1 The princess' resolve

Elfrida woke up due to shouts from her mother's room.

Once again she knew her mummy was being abused by her so called father.

It's really funny that others think of him as a good king worthy of emulation and the best father.

She decides to lay back in bed and cover her face with the blanket.

She is tired of crying.

Crying does not solve the problem at hand.

From now on,"Elfrida vowed"I will remain single FOR LIFE."

This signaled the start of the change in Elfrida.

She was no longer the timid princess though she pretends to be one.

Whenever,her mother is sexually abused she would pretend not to hear and do whatever she wants to do.

Her resolve to never marry began to gain strength day by day and finally now that she 18 years old ripe for marriage it had become very strong.

She knew the real war will begin now.

The suitors,they will all come and ask for her hand in marriage.

But she will never marry them.

To her,all men are liars and evil.

They should never exist in the first place.

Even if her dad stopped abusing her mum three years ago and they seem to love each other now,she will never be fooled.

Marriage is but a taboo to her.
