lucas went into Thea's store and upgraded all his spells. Leaving him with only 500 AP left.

" Okay next is my SP. I have 40 SP. That's a lot! The most I've been able to use at once at least... Anyway, looking at my attributed my int is by far the highest. Makes sense I am a Mage after all. My wisdom seems to be severely lacking. My strength is okay. Dexterity is okay. Charisma isn't needed. Besides I've already caught the attention of many people. Oh, and lastly luck. This needs work of course. So I'm thinking of rounding up the numbers as much as possible. So I'm putting one into Int. Making that 60. Then I'll put 8 into strength and 5 into dexterity. This will increase my cast speed further. As well as my agility when dashing. I'll put 12 into wisdom and then another 12 into luck. According to my calculations, I have 2 SP left. So I'll just put into Int. Can't go wrong there. Perfect! My desired archetype is coming along. Nothing beats a jack of all trades. Even though a jack of all trades is said to be a master of no trades. But with Thea's help. I am positive I can be a master of all trades. Well, at least the ones I want to be in."

After Lucas had finished deciding he put all his SP into his attributes further increasing his stats. As Lucas increased his stats he felt his power increase. He could feel his body increase in power as the haemoglobin in his blood was now able to carry more oxygen. He felt that his hand-eye coordination felt better. He felt the speed that his brain was sending messages to his body was much faster and undisturbed. This was due to the myelin sheath around his nerves. The original was upgraded. The upgraded version further insulated the nerves further, allowing for a faster transmission between efferent and afferent neurons. He felt he became a lot wiser. As decisions that puzzled him before. Seemed clear as day. He also had a clearer and faster vision of how to achieve his goal. To be the strongest under the heavens... The one thing that was hard to decern was his luck factor. He could feel a slight change. Like the looming doom, he kept sensing since coming to this world took a few steps backs. But even that was unclear. But so is fate. It's a bizarre set of turns and events. It's a game of chance and probability. Complicated is an understatement.

Once Lucas was done inputting all the SP he looked at his attributes one last time before closing the tab.

Strength – 40

Dexterity – 40

Intelligence – 62

Wisdom – 40

Charisma – 4

Luck - 20

Lucas marvelled at his stats. It felt like only yesterday when came to this world and he was level one. Now he is level 18. Lucas's self-praise only lasted for a moment. As soon after an even stronger will to grow stronger burnt within his heart. Even though he was strong. In the grand scheme of things, he was weak. These first years were nothing to him and staying in this grade was not going to benefit him at all. Only increase his ego being around people of the same age but surpassing them by years. He wondered if perhaps he could skip a grade or two. As Lucas didn't need to learn about basic spells. He was more interested in the things he didn't know. Like when he was fighting the fire spirit. It trapped him in the same move he could perform. Lucas could perform the move. But how was he supposed to defend against it? Was there a way to sense it or did it just come with battle experience? These were the type of things Lucas felt was invaluable and one of the reasons he came here. As if it were for spells, Thea had an abundance of them. There was no need to learn spells from a school. But he wanted to know how to wield said skills effectively. Also, he wanted to know how to defend against these skills in an environment where he isn't putting his life on the line just yet. Once he has the hang of it he could take on some quests at the adventure guild and then he can put his life on the line. But at least he will know how to defend against it. Even if the power is amplified by the level of the user.

After much thought, Lucas heard a knocking on his door. He wondered who would be knocking on his door in the morning. But then he figured it might be the military official that wanted to meet him yesterday. So he walked to the white door and took a hold of the golden knob. Lucas twisted the knob and pulled the door towards him. Then he looked at the person in front of him. But to his surprise, it was no military official. It was just a normal official that worked here. After seeing the official Lucas looked at her with a confused face. He was wondering why she was knocking on his door so early in the morning.

The official noticed Lucas confused look. Then just released a sigh of disappointment, " You are late for class! All the students have already eaten breakfast and left for class. Because you are the pride of the E rankers. We didn't put the alarm on in your room, to allow you to get some extra sleep. We thought you would wake up yourself. We were obviously mistaken. Did you not check your timetable on your student card? If you did you would know that classes start early! Aaah! You're are the King of The First Years. This title holds more than meets the eye. Please don't disgrace yourself and our dorm by being late. I made you some breakfast. It's in this lunchbox. Please eat it on the way. Oh, and someone dropped this off for you this morning. You are lucky. That looks like a lot! No go change into your mage robe and be off!"

While listening Lucas got the shock of his life. He had no idea classes started so early in the morning. Neither did he know that he could see his timetable on his student card. He assumed the receptionists left that part out because they were rattled due to Seth Thornheart's antics. Nonetheless, he realized he should have asked someone when class was starting. As when did, he expect to arrive in class?

Once the official was gone Lucas slammed the door. This was an accident because he was in a hurry. He put his breakfast and the item into Thea's storage and took out his coat. Then he put it on. Once the coat was on he had to admit that it was really flashy. It was blue. On the top the coat it was black. It had gold lines on the sides of the coat. Once it was one Lucas ran out of his room and closed the door. Automatically locking the door. Only to be opened with Lucas's student card. Lucas ran towards the elevator and took it all the way to the bottom of the building. Lucas had his own elevator. So there was no wait. It went straight down. Once he reached the bottom he ran out through the cafeteria waving at the officials as he left for his first day of class.
